“First time using a log in platform, use jumpcloud”
Pros
It is quick to use which minimizes the training needed for new hires. This is a huge benefit when dealing with this type of software so I genuinely recommend it for first-time users.
Cons
Sometimes there are glitches but when you report them they usually get fixed quickly, so if this is your first time I suggest going with Jump cloud.

It integrates smoothly with Google Workspace, allows for effective device management and automates various tasks. With ongoing updates and an easy-to-navigate interface it serves as a complete IDP solution for our systems.
Cons
JumpCloud directory Platform is a solid alternative to Active directory but it is missing features like Google groups and ioS management. Recent updates have improved it but automatic updating for Mac apps is still not available.

“JumpCloud Directory Platform Review”
Pros
I value the simplicity and ease of use of the platform. It is intuitive to navigate even for someone like me with limited technical expertise. The ability to manage user access and permissions across multiple devices is a major advantage.
Cons
The pricing was higher than I anticipated especially for the more advanced features. I also faced minor issues with the user interface and sometimes had trouble finding certain settings and options.

“Excellent tool for the Directory and MDM”
Pros
Duo security adds an extra layer of protection to the login process through multi-factor authentication. WebAuthn uses public key cryptography for user verification. TOTP is a two factor authentication method that uses a time-based code to verify users. MDM Automate Device Enrollment integrates with Cloud Directory and Active Directory for remote access making user access management easy. This tool is excellent for managing software within a company as administrators can deploy and manage updates remotely while also gaining insights into device usage.
Cons
There is a potential for inefficiency and errors when pushing commands each time a selection is made. For instance a user might select the wrong machine or mess up selecting a device which can lead to incomplete updates or installations making devices vulnerable to security threats.

“JumpCloud allows you to easily set up directory access for remote users”
Pros
We needed to establish a Radius Server for remote authentication and authorization. JumpCloud enabled us to set this up in just a few minutes.
Cons
Setting up a list of allowed radius clients was cmplicated. You prompted to enter the IPs of radius servers when they actually mean radius clients.

“Great security product”
Pros
The support team is good with regular updates and excellent user management.
Cons
Authenticating is not always simple. The authenticator must be downloaded as a separate app and sometimes it expires within seconds even if you just tried logging in with it. It does not always integrate with competitors like Rippling.

“Great MDM and AD tool for Sysadmins”
Pros
The MDM feature is powerful and allows me to manage devices directly from the admin panel. It integrates well with M365 which speeds up user sign- ons. The best part is that the first ten users are free making it a fantastic tool for companies managing fewer than ten devices.
Cons
The set up for installing the client for MDM is a bit difficult but once installed on one device it is quick to set up on others.

“Support is the real MVP at JumpCloud!”
Pros
JumpCloud has excellent support. When I was using their LDAP as a service I encountered an issue early on where I could not view my tenants. Normally this would be a negative experience but support quickly diagnosed the issue as being on their end and escalated my ticket at 2 AM eastern. Knowing it was out of my hands I went to bed and woke up to an email from my support technician stating the issue should be resolved and to please try again. It worked flawlessly from that point onward and I only stopped using it because the business I was integrating it into decided to close. I will definitely consider using JumpCloud again for Sso in the future.
Cons
I found the JumpCloud interface confusing at times. Accessing a tenant put me into that tenant's data and enabled services which became an issue when trying to activate certain services without a way to do it from the master administrator interface. I would like to see more detailed instructional videos on their Youtube as these tasks seem common. Still given the responsiveness of support I believe I would have learned the interface quickly if the project had not shut down.
