Great for editing audio tracks

Pros

The software is really easy to navigate and for being web based and free, it is surprisingly powerful. My favorite feature is how it lets you work with any pre-recorded track regardless of tempo. Plus blending loops into your project themes is simple thanks to its clean and user-friendly layout.

Cons

After some updates the interface gets a noticeable change which can be a bit difficult to use mainly if you are used to the old version. So yes it takes me a little time to adjust but once you are familiar with the updates, it is easier to manage.

Really useful in classroom settings

Pros

What is awesome is how much you can do without spending a dime. There is a huge collection of high quality sounds my students can use for their creative projects. And since I teach in a school district where budgets are tight we cannot buy fancy music programs for everyone but this free version gives us all the tools we need.

Cons

One challenge is how often the design and layout change which makes it hard to keep instructions consistent. Buttons randomly appear or disappear in places like the account setup so the guides I wrote last semester are already outdated. Also since the program does not auto-save, if it crashes or glitches which happens from time to time as students can lose all their progress. We still use it and enjoy it but we always remind students to save their work frequently.

Needs a lot of improvements

Pros

It has so many great tools with which I can experiment and use such as Sound Shuttle, Swiss Army Synth, Miracle Drum Looper and Dyad.

Cons

It is frustrating that there is no option to create an account and purchase extra sound packs or to upload our own samples directly into the software for editing as it really limits flexibility for users who want more control.
