Missing key features but strong operations

Pros

The team here is very helpful and always treats us with respect when you reach out. Support responds quickly and actually knows what they are talking about. Their cloud setup feels secure and the documentation is thorough. The marketplace features work really well and there is solid functionality across the board.

Cons

Well the lack of basic functionality right out of the gate is really disappointing compared to what other platforms offer as standard. Simple things like getting tax calculations and refunds correct by line item should be fundamental as it is not rocket science. I don't mind having to connect to a financial app for enhanced features but when the tax and refund calculations are still wrong even after that integration? That is just not acceptable for any business trying to operate professionally.

Had the best experience

Pros

I really like how user friendly the platform is. Response times are pretty fast and efficient. Communication has been top notch throughout our experience. Every conversation is documented with great detail and they consistently follow up on timelines as promised.

Cons

The only downside is that we are sometimes limited by what features can be added as we have to wait for approval from the development team. That said they are really good about listening to our feedback and working with us to implement what we need.

Excellent platform and support

Pros

Nautical platform has played a huge role in helping us transition to a far better unit economic model. After evaluating nearly every marketplace solution available and seeing even well funded companies struggle with their marketplace projects, I am so glad with our decision almost a year later. The technology is pretty adaptable and scalable, meeting most of our needs as a headless solution. But what truly sets them apart is their team as they are real partners not just another vendor. Whenever challenges arise, we face them together working as one team without any hassle or blame. I cannot recommend them enough.

Cons

While I get that Nautical is a SaaS company and cannot always prioritize every request we make, it can be frustrating when certain features we need are not addressed quickly. Going into this partnership we knew there would be limitations but sometimes the wait times for improvements feel longer than expected. That said these are relatively small issues as long as the team stays responsive and works with us to find workarounds when needed.
