Pros

After trying similar tools that seem to borrow a lot from each other, this one stands out for getting the recording workflow right. The controls are simple, uploads happen automatically and the option to trim videos is there when I need it.

Cons

As a basic screenshot tool though, it is not quite as strong. You can copy content directly from the app but I still miss the simpler feel of older apps like Greenshot and Lightshot. On top of that the free version is fairly limited even if it is still good enough for occasional use.

Pros

For QA work, this has been a convenient way to capture website issues. It's easy to use and makes sharing images with coworkers fast and hassle-free.

Cons

I started with the free version and it felt fairly restrictive in how many screenshots I could keep. If you expect to rely on it a lot, I'd suggest upgrading right away.

Pros

During the pandemic, this has easily become the app I use the most. It has saved me hours when editing screenshots and I also rely on it to record short how-to tutorials for my team whenever I need to explain a task. I can share those in seconds which makes everything even more convenient.

So far there isn't anything I've disliked about it.

A standout feature for me is that the screenshot URL gets copied automatically which saves a step. I also really like that it sends an email when someone views your screenshot.

The interface could definitely use some improvement. It also feels more expensive than similar apps when you compare the features and at times the link does not work, possibly because of conflicts with other browser extensions.

Creating GIFs for my team and clients is a feature I really appreciate. The output is clear and easy to view although there's definitely room to improve the sharing experience.

Sending the content as a GIF or JPEG through email isn't as smooth or convenient as I'd like and at times the process of making the GIFs feels far too manual for both me and my team.

Back in 2012, I started using it and have even subscribed to some of the paid plans over the years. The app is quick to install, takes up very little space in the menu bar and makes uploading incredibly convenient whether I drag and drop files or choose them manually. I also really appreciate that they host the files on their servers because even years later I can still track down old uploads and share them again without any trouble.

As time went on, more features were locked behind paid accounts which basically pushed users toward paying for the app. For us, it's only a small inconvenience since we work at a web development agency and rely on it heavily in our sharing workflow but I can see that being enough to drive some people toward alternatives like Dropbox.

Pros

It's incredibly easy to use. My favorite part is being able to quickly grab a screenshot I've taken and drag it directly into an email template to send to prospects.

Cons

Every now and then, when I capture a screenshot, it doesn't load correctly and ends up cropped in a strange way. Most of the time I just retake it and it works fine so it's only a small hiccup. Aside from that, it works really well.

Pros

What keeps me coming back is how quickly I can take a screenshot and send it to anyone with a short link, with barely any more effort than copying and pasting. It is especially nice that I can also record my screen for a short time and share that as well.

Cons

Feature I do not like is that it is a paid service which feels a bit expensive for what it offers. You can also use keyboard shortcuts to capture content and share it in other ways instead of relying on a link.

Pros

Working with my team and collaborators every day, this app has been fantastic. Its functionality is excellent and every screenshot or GIF I create can be shared almost instantly through a shareable link.

Cons

There's very little for me to complain about with this app. The only thing I'd really welcome is more storage space in the free plan.

Pros

Right out of the gate, it can replace the default screenshot shortcut if you want so it fits smoothly into an existing workflow. The markup and quick editing tools are genuinely useful and fast and features like custom domains for shared links, asset expiration and support for photos, videos and GIFs make it even better.

Cons

I honestly don't have anything negative to say about it. It does exactly what it promises, does it well and I'm happy to have it installed since I use it effortlessly hundreds of times a day.
