“Fantastic support for gyms”
Pros
GymMaster has been an excellent tool for running our gym and the customer support has been the biggest highlight. I've contacted them quite a few times because I really wanted to learn everything the software could do for us and every interaction has been positive. There haven't been long wait times and the team has consistently been friendly, patient and truly helpful. When I explain what I'm trying to accomplish or figure out, they don't give canned responses or point me to generic FAQs. Instead, they take the time to understand my specific situation and come back with real answers and practical solutions. It's obvious they genuinely want their customers to succeed and get the most out of the software and that has made a huge difference for us. I would absolutely recommend GymMaster, both for the platform itself and for the amazing support team behind it.
Cons
The data migration took a little longer than we expected but we were also transferring a large number of members into the system.

“Reliable overview”
Pros
It gives a clear overview, feels simple to use and has been dependable when it comes to uptime and day-to-day operation. The available features and possibilities are solid as well. On top of that the people handling support by email have been very helpful.
Cons
The payment fees are too expensive and it's also missing Scandinavian payment integrations like Nets, Vipps and MobilePay.

Pros
This tool has been a fantastic fit for us. It's very simple to work with, the reports are excellent and the support line is genuinely helpful because you can speak with someone who actually understands how the software works. It has served us really well, keeps improving over time and we've been using it since 2012.
Cons
A few of the newer support team members haven't been as strong as the original staff. It would also be really helpful to have an annual check-in with an experienced expert who could review how we're using this and walk us through new updates or features we might not be taking full advantage of.

Pros
Switching to this platform has honestly been one of the best decisions I've made for my business. Moving over to the system was about as simple as it could be and their team has been incredibly helpful throughout the whole process.
Cons
The only thing I'd really like to see is a payment processor that can automatically update expired cards and give me a way to email members directly. Aside from that, I really don't have any complaints.

From the moment someone finally picked up, all of my concerns disappeared almost immediately. I'm genuinely thankful she answered the phone. I've only been at our gym for about five months and Gym Master has already spoiled me with how good the support has been. Their customer service is honestly the best I've ever dealt with and that says a lot because I worked in customer service for more than 22 years. I really appreciate the whole team. You're very lucky to have the people you do because they truly stay on top of everything.
Cons
I really don't have any major complaints but I was on hold for about 25 minutes before I got through to her. Once I learned she was the only person working at that time, I honestly felt bad for her. It might help to have more employees scheduled during that hour. I was still happy with the outcome but I do worry that other people might not be as understanding about the wait.

Pros
Getting started was quick because the interface is simple and doesn't take long to understand. It covers everything in one system, including memberships, billing, bookings and access control which makes daily management much simpler. The membership setup is flexible enough to handle different member types and the access control integration works really well with doors, gates and entry systems. The online member portal is also very convenient for sign-ups, payments and class bookings. Automated reminders save a lot of time by cutting down the need to chase missed payments or bookings. On top of that the reporting gives useful insight into attendance, revenue and member trends. Their support team is very responsive whenever help is needed and the mobile-friendly setup works well for both staff and members using phones. Overall it saves a lot of admin time and lets you focus more on members. It's honestly the most effective and secure all-in-one system you can buy.
Cons
Genuinely don't have any negatives to mention about GymMaster. Even if an issue comes up, support responds incredibly fast and usually gets it sorted out within minutes.

Pros
One of the best parts of Gym Master is the support team.. they're fantastic and the system gets updated on a regular basis. It's also simple to use, simple to customize and feels reasonably priced for what it offers.
Cons
Not being able to duplicate contracts slows things down so I have to recreate a lot of different ones manually. The client-facing app also doesn't feel as modern as some other platforms although it still does the job well enough.

Whenever issues come up, the support team is there to help and they're also willing to adjust the software to fit our specific needs which has been a big plus.
Cons
The product name isn't ideal and there are still some frustrating limitations. You can't use an iPhone or iPad to connect a credit card swiper and the POS doesn't support bill-of-material setups for things like cocktails with multiple ingredients or multiple product sizes drawing from the same inventory, such as 12-ounce and 16-ounce pours from one keg.

Honestly there isn't anything that stands out to me in a positive way.
Cons
It's unbelievable how hard this makes a basic sale. I get six completely useless payment options like cash, voucher and check, yet somehow none of them let me charge a customer's debit or credit card. That makes no sense at all. The whole process is incredibly frustrating and confusing and I should not have to go through a maze of screens, clicks and menus just to charge a client.

“Class booking and calendar functions are great!”
Pros
A new gym opened at the mall near my place and part of the sign-up process was getting set up on the app. It stores your basic information and seems to help the gym manage member accounts really well. The feature I enjoy most is being able to check upcoming class schedules without having to phone anyone. Once I pick a class, I can book a spot directly in the app and secure my place right away. That's much more convenient than calling especially when calls are missed or unanswered. Class booking matters a lot at our gym because the popular time slots, like evenings after 5pm, tend to fill up fast. I also noticed there's a billing section for automating gym payments. I haven't tried it yet but it looks like a very useful feature. I'm a big fan of automation so anything that saves me time gets my attention and I'm planning to test that billing option soon. Another feature I really appreciate is the calendar view that shows all my scheduled classes in one place. Since I'm very visual, that layout works really well for me. The app also makes the gym's details easy to find which is helpful.
Cons
One issue I've noticed affects the class trainers more than the app itself. Some members reserve spots in classes and then don't show up which is frustrating because someone else who wanted to attend may have been unable to book. That said this feels more like a people problem than a flaw in the app. One thing I would still suggest is adding a way for gym members to interact with each other. It could be a nice way to build connections and make friends at the gym.

Running our membership operations with Gymmaster has been much simpler than with other platforms which often feel overly bulky. This system is simple to use and we can manage everything without any hassle. Training new staff is also quick since they usually pick it up within minutes.
Cons
Since we're based on the west coast of Mexico, there can occasionally be a small delay when communicating with the support team in New Zealand. That said it's not a major issue because we rarely need help from them anyway. The platform is very simple and user-friendly so Honestly I have no real complaints.

Gym Master has been really user-friendly and saves a lot of time, plus it integrates nicely with other products. The support team is amazing as well.. they respond quickly and are always helpful when there's a question or something needs to be sorted out.
Cons
A downside is the billing setup: if a member's payment fails a few times, the system disconnects them from using it so I then have to contact the member directly. With Mindbody, it would just keep allowing additional payment attempts.
