WavePad Features
VST Plugin Support
WavePad supports VST plugin, letting users load third-party effects and instruments alongside the built-in toolset. Studios that already own a plugin library might not have to rebuild their sound from scratch; they can plug in the same tools they've used elsewhere.
Noise Reduction
WavePad’s noise removal wizard can automatically reduce common recording problems such as echo, reverb, hum, clicks, and pops. This can help turn a rough or damaged recording into something usable without having to start the recording process all over again.
Parametric And Graphic Equalizer
WavePad comes with both parametric and graphic equalizers, giving users control over individual frequency ranges in an audio file. This makes it easier to fine-tune the overall sounds such as reducing muddiness, bringing out more clarity, or correcting an uneven frequency balance without altering other parts of the recording.
Vocal Isolation And Removal
WavePad can isolate or remove vocals from a song, separating the voice track from instrumentals in an existing audio file. This is useful for creating instrumental versions of a track, pulling an acoustic sample for remixing, or extracting a vocal line to clean up and reuse separately.
Pros And Cons of WavePad
Pros
Simple waveform view makes cutting and splicing easy
User-friendly interface makes basic editing quick and straightforward
Easily edit video audio and export MP3 files
Cons
Editing differs from VideoPad, causing occasional cutting mistakes
VST support may need improvement

“Free Free Free”
Pros
The best thing about it is that it is free. And you cannot go wrong with it. That said all the features it has are pretty powerful and the versatility is off the charts.
Cons
There is no VST support but that is not a huge deal. And if you are using high-end recording software, you probably do not need this app. However it is perfect for quick edits or conversions when you don't want to open up your larger multitrack software.

“Budget-friendly audio editor”
Pros
I really like the range of features WavePad offers and I am so happy that there is a free version available.
Cons
The user interface feels a bit outdated to me and I feel like WavePad could definitely benefit from having a built-in mastering suite.
