Worst experience as they left me behind at the airport in the dead of night

At this stage I cannot say anything positive.

Cons

I had a truly frustrating and disappointing experience with it. I scheduled a pick up from the airport at 1am as my flight was landing at midnight. I was worried about being stranded and was willing to pay extra for peace of mind. Over the next few days I kept checking the app for ride details but all it showed was that a driver would arrive at 23:50 and wait until 1:05am. When my flight arrived a little early I felt relieved that I would not be late for my ride. But when I checked the app just after midnight, there were no new updates. I went to the car park and when I checked again, the ride had disappeared. And that too with no message, no explanation just gone. My fear of being stranded in the cold at 1am started to feel real. I kept checking the app but there was nothing. I decided to wait until 1am just in case someone showed up since I was told I'd be fined if I was late or did not show up. After 30 minutes with no one in sight, I finally ordered an Uber which arrived at 1:05am. Halfway through the ride, I received an email from Bolt saying that on top of my �60 booking fee for a ride that never happened, I was charged a cancellation fee for not showing up. I was furious. But I had proof such as time stamped screenshots of the scheduled ride and when it disappeared, plus my Uber receipt showing I was picked up at the same time the ride was supposed to start. I thought emailing them everything would solve it. How wrong was I as I ended up in a long email chain with several of its staff members, all of whom refused to issue a refund and were rude and patronizing. They insisted the driver had to be compensated because he waited for me and called and messaged me. I pointed out that there were no messages or calls and there was no record of the ride. I asked why I would pay for an Uber instead of using the prepaid Bolt ride and showed them proof that I was at the location while the driver was supposedly waiting for me. They still insisted that the driver needed to be compensated and told me I should keep an eye on the app for updates next time. I ended up paying �80 for a ride that never happened and spent hours writing emails with no resolution. Worst of all I never received an apology for the distress I went through that night. I understand the driver should be compensated but not at my expense. He never contacted me and I wish he had. I feel distressed, exhausted and deflated after being treated so unprofessionally by them. Needless to say I am deleting the app. And if you are looking for a reliable and professional taxi service I suggest you do the same.

Transparent in every manner

Pros

My son left his phone on the back seat and the Bolt driver brought it all the way back to Sandton from Midrand. What a kind and honest man! Thank you for being so dedicated and polite. You are truly one in a million and I hope many others hear this story. Well done and thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Perfect for us

Pros

Simplify and secure online business

Pros

I love everything about this app as it is packed with amazing features. When I decided to use it, I did some research and after finding everything I needed, I did not feel the need to check out any other app. It has all the quality features anyone would want. I do not have to type long login details which makes it simple to use and I feel secure about my customers orders because everything is set up by the app.

Cons

While the app is interesting and comfortable to use I would say it is not ideal for beginners especially those who are not familiar with the community using it.

The BEST!

Pros

Bolt is simple THE BEST for TYLER'S. From the quick and easy integration to their ongoing development efforts to ensure fast, secure and simple checkout, it has been great. We used to waste lots of time scanning for fraud orders with our old checkout system but now we can focus on our real customer base. Any issues we have had were resolved quickly by Bolt's support team and they have come through for us multiple times. The team is responsive and professional which is very important for our lean team to meet customer expectations and maintain long term growth.

Cons

I think it really depends on perspective. Every time I have had an idea to change something or add a feature, they has always come through with a thoughtful solution that prioritizes the end consumer. Our account manager has been superb at helping us understand why some ideas while appealing at first, could actually hurt customer experience or lead to cart abandonment. The solution we were using before barely responded to our requests let alone provided that level of insight.

Great fraud management processor

Pros

Simply perfect

Pros

Bolt has made a huge improvement over our old checkout system. The backend admin features are really easy to use and they have made our finance team's job more quite and accurate.

Cons

Any improvements I'd like to see are either minimal or already in their product pipeline. Overall I really like how they are always improving the product.

I strongly recommend it

Pros

The Bolt checkout process is incredibly smooth, fast and intuitive for customers. It is the best checkout experience I have ever come across. You can try it out at any Bolt merchant without completing the purchase. They are always testing new ways to improve it, tweaking buttons or fields to see if it helps conversion. Their fraud detection tool really works as they catch over 95% of fraud, so there is very little left to reimburse. There is even a fraud meter that helps us assess fraud risk for specific orders and merchants can veto orders, giving them flexibility and control. Our Customer Success Manager has been with us from the start providing exceptional support, knowledge and key metrics to help manage our performance. She is always responsive, conscientious and a pleasure to work with.

