It is a really polished marketing app that's perfect for growing businesses. I am also glad there is a mobile version available.
Cons
I honestly cannot think of any downsides as sometimes it runs a little slow but that might just be on our end.

Pros
Commence is one of the few programs on my computer that's always worked reliably, accurately and flexibly. Plus being able to customize the calendar in so many useful ways with such great tools makes it one of my all-time favorite pieces of software.
Cons
Even after 15 years I still don't have any complaints. I cannot say that about any other software I use.

“easy to understand and incredibly useful
Pros
The interface is easy to understand which makes customizing and automating tasks really simple. Also I love that you can add categories with custom fields, link them together and create letter templates that generate quotes or cover letters with just one click. Overall it's incredibly useful.
Cons
We had a little trouble getting Mobile Link set up at first but once it was running, it worked perfectly.

Pros
Commence lets us customize our CRM to automate our business processes which improves efficiency, usability and quality control. Another huge plus is being able to roll out custom updates without disrupting users.
Cons
It strikes a great balance between features and functionality and it's been essential for growing our business. Setting up a customized solution takes some effort as it would with any platform but it is totally worth it and key to our success.

Pros
I really want to thank Commence Tech Support. They fixed all my issues and even took extra time to show me different ways to use the software. Working with the rep was great too as she was absolutely fantastic.
Cons
To be honest I never received proper training on the software so I cannot criticize it unfairly. I have scheduled future training which I am sure will help me be more productive.

“The best and most flexible CRM
Pros
Commence is hands-down the best and most flexible CRM I have used over the years. We have been using the desktop version since the mid-90s and it's still a fast and relevant solution. Also the search function is incredibly quick. As someone who is a bit tech-oriented, I like how it lets me customize things to meet my company's specific data needs. It's kept pace with our growth, constantly adding new features and simple solutions.
Cons
In the original version syncing the desktop database could sometimes be glitchy but that's no longer an issue with the web version.

“Best Choice for Dealership Management

I've been using this for over 21 years and it's incredibly flexible and works great for both small and midsized companies with multiple ways to implement it. The support team is dependable and really helpful when you need assistance. What I love most is how I can organize everything into just 3 simple categories, people, companies and activities. The connections you can make between these categories are endless which makes managing everything so much more easy.
Cons
Due to its incredible flexibility and countless customization options, you really need an expert to help map out your setup and workflow. The calendar features took a hit when they updated the interface to mimic Outlook's appearance. Don't get me wrong and it still beats Outlook and Google hands down for linking activities, contacts and companies for scheduling and planning but the visual design just isn't as polished. It's frustrating because it wouldn't take much effort to address these issues.

“Poor Experience Overall

I honestly can't think of anything good to mention about this.
Cons
Their customer service is honestly terrible. It had an issue recently and they claimed I somehow missed paying for maintenance last year, so now they want to charge me over three times the normal rate going forward! This is after being a loyal customer for 30 years and them actually providing support past their so-called deadline. The way they treat long-term customers is just unacceptable. I'd recommend looking at literally any other option instead of dealing with this kind of treatment.

The functionality is solid and customizing it has been very smooth. Reporting and analytics work well for our needs. Technical support team has been excellent whenever we've reached out. Great value too and costs about half what most competing solutions charge.

I appreciate how they've tailored every part of the system to fit our specific workflow requirements.
Cons
The client based system we're stuck with needs constant syncing which has prevented us from upgrading to better versions. This creates delays when sharing information and means we need extra support for users who forget to sync regularly.

“Comprehensive & feature rich platform
Pros
What really stands out is being able to modify screens on the fly when we need to add something beyond what's already in the project file and it gets taken care of the same day. The customer service has been really solid too.
Cons
It takes some time to get used to this program because there's so much functionality and it can feel overwhelming at first.
