“tweak your vault and keep it safe”

Pros

The app's efficiency was clear from the beginning, with plenty of options for saving all kinds of data and passwords. It's secure, opens quickly and can be customized nicely which makes organizing everything simple. Having all account details and credentials stored in one place is really convenient.

Cons

A thing that could be better is the auto-fill since it doesn't always pop up when needed. On the first setup, it also doesn't automatically close after a period of inactivity to better protect your data. Syncing can be a bit inconsistent too and sometimes you have to trigger it manually.

Pros

Using Bitwarden has been really convenient because it's simple to work with and lets me store a large number of passwords. I can also generate different kinds of passwords by choosing whether to include symbols, numbers and how many characters I want. Another big plus is being able to save all my cards, both bank cards and others and honestly the best part is that it's free.

Cons

After using Bitwarden many times every day for more than two years, I genuinely can't point to anything I dislike. Up to now, I haven't come across any drawbacks.

Pros

Having a tool that's completely free is a huge plus. It works on both mobile through the app and on desktop with browser extensions and the Chrome extension is especially handy.

Cons

The UI/UX of the official Chrome extension could use some improvement. It doesn't affect how it works but it can feel a bit confusing when you're first getting started.

Pros

Bitwarden keeps my passwords protected and readily available by syncing smoothly across my laptop, desktop and phone.

Cons

One thing I'd still like to see is the ability to create subfolders for organizing stored passwords, along with visible tags inside the vault.

Pros

This one's been a solid free option with plenty of useful features for both personal and professional use. It lets you generate custom passwords and add extra details like descriptions or email addresses to each saved login which makes everything much more organized.

Cons

Even though the free version includes a lot, it still misses some advanced options like secure file storage which are reserved for the paid plan. Another downside is that if you forget or lose your master password on the free version, there's no recovery option so you'd have to create a brand-new account.

Pros

From a security perspective, this password manager has been very secure in my use, with end-to-end encryption that helps keep sensitive information protected. It also comes with a useful set of features, including password generation and auto-fill, secure note storage and two-factor authentication.

Cons

The free plan already includes a lot but a few advanced options like secure file storage are limited to the paid version. There have also been occasional glitches or minor bugs reported by some users although they usually get fixed pretty quickly by the Bitwarden team.

Pros

Managing our cloud data with a single password has been really convenient. Cloud syncing works well and sharing files through uniquely generated links makes collaboration very practical.

Cons

We're genuinely grateful to the vendor for bringing this excellent solution to our attention.

Pros

What's great is that it's free across all the main devices and it does an excellent job when it comes to storing credentials. It becomes especially useful together with Windows Hello since fingerprint authentication lets me log in almost instantly.

Cons

The 2FA feature feels pretty basic and it isn't compatible with every service, such as Amazon. The interface also feels a bit messy and autocomplete on Android can be unreliable so it doesn't always work when needed.

Pros

Being free is a big plus and it works on both Android and iOS without limiting you to one platform.

Cons

There are still quite a few bugs that need attention and syncing can be slow at times.

Pros

Keeping every password in one encrypted, secure vault is exactly what Bitwarden does well. With sync across devices, I can check or update my data just as easily on my phone as on my PC. Access can be protected with a master password, PIN or biometric login and there's also the option to enable two-factor authentication for even more security. Another feature I appreciate is the password generator which is highly customizable for length, special characters and other settings. It also supports autofilling login credentials across the different browsers I use which makes day-to-day access much more convenient.

Cons

I really didn't run into any major problems while using it. If I had to point out one weakness, it would be the interface, the design feels a bit dated and at times it doesn’t feel well designed.

“host it yourself and stay flexible”

Pros

Bitwarden being free while also letting you self-host it on your own premises is a huge advantage. A lot of password managers don't offer that kind of flexibility since they usually make you choose between keeping everything local or using their cloud service. Bitwarden is the only one I've come across that really lets you run it locally on-premise.

Cons

The look and feel could use a refresh. On top of that, using it can be somewhat wonky and having both a separate browser plugin and a standalone app makes the overall experience a little confusing.

Pros

It covers the core features you need for password management, including organizing passwords into folders and even a built-in password generator. It feels secure and dependable and it includes free features that many competing products only provide in their paid plans.

Cons

Aesthetic wise it is quite basic, sparse and not especially polished so there is definitely room for improvement there. From a functionality standpoint though, it seems complete.

“leak alerts + solid mobile integration”

Pros

Between the mobile app and the Google Chrome extension, everything stays connected really well. Once you pay for the professional license, you also get alerts if any of your passwords have been exposed which is a huge plus. I work as a computer administrator and handling so many passwords used to be a real hassle until I started using Bitwarden.

Cons

At this price, I honestly haven't come across any downsides. It has made my work much more manageable especially since I deal with more than 300 different passwords.
