“No more stress as it helps me organize meetings
Pros
What I love most about Clay is the community. It feels like there is support around the clock. Do not get me wrong here as I do use their official support when needed but since everyone talks about Clay, who better to ask than an actual fan and user? I really enjoy how easy it is to use this tool how simple it is to navigate and how you can start getting results in just 2 to 3 weeks.
Cons
Right now I don't really have anything bad to share but I will be honest if something comes up later.

“The top low-code tool for technical users
Pros
I really like the table format in Clay. Because others who use flow charts make it difficult to see the results of automation. But with the table view I can clearly see how things will turn out. Also I like the AI formula generator.
Cons
It is really hard to figure out the cost of my automations. Clay makes it difficult to know how much your automations will use in terms of tokens while you are building them.

“Great and incredibly powerful
Pros
These data tools are very powerful. Plus I love being able to combine all my data sources while prospecting. The enrichment feature is also amazing. And the AI writing tools are great though they require some upfront effort, they are totally worth it. Overall it is quite easy to use and get started with.
Cons
Nothing I dislike but I do wish it was easier to integrate with my CRM and LinkedIn.

“Most of our workflows are now automated thanks to Clay
Pros
There is so much to love about Clay. Here are the highlights for me. It offers a lot of integrations that automate our entire workflow, many free in-built tools like Clay Company Search, People Search and Company URL verification. Paid tools like Claygent Neon and Clay enrichment are awesome too. I can even create custom workflows for each task making everything more customized to our needs. If used correctly it can even be affordable than other options especially for things like phone data enrichment with low credit options and APIs. Customer support is super amazing too as they are always friendly and helpful. I use it daily and cannot imagine going back to life before Clay.
Cons
I do not dislike anything in particular but there are a few things that could definitely be improved. It can get pretty expensive if you do not know how to use APIs and integrations. Setting up the correct waterfall and using the right APIs can really change the game for your outbound efforts. Payment Transparency is a common issue with many tools as they show pricing in credits. It makes sense if an action takes one credit but with different credit costs for different actions, it would be helpful to either show the cost in dollars or have a pop up before running an action to give a sense of the total cost. P.S.: They say you get 3000 free credits if you use a referral link but they do not mention that you only get them if you subscribe to a paid plan. Also the interface can be a bit complex for new users, especially since you buy credits on a workspace level not an account level. So if you use a referral link, create a workspace and then subscribe to Pro, you may not get your referral credits unless you contact customer support. I prefer having account level billing for all workspaces. Some options are hard to find and I feel like the old UI worked better than the new one but thats just my opinion.

“Hard to use and not worth your time
Pros
The support is helpful and responsive but honestly, I should not have to reach out to them so often. I used to use Cognism and it was way better.
Cons
It is so complex that it is honestly put me off using it. It takes way too long to get anywhere and I have not gotten any real benefit from the tool. Plus it is quite frustrating to have a prospecting tool that wastes so much of my time trying to use it.

I love how this tool lets your imagination run wild. With access to over 100 data providers including AI, we now can accomplish so much more than before.
Cons
To be honest Clay is absolutely amazing but if you do not have APIs, it can get pretty expensive depending on what you want or need to do.

It is like a complete package. From scraping and enriching lead data to sending personalized email campaigns it does everything. Also I love how it integrates with my existing tech stack for free so we do not waste credits.
Cons
I find it a bit expensive when it comes to actual credit usage.

The thing I like the most is that Clay takes the busywork out of my outreach. It pulls all the data I need into one place so I can work faster and focus on what really matters.
Cons
Honestly I cannot think of anything to dislike. At first it felt a bit intimidating but once I got into it, it was like playing a video game at the hardest level and winning as I am hooked now and there is no turning back.

Clay has made programmatic, automated lead sourcing, enrichment, research and outreach accessible to everyone. The result of it is that sales tech is now way more available to non-programmers like me.
Cons
There are frequent bugs, updates and things that are still missing, like tracking credit usage and bucketing for multiple projects/clients in one table. But overall I would say it is way ahead of other sales tech platforms like Apollo, Hubspot and Outreach.

“The number one enrichment tool right now
Pros
It provides the most accurate data by using multiple providers which has greatly improved our reachability. It has a spreadsheet like feel making it really easy to get started.
Cons
You can burn through credits pretty quickly if you are not sure what you are doing. So beware as it can get expensive fast and let me tell you that only pricing relief comes with the highest plan, which offers a better cost per credit.

Cons
Honestly there is very little to dislike about it. If I had to nitpick it would be that the sheer range of its capabilities can feel overwhelming at first. But with a little time and the great customer support team, it quickly becomes a non issue.

Pros
It has completely changed what I thought was possible with sales automation and prospecting. It is easy to learn and implement with an amazing support team. I use it all the time and it integrates with all the popular tools.
Cons
Not everyone can afford a paid subscription but the good thing is that they really make up for it with their free tier.

It works great both in the USA and internationally. The search functionality is also simple whether I am looking at a macro or micro level.
Cons
I do not have any complaints yet. However the program does not automatically tell you the most efficient way to search but if you look for online tips on how to search, you will find ways to get the info you need without burning through credits.

It lets me automate everything inline from inbound and outbound to enrichment. Overall it is a great tool.
Cons
There is a learning curve as it took me some time to understand everything. And it can take some time to run tables if you are getting really technical.

Clay is like Google Sheets but with way easier ways to connect APIs. Plus I also like the ecosystem and available APIs are amazing.
Cons
The credits are overpriced. They do not offer much value compared to using the API key directly. So I don't use Clay for the credits, I use it for the features and amazing company and people search. The credits would make sense if the model was that I pay just a little more like 5% extra for using Dropcontact through Clay credits. But sometimes, a Clay credit is 10 times more expensive than its API counterpart which is ridiculous. Despite all this it is amazing and will revolutionize the world of no-code outbound sales and probably much more.
