“Reliable planning tool

I find it an excellent tool for planning that helps keep everything organized and on track.

Cons

“No support and constant billing problems

ZenPlanner platform was decent overall. But I feel like it would have been nice if there was an app version available.

The customer service was disappointing. As they failed to refund me and ignored our cancellation request completely.

“Isn't worth it

Pros

When we first started using Zen Planner for managing our martial arts school in 2018 I was pleased with how easy it was to set up and how simple it was to use at the time.

Cons

It is always introducing new bugs and glitches into the system. Also it is slow, crashes frequently and essential features like online registration are constantly malfunctioning. The customer service is very poor and they charge unethical fees when we try to leave.

“Better choice among others

Pros

I love the platform's functionality. The financial reports are a huge bonus and the automated features like emails and automatic responses are a great touch.

Cons

Well I wish there was a proper app for trainers like one that includes exercises and videos showing clients how to perform their weight training routines that the trainer assigns to them.

“Hoped to like it more but fell short

Pros

It comes with a solid workout planner/calendar and a timer that can be displayed publicly. The member profile management is also well done.

Cons

We run both fitness and martial arts classes. We had to pick between the standard for martial arts and the fitness-focused beta version but we could not have both. This meant we had to choose between cool features from the beta or having proper rank management for the martial arts programs. This is something that cause problems for us.

“User-friendly but crashes a lot

Pros

Zen Planner's interface was really easy to use and the network ran smoothly with almost no delays when everything was functioning properly.

Cons

The website would sometimes crash during important tasks like signing up new members. I tried reaching out to support when the system was completely down but they were unhelpful and seemed eager to get me off the phone.

“Pretty complex to use

The product's uptime is outstanding for the web application making it highly reliable and ensuring it is always available when we need it.

Cons

It is complicated to use. I struggle to make full use of it and setting up reports is confusing. Plus it does not offer the flexibility a business owner needs.

“Saves us time

Pros

I like how easy Zen Planner made it to handle memberships and track attendance. As it saved us a lot of time and helped keep everything organized.

Cons

One thing I did not like is that the mobile app would close after just a few minutes of inactivity.

“Needs a lot of improvements

We can easily document the most important data from our members.

Cons

It is not very flexible and writing reports is not easy too. Also there is a lot of bugs with testing records that overwrites previous data with blanks if you are not careful. This has caused repeated data entry issues and problems for us.

“Customizable but the app freezes a lot

Pros

Being able to download data into spreadsheets and customize search queries is proven very useful for us and it makes managing information much easier too.

Cons

The app freezes often and behaves inconsistently across features. Like some moments it works fine, others it does not which causes a lot of trouble for us.

“Could be better but not the worst

Pros

The basics were really easy to understand as I did not have to spend much time getting the hang of it. Also the support team responds quickly making it easy to get started.

Cons

I had trouble with notes not saving properly and the reporting system is very basic and hard to navigate. The settings are spread out across multiple pages making it a bit confusing. Also the tasks are too simple and not customizable which made it hard to track and stay on top of them especially since there is no clear separation between dates.
