Great app, but customer service needs improvement

Pros

What I love most is how easy everything is to use. Accessing client information and responding to inquiries is really easy.

Cons

I don't like that theres no way to contact a person when there's an issue. Their website doesn't even have a contact phone number.

You can't get your information out!

Pros

It's really user-friendly, though I do find it a bit odd that when contacts are entered, they default to being unsubscribed. It's not the most convenient.

Cons

You can't export your contacts, which is frustrating. It's the only email marketing/CRM system I come across that doesn't allow users to export their own data.

My favorite way to send payment links

Pros

Sending secure payment links and mass messages is super easy. Checking payments at the end of the day is simple and processing refunds is really easy.

Cons

There's no archive for photos sent by customers. The search function can be really finicky and doesn't always find what I'm looking for.

Amazing tool for customer engagement

Pros

The platform is really userfriendly, easy to navigate, and it helps us manage customer communications easily. The messaging function lets us have realtime, personal conversations.

Cons

The analytics dashboard isn't very detailed and sometimes I don't get alerts when I should.

Great chat and review tool

Pros

It's really easy to use for our employees, both on mobile and desktop. Setting it up on our website was a breeze and it also helps us collect customer reviews.

Cons

I couldn't even connect our Facebook pages to Podium, despite reaching out to support for help.

not good customer software support compared to what was promised

Pros

The data analysis feature is simple and easy to use.

Cons

We've had continuous IT tickets with months of poor service. There was a total lack of communication when the system wasn't working properly and they kept charging us. I even have documents and tickets to back up our issues. Not being able to get Google reviews this year made the whole experience a failure.

good platform for text messaging, but not recommended for VOIP

Pros

I really like the platform for messaging clients. The text templates are customizable, and it's very easy to select the one I need. The interface is simple to navigate.

Cons

Podium's phone service is terrible. It feels like a fairly new system, so there are still a lot of issues to fix. We had several outages and it was a real problem because our clients couldn't reach us. Support wasn't available 24/7, which made it worse. The explanations from support were always about management changes, which delayed everything. We ended up switching to Kenect for messaging and Nextiva for VOIP.

The sad part is that while it's easy to reply to reviews, there's an extra cost involved.

Simple but not very effective

Pros

It's easy to use and set up, and integrates well with my POS system. However, it lacks some design options and customization features.

Cons

It is missing features!!

Pros

Honestly there's not much I dislike about Podium. The processing rates were pretty good.

Cons

You can't export your data and some of the features that are listed on the website and in the support videos aren't actually available. This has been a terrible experience. The product didn't do what it promised. When I tried to cancel, they gave me the run around and took over three months to release my phone number. They also tried to charge me for an extra year of service that I never agreed to. There are better, more user friendly solutions out there. Podium is not one of them.

I did not like it at all!

Pros

I was disappointed with the onboarding process. I wasn't told about the 1-year contract until I saw it myself during the signing process. Their customer service also left a lot to be desired.

Cons

There's a major lack of transparency. They were dishonest during onboarding and tried to keep my business by any means necessary. They made huge mistakes, like porting away my personal number and never took accountability. I wasted countless hours during setup and afterwards, all while being charged for services I didn't use.

Pros

Podium introduced us to the idea of automating our review process, which was a game changer, and it also helped automate conversations on our website.

Cons

Customer service is terrible! there's no way to talk to a real person. The price is also way too high for what it offers.

Very difficult to get any support or help

Pros

It's good for getting customer reviews (when it works) and it offers lots of features.

Cons

It leaves you to figure everything out on your own. Communication is a huge issue. We had a manager leave and they continued sending emails to her address for over a year, despite me contacting support multiple times. A lot of the things we were paying for didn't even work and nobody told us or helped us set them up. I even got a 16-step document from a rep with no assistance. Sometimes it takes a week to hear back from anyone.

Pros

Podium was easy to use and responsive, which made it easier for me to stay personally engaged with customer experience management.

Cons

I found a competing product that screens potential issues with a simple qualifying question, allowing me to address problems before they turn into negative reviews. This tool doesn't offer this flexibility and a negative review was posted before I had a chance to resolve the issue.

So So software, terrible management

Pros

The all-in-one interface is mostly seamless, but the app has only partial functionality when used standalone.

Cons

They tried to trap us in a contract. I canceled, but they continued billing me and pretended there was no cancellation. I had to deal with 5-6 different reps who promised fixes that never came. Then they'd leave the company before the issue was resolved.
