faster dispatch and invoicing

Pros

Using eMobile and Dispatch Scheduler has made our customer service process much more organized and I've noticed a big boost in productivity. I really appreciate that we no longer rely on paper work orders and I find the connection between field operations and accounting much stronger now. Payroll feels more accurate to me and invoices go out faster since technicians complete tasks directly on their devices.

Cons

Job Costing module feels very tough to work with and job invoicing can be pretty tedious. When handling multiple customers for monthly draws, it takes a lot of time because you have to keep going in and out of each individual job just to complete invoicing. Another frustration is that if there isn't already a bill-to set up in accounts receivable, you have to leave the job master, go into AR to create it and then return to the job master to finish the setup.

detailed tracking but buggy workflow

Pros

Every action being logged and auditable is something I value, as it gives me clear visibility into who handled each task. I find the detailed workflows useful for maintaining strong audit trails and I also see real value in the eMobile features for both field and dispatch teams.

Cons

From a visual standpoint, the interface really needs work. The scale and sizing can't be adjusted and a lot of screens and modules are so tiny that they're difficult to read. The mobile version looks a bit better but it still isn't very user-friendly for technicians trying to use it while in the middle of a job. On top of that, every task turns into a long, drawn-out process that feels like seven steps are required for something that should take one. While the audit capability may be a selling point for the developers, as a regular user it's not something I ever rely on, yet it's baked into nearly everything I do. Even though it's promoted as a "true accounting software," it often feels like it was designed from an accountant's worst instincts making simple day-to-day tasks far more tedious than they need to be. And when the system has to handle bigger-picture needs, it really falls apart. Financial reporting and high-level overviews are so vague and diluted that they are close to useless. Because the software generates so much tiny, granular data, the larger reports and financial analysis end up offering very little that is actually helpful. Even drill-down functionality is missing in any meaningful sense.
