“Reliable choice!”

I really like that the software offers many different report options. Over time, I have learned where to find and use these reports properly.
Cons
I found it challenging to figure out which reports would give me the information I needed.

“easy reporting once learned”
Pros
There are a lot of reporting options in the software and I've learned over time where those reports are and how to use them effectively.
Cons
At first, it was hard to tell which reports would give me the exact information I needed. After spending more time with it, I figured out which reports and settings provide the data I'm looking for.

“Real time connected enterprise”
Pros
It brings every part of our company together in a single package and I find that this real-time alignment across departments has been incredibly valuable.
Cons
A few features we've been told are on the roadmap still haven't actually materialized which has been a bit disappointing.

“Choosing Jonas was the right decision!”
Pros
I switched to Jonas mainly for the Job Costing feature and it continues to make my life easier. Payroll has also proven to be quite efficient, especially with managing multiple union agreements. Plus Jonas has helped us streamline our accounting processes and made everything run a lot more efficiently.
Cons
What I like least about Jonas is the Report Design feature. I find it hard to maneuver and create the reports I need.

“Efficient job costing payroll system”
Pros
We originally moved to this software for the Job Costing feature and I still consider it one of the main reasons I'm satisfied with the switch. I've also found payroll much more efficient especially when managing multiple union agreements.
Cons
The part I'm least satisfied with is the Report Design feature. It's hard to navigate and putting together the reports I need can be frustrating.

“easy paperless field management”
Pros
Switching to eMobile and Field Time made a noticeable difference for us and I've seen how it helped the office go paperless while improving job and work order management. I find the system easy to use and whenever I need help, support and trainers have been available without disrupting our existing processes.
Cons
Our only real complaint has been the hosted server through Contegix. That said we're scheduled to move to Azure in early May 2020 and we've heard very positive feedback about that service.

“Unified service accounting platform”
Pros
Having everyone working within the same system is a major advantage and I appreciate how easily I can pull service details, maintenance records and accounting information whenever needed.
Cons
Building reports and creating custom documents can be challenging. Even though the addition of Emobile has been a welcome improvement, we still run into issues from time to time that need help from the IT support team.

“responsive user focused development team”
Pros
From my experience, their team operates with a real sense of partnership and I feel they genuinely listen to users. I've seen them refine the software to match industry needs, collaborate with other providers and welcome feedback in a way that makes the product more practical for everyone.
Cons
One issue comes up when I invoice customers on contracts in the million-dollar range, the commas don't print on the invoice. Because of that, I have to manually correct the invoices before sending them out.

“scalable system”
Pros
After putting in the time to learn the system properly, I found the flexibility to be excellent. The initial setup effort paid off for me and once our staff adapted, it became a reliable solution that I could tailor to our needs even replacing multiple older databases we previously relied on.
Cons
Report writer could definitely be more powerful but overall it still isn't hard to pull the information you need from the system.

“inconsistent support experience issues”
Pros
It's dependable and does what it's supposed to do and I find the features align well with what our business actually needs.
Cons
To run software in different environments can be pretty finicky. There are frequent issues that become frustrating to work through with support and the quality of their reps is really inconsistent, I've had some who were very helpful and others who were completely useless when I needed assistance.

“All in one department”
Pros
Having project management, estimating, accounting and other departments in one system makes it very user-friendly for me and I appreciate being able to handle everything without switching between programs.
Cons
From the accounting side, there are still a few system glitches that stand out. It also doesn't feel as simple as Sage50 which is built specifically for accounting. Something that takes one click in Sage can take three here so the accounting functionality could definitely be developed a bit more.

Pros
Starting with Book felt simple for me and I found it easy to learn. The Excel-based database also makes exporting data very convenient in my experience.

“strong audit job costing system”
Pros
One of the things I really appreciate is how well the system is structured and I've found the way the trial balance connects through to job costing and financial statements extremely useful. I also value that entries cannot be deleted, only corrected which has helped me track issues months later. The job costing module stands out for gross profit analysis and I've found the user permission controls very powerful, allowing me to manage access at a very detailed level whenever needed.
Cons
There is not much for me to complain about but a few areas could definitely be better. The procedures for completing specific tasks, including shortcuts and helpful tricks, need more detail. There is an online procedures module but it does not fully cover everything. The Contacts section is also not very user-friendly. It can be confusing to figure out where a contact should be created, whether it should be job-related or non-job-related and where exactly those contacts are stored. On top of that, more people in my company need a better understanding of how to use that part of the system.

“Poor reporting design issues”
Pros
The platform feels very user-friendly to me and I like its sleek, polished design.

“profitability insight across locations”
Pros
Running an MEP contracting business with over 100 employees across four locations, I've found this software matches our needs really well. Our previous system lacked the level of data we needed but now I can clearly track job profitability at any stage, keep the service department organized and manage accounts receivable more effectively.
Cons
Like most software platforms in this category, there was definitely an adjustment period. The test company they provided before we went live was useful but it still took time to learn how everything worked. Now that we've had more time with it, the team feels comfortable navigating the system and pulling the information we need.

“frustrating support and usability”
Pros
One thing I appreciated was the lower price compared to other options we considered. I also found the service module great, the dispatch board concept useful and the payroll module an improvement over what we had before.
Cons
Customer service has been absolutely terrible. The software is not simple at all so unless you're basically an IT expert, it's difficult to use and even harder to build reports. On top of that, the report writer works differently from one module to another which makes things more confusing. There are no dashboards either. After only three years, I'm already looking for another solution.

“Simple payroll accounting”
Pros
Compared with our previous system, I've found this has made life in Accounting much simpler. Even with a complex payroll setup involving multiple unions, I was able to configure it ?????? and I keep discovering better ways to align daily entries.
Cons
There really aren't many downsides but the biggest issue for us is the limited number of characters allowed when entering AP invoice numbers.

“Strong integrated system”
Pros
It's a fully featured accounting system and I find the integration across modules very strong. The job costing is detailed and I can rely on the wide range of reporting options available.
Cons
Setting up everything took quite a bit of time and not being able to enter field hours or usage when there's no internet connection is a real downside.
