Pros

The best thing about it is that it is free. And you cannot go wrong with it. That said all the features it has are pretty powerful and the versatility is off the charts.

Cons

There is no VST support but that is not a huge deal. And if you are using high-end recording software, you probably do not need this app. However it is perfect for quick edits or conversions when you don't want to open up your larger multitrack software.

“Budget-friendly audio editor

Pros

I really like the range of features WavePad offers and I am so happy that there is a free version available.

Cons

The user interface feels a bit outdated to me and I feel like WavePad could definitely benefit from having a built-in mastering suite.

“Excellent editor for a low cost

Pros

One thing I love the most is how easy it is to use and the interface is pretty userfriendly too. As it did not take me long to learn how to use it and get great results.

So far WavePad meets my basic audio editing needs perfectly.

WavePad is both easy and effective to use. Plus recording tracks feature is simply top notch and the overall performance of it is quite impressive to me.

Sometimes it crashes mid-session so I feel like it could use some improvements.

“Love it a lot

Pros

One of the things I love most is how simple the editing process is. I can easily cut, copy and paste audio sections which is way too important for creating great content. Plus the real time preview feature is fantastic for making quick adjustments and I also like the option to create a custom menu for quicker access to my most used tools.

Cons

I cannot really find anything to dislike. It does exactly what it's supposed to do.

“Works for me

Pros

For recording and mixing this is one of the best software options available. Its free version has everything I needed to start a new project. I absolutely love it.

Cons

WavePad has fewer resources compared to other audio editing software but that's not an issue mainly for us. Also it is so simple that even people with no experience can use it in just a few minutes.

“Superior to GarageBand for basic audio work

It is very easy to select a section of audio, trim the start and end, save it as a new file and export it as an MP3. Though I am still learning Garage Band on my iPad but this is way simpler.

Cons

Well the noise reduction is not great even in the paid version.

Pros

For me the Windows version is the best as it has all the features and settings in one panel. The level tab is really useful because you can amplify, equalize and normalize the levels. Plus it comes with plenty of plug-in tools and effects including an excellent noise reduction tool. Overall it is a simple yet complete software.

Cons

Multitrack recording needs an extension and I feel like the Android version requires updates to fix app bugs.

Pros

Not only the software is easy to use but it also has many other amazing features which has proven very helpful for us.

Cons

Nothing mediocre about it as it is very useful and a great help for us.

“A complete let down

Pros

I liked being able to use an AutoTune plugin to create special effects.

Cons

Simply put it does not offer the features I needed and the customer service from NVH is nonexistent.
