One issue I've noticed with SmartPM is its SPI calculation accuracy, especially when the planned percentage completion hits 100%. The frequent pop-up notifications interrupt discussions and reduce the platform's convenience. Also, the Gantt chart interface could use some improvements to match the intuitive experience provided by Primavera's Gantt display.

Cons
Sometimes, analyzing the uploaded schedules takes longer than anticipated. The application runs through a web browser, and clicking various links opens multiple windows, which can get confusing. It might be better if the UI operated in a single window with functional back buttons.

SmartPM is incredibly easy to learn and very effective for communicating schedule status. Uploading schedules is quick, and within minutes, all metrics are available. The Windows Analysis is a game-changer. What used to take me weeks or even months now takes minutes or hours. I can't imagine analyzing any project without SmartPM anymore.
Cons
There are a few areas where SmartPM makes assumptions and alters dates in the schedule. This is what I dislike the most about the program. I'd prefer if the software showed me the assumptions it wants to make but let me decide whether to apply the changes so that my imported data remains intact. I know SmartPM is working on a solution, so this doesn't deter me from using the program.

The company dashboards and project summary pages are very well done. I'm very impressed with how easy it is to run a schedule quality check and upload project updates. The implementation and training support have been excellent, greatly speeding up our adoption and use of the product.
