“ControlBoard Scheduling
Pros
Setting up multiple projects is easy for me. I can easily move crews and laborers between projects. Importing subcontractors and equipment is quick and efficient. Texting to cancel crews or send messages is really handy.
Cons
The copy function sometimes accidentally duplicates crews or workers. If I have a note for a worker and extend their duration, that same note carries over for the entire new duration I've assigned.

Pros
Moving crews and subcontractors to different projects to handle changing schedules is simple and convenient.
Cons
We're still getting acquainted with ControlBoard, but I don't have any downsides to mention at this point.

“Easy scheduling app for Trucks and Resources
Pros
Scheduling jobs and resources is effortless, and it cuts down on the need to communicate with multiple parties daily. Changes to schedules and notes can be easily communicated to everyone, and the mass text messaging feature makes updating on changes and issues easy.
Cons
From an operational standpoint, the job schedule can be somewhat cumbersome, and the interface feels a bit overwhelming.

ControlBoard is the only tool that has truly met our scheduling requirements. The team at ControlBoard have gone above and beyond to make adjustments and modifications to suit our specific needs.
Cons
The software offers many features, which makes the learning curve a bit steep. However, Support team is just a phone call away and has been very supportive.

Cons
There are numerous views, reports, and pages. Sometimes it's challenging to remember how to access a specific report that isn't used frequently.

I appreciate the functionality of ControlBoard. It lets me see where each crew is daily and track their activities on specific days. It's easy to get the exact information I need and all job details quickly.
Cons
Occasionally, the filters can make it hard to find a job, as adjustments are needed to make the job appear.

What I like most about ControlBoard is the intuitive interface. When employees are promoted to managerial roles, we require them to become familiar with the program, and we haven't encountered any issues.
Cons
What I liked least about ControlBoard is the setup. It takes some time to configure properly. Once it's set up for my company, it becomes quite straightforward to use.

Pros
The information provided to the crews is instant, consistent, and delivered through the expected channels. There's no delay in communicating changes in plans. The clean layout and organization make it easy to view both overall and detailed daily and weekly work. The ability to attach work packages has improved engineering and installer communication. The customization for our customers, job names, job numbering system, and crew sizes has streamlined the experience. The software team's support throughout the process has been excellent.
Cons
The process for applying a filter is a bit awkward, and it's even more difficult on mobile devices. We attempted to link ControlBoard to our accounting system, but too many special cases (like scheduling prework on a job that's not yet open) made a direct connection unfeasible. Some user permissions didn't work correctly right away.

Pros
Managing large projects, personnel, and resources with ControlBoard is straightforward and practical. The software is very powerful. Their Support team is incredibly helpful and approachable. Congistics customized several features to meet our needs perfectly, and I couldn't ask for a more effective system.
Cons
The only change I would suggest is for the job schedule to remain exactly as it was for past days, even after jobs are completed. This way, I could easily scroll back and see what was done on any given day without having to adjust settings to view specific allocations. For me, it's easier to view the previous schedule on the calendar exactly as I set it.

ControlBoard made it simple to import jobs from Sage 100 Contractor and assign employees to those jobs.

We use this software for scheduling, and it's easy to view every crew, resource, and job on the same menu, which really helps us organize schedules for the upcoming weeks.
Cons
There are occasional small glitches, but the ControlBoard team always helps us resolve them quickly. Some old features from the server version, like the ease of typing descriptions in the job view, were removed, but new ones that make moving crews around easier were added.

I can provide my field team with lots of information like addresses, job numbers, start times, and contacts, and transfer it to their mobile devices almost instantly. I also appreciate the texting feature for sending important messages.
Cons
Some features that seemed awkward in the new ControlBoard software were ones I enjoyed in the old version, like using my keyboard to copy and delete resources, which now requires dragging back and forth. I might not be using this software to its full potential since there's still more to learn.
