Pros

Powtoon helped me put together dynamic, visually appealing presentations that felt much more lively. It comes with a good variety of animations, transitions and effects that made my content stand out and kept my audience more engaged.

Cons

Although�this platform�has a fairly good template library, it is not as broad as what some other presentation platforms offer. That can be limiting for us especially since we often need very specific, niche templates that match our themes and messaging.

There is a top range of templates to choose from and the platform is easy to use especially when it comes to the basic features.

On a mid-range older computer, it can feel slow and laggy. The characters also come across as a bit stiff and the content library is somewhat limited.

Powtoon has a really strong template selection especially the seasonal ones. The library is also an excellent starting point whenever I need ideas for a presentation or a signage campaign and it helps get my creative process moving quickly.

The pricing tiers feel a bit expensive. I'd usually subscribe for just one month, create and download everything I need for the year during that time and then cancel the subscription.

From what I have used of this tool, it is like a really strong option for making entertaining videos or highly creative presentations. It comes with plenty of features that let me build content in a much more original way than with the more traditional tools people usually rely on. That makes a big difference when it comes to capturing and holding my audience's attention.

One downside I notice with�this tool�is that you cannot keep editing unless you're connected to WiFi or mobile data. On top of that, it doesn't support collaboration and that can be a real limitation since working with others often helps speed up the creation process.

The animation tools for presentations really stood out. They work well for both education and business and I think they can be a huge support for students with learning disabilities as well as for people who feel shy or anxious about speaking in front of others. The avatar can help me lead my audience through the presentation and the voiceover can be recorded by me directly or uploaded by me without any trouble.

I am still getting better at using�the software but if I had to point out a downside, it would be that there are just so many possibilities that it's possible to feel a bit overwhelmed or lose your way. Also in the free version, the�platform's�logo and ending music are added to the presentation which can be a little annoying.

There is a huge variety of elements I can add, from realistic animated videos and characters to outfits, poses, expressions and different scenes. The music is fantastic and gives everything an extraordinary touch that really communicates well. The videos look super professional and the image and video library is incredibly extensive. Another excellent feature is the template selection which is really impressive.

It does tend to pause when I add too many elements to a single slide.

Using it is very easy because the platform is so user friendly and the video quality matches well with what the software charges me.

I'd really like to see the image library become much larger, maybe even ten times bigger, since that would cut down on the need to upload my own images and would also strengthen�the platform's�brand presence.

What I enjoy most is the wide range of working options and file processing features it offers me. It even includes AI assistance that helps optimize my work and makes the whole process more efficient.

Back in 2014 I started using Powtoon and it has improved a lot over time in my experience. They clearly pay attention to user feedback like mine and keep updating the product based on what people like me actually want from the software. Their customer support is also the best, so whenever something comes up, it gets resolved pretty quickly. I also appreciate being able to organize my videos into folders which is really helpful when I am managing a lot of content. Since I am on the teacher plan, the pricing is very affordable. On top of that, it's useful to create PowerPoint-style presentations and slide shows too.

Cons

The only downside is that There is branding in the corner of the video and at the end of the film but that comes with the cheaper plan I am using. The business plans remove that branding.

Pros

Putting together animated ads with Powtoon was very easy. Over the course of two weeks, I made around 10 to 12 videos, each about 60 seconds long, for video advertising. The platform was quick to pick up and the auto-save feature gave me peace of mind because I never had to worry about losing my work. I also appreciated being able to export my videos in whatever format I needed. Most of the time, the built-in templates covered everything, so I rarely had to begin from scratch. Overall it was a really positive experience and I'd absolutely use it again anytime I need to create a short animated video fast.

One thing that tripped us up was the pricing structure. We originally subscribed to the base plan because the description made it seem like it included more functionality than it actually did. Once we started using�the platform, it became clear pretty quickly that we would need to move from the Lite plan to the Professional plan to really take full advantage of the system and the templates. We had to upgrade to remove watermarks and access important features, so we switched to Pro. The price increase itself wasn't unreasonable but it did create a bit of a delay since we had to go back and get the higher cost approved internally.

Getting around the software is very easy. Adding content, making changes and downloading videos in PowToon is all really simple.

I wish video clip editing in�this platform�were better. Having to use the whole video clip inside�the platform�feels limiting which is a downside for me.

The animated illustrated characters are one of my favorite parts of Powtoon. They make the whole video creation process more enjoyable and the finished videos feel a lot more engaging to watch than something that only uses text on the screen.

Editing can get a bit tedious at times. There are plenty of features available which is definitely a plus but it can also make it harder to quickly find the exact place in the video you want to adjust.

Powtoon is a really good online video editor with a user friendly interface and eye-catching illustrations. I'd especially recommend it for educational content but it also works very well for marketing, video projects and personal presentations.

The free trial doesn't last long and once it ends, you have to pay to keep using it.
