3D Repo Features

The Data Validation feature helps teams check if their 3D models follow certain rules or standards set by the project. Instead of reviewing everything manually, 3D Repo automatically looks through the model and flags anything that doesn’t match the rules. This saves time, improves accuracy, and helps avoid problems later in the project.

The Issue Tracker lets teams find and fix problems in the 3D model. You can tag the exact spot in the model where something is wrong, describe the issue, assign it to someone, and track its progress. Everyone can see updates in real time, which keeps the team aligned and avoids missed tasks.

SafetiBase is a safety-focused feature in 3D Repo that helps teams manage risks. It lets users attach health and safety notes directly to parts of the 3D model. This way, everyone involved can see where the potential hazards are and what actions to take, making the project safer from the design stage.

See How It Works

4D Construction Sequencing shows how a project will be built over time by linking tasks in the schedule to 3D model elements. It creates a step-by-step visual timeline of the construction process. This helps teams understand the sequence of work, spot delays before they happen, and explain plans clearly to others.

See How It Works

The 3D Diff® feature helps you see what has changed between two versions of the same model. It automatically highlights anything added, removed, or changed. This makes it easy to review updates, find mistakes, and keep track of design changes, especially useful when many people are working on the same project.

See How It Works

Clash Detection checks for parts of the model that might interfere with each other, like a pipe running through a wall. 3D Repo scans the model and shows exactly where problems are. This helps teams fix design issues early on, saving time and money during construction by reducing rework.

It has potential

Pros

The issue tracking features within the 4D model are simply the best and the ease of use makes it even better.

Cons

There is nothing too major that I would like to share. But as nothing is perfect I still feel like there is room for improvement in a few areas.

makes collaboration easy

Pros

The tool is really user friendly and simple to work with. Also it is easy to set up and it gives quick access to valuable information. Even the safety vase function is especially useful for managing risks.

Cons

Well the cost is quite high and could be more competitive. However I understand that a lot of effort went into developing it and I am hopeful the price will decrease as more people start using it.
