What stands out for me is how flexible the system is along with how frequently it improves. I manage multiple e-commerce brands and it handles different types of data without making things complicated. I also like that updates bring meaningful improvements instead of just small changes.

The system is powerful but you don't really unlock everything on day one. There's a learning curve and it takes time to discover features you didn't even know were there. Not a dealbreaker but onboarding needs proper planning.

I like that the interface feels similar to a spreadsheet which makes it easy for me to work with product data. I also appreciate how helpful the support team has been and overall, it was easy for me to learn and integrate into my workflow.

There aren't enough controls for my liking. I'd prefer having more mandatory field checks during uploads.

Having worked with different PIM and DAM tools, I really appreciate how this platform looks and how easy it is for me to set up and configure based on my needs.

Some features are still on the roadmap that I've seen in other tools but I do appreciate that the It team actively listens to feedback and keeps adding improvements based on what customers request.

What stands out to me is how simple it is to move around the system and that makes it much easier for me and my team to work together and manage our data more effectively.

Cons

Image uploads are the biggest point for me since we deal with a large number of files that all need consistent naming. It gave us a workaround for renaming which helps but I still hope for a more automated solution in the future. Overall, I don't really have major complaints about It.

It has made a big difference in my workflow because of how flexible and fast it is. I find it very easy to manage product data and the cost is also a big advantage for me compared to other options. I like that I can link files instead of uploading them again and again which saves me a lot of time. Each team being able to define their own data completion rules is also very helpful, since it keeps things consistent while letting everyone focus on their own tasks. Most importantly, I now have one reliable place for all product information which has really improved how I work.

Cons

A direct integration with Microsoft Business Central would be really useful for us because it would make syncing data between our PIM and ERP much smoother. Also, while the flexibility is great, it can get a bit complicated, so having someone internally who understands the structure is pretty much necessary to keep everything consistent and manageable.

Using it for both internal work and for customers has been smooth for me and I also like that I can easily update information and control who gets access to edit things.

Cons

At the moment, I'm quite happy with how everything functions. In the beginning, a bit of guidance is needed and you do have to be careful that no one changes settings they shouldn't while still learning the system.

For me, it works as a professional source of information where everything is clear and easy to find and I can also set it up the way I want without much difficulty.

Right now, I still need to return to the homepage every time I want to check another SKU which slows things down a bit. I was told this might be improved soon and it's good that feedback is actually taken seriously and worked on.

Setting up a Magento channel requires an extra module from Wyomind and while it takes some effort to configure attribute mapping, there are helpful guides and videos available.

“Time to make the switch to Plytix

Pros

We used to be on Salsify but when our leadership decided it was too expensive, I was worried we'd lose everything we needed in a PIM/DAM. Then we found Plytix and it not only has the same features as Salsify but offers even more for about 25% of the price. I can't recommend it enough and I've already told a few people about it.

Cons

The Shopify publishing can be a little tricky at least a bit more so than when I was using Salsify for publishing to Shopify. It takes a little getting used to.

The service from implementation to account management has been great. It's a solid data management solution with plenty of flexibility. They add new features regularly and there's a ton of useful info available online.

Cons

I'd personally like to see the brand portals become more customizable especially when it comes to branding. It would be nice to have more options there.

It's really helped us organize our product data which means we can get new products to market faster and with way more detailed info. There's a lot of support available too either directly from the Plytix team or through video tutorials online.

Cons

If you're setting up a Magento channel, you'll need to buy a module from Wyomind. It does require some setup like mapping attributes but thankfully there are plenty of helpful videos and online guides from Plytix.

It has made my work faster and I can export whatever I need very quickly. I also like how brand portals give access to teams in different locations, making everything more practical for me.

The filter and search experience is a bit frustrating because going back resets everything, so I have to redo searches again. It seems like the team is already working on it, so I'm hoping it gets fixed soon.

Handling frequent updates or changes to products is something I can now do very easily and overall I find it to be a very reliable tool with great support whenever I need it.

I mainly use It for product descriptions and it works really well for that. The only small thing I'd personally like is more font options.

I haven't really learned how to use the It Asset Manager properly yet, even though we already use it. I feel like there's a lot more we could be doing with it if I had a better understanding.

Editing products in bulk has saved me a huge amount of time. I can quickly update listings across platforms like Amazon and Shopify without spending hours. Uploading images is also much faster now and I no longer need separate tools to manage files. Creating export templates for different channels has also made my workflow much more efficient.

Outbound channel limits were a bit restrictive for us but they did offer us a good deal to add more when we signed up which helped.

For my needs, the filtering options are very detailed which helps me manage and update specific products in bulk. I've noticed a big improvement in how quickly I can handle product data and overall I feel very satisfied using it.

Cons

Asset handling still isn't fully aligned with what we need. Uploading and assigning assets to data would be much better if we could do bulk or multi-edit actions instead of handling everything one by one.

Everything about the system works really well for me, from account support to managing catalogs and assets. I can create catalogs quickly, manage product data easily and keep everything organized across different sales channels which has saved me a lot of time.

Cons

One annoying thing is the filters in the brand portal resetting every time I open a product or go back to the previous page. It slows things down but I've been told a fix is coming with upcoming updates, so I'm hoping that gets resolved soon.

Before using this, keeping product data updated across multiple websites was difficult for me but now everything is stored in one place and automatically feeds into other systems which has made things much easier.

The API could be easier to work with. I've struggled especially when trying to export image URLs together with bulk product data.