Cons

You could probably find another merchant processor at a cheaper rate but it has proven worth it for us. Our conversion rates have increased so it pays for itself. We are also saving a lot of time not having to manually check every order for fraud. Since our average sale is worth hundreds of dollars we used to spend a lot of time verifying and even calling customers. With it we no longer have those uneasy feelings about shipping uncertain orders.

Checkout made easy and and quick

Pros

With it the checkout experience is much more streamlined and efficient than the standard Magento 2 checkout. The Magento checkout took 30 to 40 seconds to load which hurt our conversion rate. However Bolt checkout now loads in just one second which is a huge improvement. Since switching to it we have seen an increase in conversion rates. The integration process especially with Bolt's Magento 2 extension was smooth and their support team has been quick to respond to any questions we have had.

Cons

There is not much to dislike. When we first launched, there were a couple of small features we wished it had like the ability to add multiple gift cards and promo codes. But a couple of months in they updated the checkout to include those features.

Number one in its field

Pros

Bolt's checkout process is the best among the rest. It provides an Amazon-like experience for customers, something we cannot find anywhere else. Honestly it is hard to think of anything bad to say about it and the service they offer.

Cons

The biggest downside I see right now is that it does not have as much integration with other software like email services. But as they continue to grow I imagine this will change.

Streamlined checkout to improve sales and stop fraud

Pros

The checkout process is fast and easy for our customers, leading to a higher conversion rate and increased sales while also eliminating fraudulent chargebacks. Plus it really solved all our checkout issues. Their staff and support are always positive and helpful and it is refreshing to work with a company that truly values educating their customers and offering support when needed.

Cons

When orders are marked as fraud and permanently rejected, the customer does not get notified until the order has been canceled. Fortunately I come to know that this will soon be addressed with a new feature that allows for additional communication with the customer, explaining that the order is on hold until they can provide more information for verification.

Amazing customer support

Pros

As someone who uses this product to improve the customer purchasing experience I love how simple it is to start and complete a purchase. This software provides a streamlined checkout with fewer clicks and less typing compared to other platforms. They handle reviewing orders for accuracy, fraud and security, so my company is not burdened with tough decisions. If Bolt approves a fraudulent order, they cover any chargeback fees from the bank. Even better if you spot a fraudulent order that they approved they will credit you back money on your next bank transfer as a thank you for catching it. Customer service and our account managers have been very helpful too. We have not had many issues but when we do, they are quick to resolve them. Overall we had a great experience for the past six months and has greatly improved our checkout success rate.

Cons

There is not much to dislike. One thing I feel like could be improved is the daily settlement reports. I am responsible for posting deposits daily in our accounting system so I need to make sure they match the amounts Bolt is transferring to our account. However in the main summary it only shows the net amount they are transferring which is the total charged minus their fees. To get the fee breakdown, I need to download a detailed report and manually sort it which can be a bit tricky. I hope they will consider improving this process since they are always open to customer feedback.

Must-have tool for e-commerce businesses

Pros

The custom cart and fraud detection are some of the best features of it out there. Plus their latest updates have made our checkout process even more easier.

Cons

Perfect all-in-one checkout tool

Pros

It has so many good things. Like the customer experience is quick and efficient with almost all options included in the modal. Most testing has already been done for us. Their support team is great for testing options within the modal and I rarely encounter functionality issues that need support. Plus it is involved in the chargeback process, handling the back and forth through their portal.

Cons

The fees per order were higher compared to some other options I look into.

Absolutely love it!

Pros

Bolt's fraud protection is very very efficient. It has saved our customer service team lots of time and money. Not only have we reduced manual work but we have also gone from 2 to 3 chargebacks a month to just 1 in the past six months.

Cons

Boosted our sales

Pros

Easy checkout that enhances conversion rates

Pros

What we love about it is that it offers a complete package from competitive rates to a checkout widget for your e-commerce store and built in fraud protection. Their rate agreement is also simple and easy to understand, so we know from the beginning exactly what we are being charged.

Cons

The only thing I like to mention is the speed at which new features are implemented.

Offers a reliable service

Pros

Bolt is amazing for the Netsuite community. Once we complete a checkout with Bolt, our information is stored and used for checkouts on any other website that uses Bolt. No more need for billing addresses at checkout.

Cons

From a price point of view I would say it is a little costly, so it may not be for everyone.

Our best business choice so far

Pros

Their team is quite responsive and always helpful. The best thing is that they are open to new ideas and customizations. Plus their fraud detection essentially eliminated our fraud problems simplifying our checkout process and helping us increase revenue.

Cons

Occasionally we run into some glitches or issues but the team is always quick to respond and help us fix them.
