Do not recommend

Pros

N/A (Regarding the service I intended to use this platform for, I didn't find any positives as I didn't receive any leads. Therefore, for me, there are no pros.)

Cons

Despite being a customer of Houzz since its early beginnings in London in 2017, I have to say that I've always found the Houzz platform very useful, somewhat like Facebook. It's an enjoyable tool that doesn't necessarily require payment but can still provide some benefits. However, I've long considered advertising on their platform, as it promised enticing client leads that would boost my business who wouldn't want that? Sadly, to make a long story short, after almost 10 months of service and receiving only three measly leads that weren't even relevant to the services we provide, I have to conclude that this has been (and sadly still is!!!) a complete waste of money for us. We haven't received a single good lead that could generate any revenue. I was told that the "magical system of Houzz" requires at least a six-month commitment, which is why they try to lock you into a 12-month contract. Needless to say, this is purely so they can profit from running their ads, and six months didn't change anything. I'm extremely disappointed as a frequent user of their platform prior to this membership. Even though we never received any direct leads, I was happy to promote our work. However, now that I'm paying for this service in a locked 12-month contract and still not getting any leadsNONE like before, I'm truly repulsed by the platform that brings me nothing but invoices. I hope that anyone who is considering their services thinks ten times before proceeding. Remember, you're signing up for 12, very, very long months of invoices with absolutely 0% chance of getting anything in return. I hope this helps someone, just as I wish someone had warned me beforehand. All the best, Dom.

Great Project Management Software for the Remodeling Industry

Pros

It's easy to use and offers great flexibility for accounting. I love the ability to track expenses per project, and the feature that allows me to upload invoices and receipts. Generating estimates and invoices is also a breeze.

Cons

The mobile app is slow and not very functional in the field.

Just Great

Pros

Overall, it's a fantastic product. It offers a wide range of options and an extensive selection of floor plans and decor ideas. The 3D rendering is particularly impressive.

Cons

There aren't any major cons; there is a learning curve, but it's a very useful product.

Houzz Pro is a very helpful tool to utilize

Pros

It's user friendly and helps me grow my business. The accessible brands and tools, along with the platform's attention to detail, are highly valuable.

Cons

There's nothing that particularly stands out about Houzz Pro. I would recommend it to anyone running a business or even for DIY projects. It provides many insights and ideas that benefit anyone.

Lied to about membership

Pros

The website was the best part, and the search functionality was superb.

Cons

It doesn't align with what my company is doing. The sales representative overpromised, and we were also told it was a month-to-month membership.

Great Experience!

Pros

Designing and sourcing products are crucial aspects of my business. The fact that I can find everything in one place is a gamechanger for me!

Cons

While I'm new to the site as a business, I've always enjoyed using it as a user. My experience is still very new, but so far, I can't think of many negatives that would fall into the "improvement needed" category. I'm still actively learning all the features the site has to offer, but thus far, I'm very happy with my decision to stop doing everything manually and invest in tools that make my life easier and my business more productive.

Houzz Pro Extends Our Reach

Pros

The portfolio feature within Houzz is an excellent way to drive traffic to our website and secure initial consultations. The ability for potential clients to message us on Houzz and discuss their project is another fantastic feature that helps us prescreen leads and determine if an initial consultation aligns with their goals for their home. Overall, we have had success with these leads.

Cons

While having a link to our website is helpful as is the portfolio, it would be great if we could showcase our 360 tours of our kitchen and bath projects. I believe that would captivate visitors to our profile even more. Additionally I have found that the Houzz project match leads haven't aligned with our scope of work, making them cold leads for us.

Intuitive and Welcoming UI/UX!

Pros

As a new (and sole) business owner, Houzz has helped me put many moving pieces in place. I can manage projects, follow up on leads, and track them. In addition, I have built a sleek-looking website by just using the offered templates. I think this feature alone is enough to encourage businesses to invest in Houzz Pro.

Cons

Since Im the only one who uses this software in my business right now, it is sometimes a lot for me to understand new features. They add features (for the better), but it changes how I work, and it takes a while for me to get comfortable again. On the other hand, they make a lot of effort to look ahead, which I find endearing, so its ultimately worthwhile.

Mixed feelings about this

Pros

Efficient project management and communication with multiple clients works really well thanks to email and SMS options.

Cons

We use Quickbooks to manage our bills but the connection this software has with quickbooks is a mess. Very hard to make it work.

It has helped my business thrive!

Pros

I have been able to manage and bill my customers in one place. The estimates are so professional looking without you doing anything extra it adds a lot to my company profile.

Cons

Features are great but Im the type of person whod like constant trainings to squeeze every feature to its limit.

A very, very solid option!

Pros

It has combined almot everything we need in one place namely proposal, invoicing, and client database. We still use Basecamp for our project management but Houzz goes along with it so well we dont mind it.

Cons

If only customization was a bit more flexible. We cant really adjust how large our company logo looks on a document. The price is so reasonable so I am letting the issue go.

Could use some improvements

Pros

What I used to pay with IVY I still do but Im not willing to spend extra unless they improve the features. Proposals can be easily created as well as invoices thats what i like about it.

Cons

Mobile apps are basically useless since you dont have all the functionality of a desktop app. Reporting is so bad it needs a complete re-do.

Great integration of portfolio, website, and advertising

Pros

Creating a Houzz profile and then easily creating a website from that data is the pro Id mention every time Im asked.

Cons

Some more website creations tools would be appreciated. Other apps such as shopify are better at that.

Needs some serious improvements

Pros

If you are looking for a solution in the designing space then this is the right software for you. It has some very industry specific features that has helped us a lot in interior designing.

A promising tool for professionals

Pros

We basically started using it to create a new website which went so great that we ventured in other features of Houzz. The best feature so far has been the leads and projects function that is a perfect way to track your jobs.

Cons

You need a dedicated person to manage the system and You cant print lead details directly.

Found it a bit hard to love but it works as advertised

Pros

There are good features but just not the ones I was expecting. Communicating with client is quick and reliable. Estimates are accurate and easy to interpret.

Cons

Estimates do not save sometimes for no reason. And they look good when you send them as an e-mail but everything is out of place once you export them to PDF.
