“Just fine as support is nowhere to be found
Pros
When it is running well this tool saves me a lot of editing time. What used to take hours to do by hand now gets done in just minutes.
Cons
Dealing with support has been a frustrating experience. Anytime I hit a problem the replies feel like they are just blaming the user like it's always our fault which can feel pretty dismissive especially when it clearly is not a user error.

“Love using this for podcast work
Pros
It is pretty simple to operate and delivers high-quality recordings. Overall it works perfectly whether we are hosting or jumping in as a guest.
Cons
No complaints to mention from my side as it works just the way it is supposed to without any issues.

“Mainly useful for large-scale users
Pros
Both the video and audio turn out really clear which makes all our recording feel more professional.
Cons
Their pricing setup makes it hard to scale. Also the basic plans feel too limited to me mainly for anyone beyond small creators while the business plans are clearly built for large teams as there is no solid middle option for growing users.

“Not recommended
Pros
It is fairly user-friendly and I love that you can manage multiple studio spaces which makes organizing recordings so much easier.
Cons
The video during calls often comes out rough and sometimes the audio does not even match the visuals. Also the live function looks low quality to me and getting help from support takes ages because they seem pretty overloaded.

“Handy for making quick clips
Pros
The text based editing feature is awesome as it is pretty easy to use, automatically removes silences and lets us upload videos without any limits. Plus the direct YouTube integration is a really nice bonus!
Cons
Well the silence removal tool can be a bit off and usually needs some manual adjusting. Also not being able to copy and paste clips or bits of text is something I did not like.

“way more user-friendly than zoom
Pros
Compared to Zoom the layout is way simpler and smoother to use. And from both a host and guest perspective the sound and video are always on point. Also the new transcription tool makes it easy for us to turn recordings into written content for accessibility or reuse.
Cons
There is no system in place to make sure podcast guests stay put until their recordings are fully uploaded. I try to warn them ahead of time and remind them but I feel like it'd be better if the platform had some sort of feature to prevent them from bouncing too soon. I know I can resend the upload link but a little extra barrier to leaving early would really help.

“No need to worry about internet problems
Pros
After working with both Zoom and Riverside for remote podcasting I can easily say Riverside wins hands down. It is very reliable as clients and guests join without problems and I get top-notch video and sound. Plus being able to manage everything as the producer really helps things stay on track.
Cons
Lately I have noticed fewer features being offered even though the price has not changed. A couple of times I even lost recordings and support managed to recover them once or twice but not every time. Thankfully it has not happened again recently.

“Ideal if you want pro-level podcast quality
Pros
Guests can hop in with no confusion at all and the video/audio quality is always the best. Also I love that it automatically backs things up and gives you transcripts too.
Cons
It only runs on Google Chrome which can be limiting. Also sometimes when I download the files, the video and audio do not line up right which is kind of annoying to fix.

“Pretty easy to set up and use
Pros
The first time I tried Riverside was as a podcast guest and I was immediately impressed with how smooth it all was. When I started my own show I picked it for that same ease plus the audio quality really stood out to me.
Cons
Every now and then it takes a couple of tries to get things working properly with a guest. That might be on their end tech-wise but it still slows things down for us at the start.
