“smooth setup”
Pros
Was surprisingly easy to get a store up and running even without being very technical. I used it for a small side project and the setup took less time than I expected. The themes look polished and professional and making basic edits is pretty simple. Payments work well too so customers can check out without getting confused or stuck. The app store is another plus since it lets me add extra features without touching code. Also the dashboard is laid out clearly which makes it simple to keep an eye on orders, traffic and sales.
Cons
Cost of apps adds up quickly especially when some features feel like they should already be included instead of sitting behind extra paid add ons. Theme customization is fine for basic changes but once you want to go further, it can become tricky unless you know Liquid or CSS. Reporting does the job at a basic level though it feels limited unless you move up to a more expensive plan. I've also noticed the store can slow down a bit when too many apps are installed. Customer support has been helpful when I've needed it but during busy times the wait can be longer than I'd like. None of these are dealbreakers but together they can make daily management less convenient.

“startup friendly cost”
Pros
Starting off with the platform is especially appealing for new users because the first three months are offered at just one dollar per month. That makes it a top choice for startups trying to keep costs low. The interface is also simple, clear and very beginner friendly.
Cons
A seback is that its payments side still is not available in countries like India which makes receiving payments more difficult. There are other third party providers such as PayPal, Razorpay and others that integrate quite well but I still hope their option becomes available in India too.

“positive experience”
Pros
Running an ecommerce business on this has been a really positive experience. The storefront looks polished on the front end and the pricing is another big advantage. Updating stock levels and making changes to products is very easy and the built in AI bot along with the other tools makes putting the site together much simpler.
Cons
Some plans feel quite restrictive and can limit what the site can do. The SEO limitations also make it tougher to bring additional traffic to the ecommerce store.

“user friendly”
Pros
Setting up and running an online store with it feels very easy and it works well even if you don't have any technical background.
Cons
The downside is that it can become quite costly over time because of the monthly subscription, transaction charges and extra paid apps needed to access certain features.

“reliable platform”
Pros
Building a website feels very easy and the drag and drop editor makes the whole setup process accessible even without any coding knowledge. Another big plus is the 24/7 chat and phone support which is usually fast and helpful whenever technical issues come up. The platform itself is very dependable and the huge app marketplace makes it possible to add just about any feature you might need as your business grows.
Cons
Even though Shopify offers a lot, the overall cost can become tricky to justify. The monthly expense rises pretty fast once you begin adding paid apps and premium themes. On top of that, the payment setup feels somewhat limiting because if you choose not to use Shopify Payments, you have to pay extra transaction fees and that can take a noticeable bite out of a small business's margins.

“good interface but too many fees”
Pros
The user interface was really easy to use and I liked having marketplace selling options all in one place whether that meant selling through social media, third party apps or even in person with point of sale. The platform and its related apps also performed at a high level which made the overall experience better.
Cons
At the same time the part I didn't like was the pricing structure, extra fees and the limitations when trying to use it with other apps. It also has a somewhat game-like feel to it where it can come across more like a reward system than a true ecosystem.

“I like the templates”
Pros
Getting started with it is pretty simple even without being very tech savvy. The whole website setup process feels easy so it doesn't take long to launch a store. There's also a wide selection of templates and most of them already look polished without needing much customization. Another big plus is the range of payment options which makes checkout convenient for customers and can really help with conversions. Whenever I needed assistance, I was also able to reach support through chat without much trouble.
Cons
Biggest drawback is definitely the pricing. Once you add the monthly subscription, transaction fees and the cost of paid apps, the total can climb pretty quickly especially for someone just starting out.

“helpful support”
Pros
Running multiple websites has been a really positive experience. I love being able to personalize pretty much everything right from home and the range of payment options for customers, from Apple Pay to Klarna, definitely helps bring in more sales. Their support team has also been very helpful whenever I've had questions whether through live chat, phone support or anything related to payments.
Cons
Honestly there's not much I dislike about it. The only small issue I can think of is that setting up a website for the first time can feel a bit confusing at the beginning but it didn't take me long to figure things out.

“handles a lot for you”
Pros
A lot of the heavy lifting is handled for you with this tool including hosting, the platform itself, payments and wallet support. It also comes with a huge range of apps which makes it possible to expand the store's functions in many different ways.
Cons
Tradeoff is that you have to operate within its rules and adding custom functions can be very hard. That limitation is even stricter in checkout, where bespoke changes are basically not possible. A misconfigured product can also be exploited by bad actors using the platforms specific tools which can lead to lost money if those orders are not caught in time. Other than that if you list through the Shop app, it can take over the checkout experience in order to capture your customers.

“our new partner”
Pros
We recently rolled out this option for our D2C sales and connected it with NetSuite plus six 3PLs. It's very easy to use!!
Cons
A limitation we ran into when starting the B2B build is that there's no parent-child relationship functions. Having that capability would be a game changer.

“no trouble for us”
Pros
Building a website has been great! Even our non technical teaching staff can set up storefronts for online language courses without trouble and they're able to collect tuition payments through a range of payment options with very little effort.
Cons
The setback is that the basic subscription along with the entry level premium apps, doesn't offer strong value for a small tutoring centre. On top of that relying on their outsourced call and chat support can be frustratingly slow whenever something critical goes wrong with the payment gateway.

“great payment options”
Pros
Working with this solution was a really positive experience for us! It was simple to use even without any coding background which made the whole process much less intimidating. The wide range of payment options was especially useful and the website-building tools were excellent too.
Cons
At this point I really don't have any complaints. Even though my time using it was relatively short, I used it quite a bit and every feature I needed performed well. Whenever I ran into trouble, there was plenty of helpful information on the website to guide me through it.

“very modern”
Pros
Using it feels very easy and it lets you handle products, payments and shipping in a really accessible way. The templates look modern and come already optimized which helps a lot.
Cons
Costs can go up when you rely on a lot of external apps and some advanced features require additional plugins.

“a vital place for online sales”
Pros
Running a small business on the platform feels hard to beat when it comes to usability. It's a platform both store owners and customers already know well which makes the whole process more comfortable on both sides. Purchasing is easy, payment processing works well and the support available for buyers and sellers makes it an essential place to operate.
Cons
One challenge is the fee structure which can make pricing harder to manage in more competitive markets. Because of that profit margins can end up getting squeezed.

“Noticeable value”
Pros
There's definitely good value here. Adding products is easy and it's simple to list different options for each item. Getting the store set up to accept payments and take orders is also pretty quick and without any trouble.
Cons
Customization was harder than I expected. Setting up categories took some effort and the delay in receiving payments was frustrating as well.

“It's a powerhouse!”
Pros
Takes very little effort to get a store live on it! It already includes all the core features you need and the paid app marketplace lets you add just about any extra functions you can think of. Having hosting, security, compliance and the rest of the ecommerce essentials bundled into one platform makes managing everything much more convenient.
Cons
The monthly cost can climb pretty fast once you start adding apps and premium themes. Transaction fees are also on the expensive side although the added convenience can make those costs feel worth it.

“nice themes, extra costs”
Pros
It has been a solid platform for me overall. It's easy to use and the included themes look better and more polished than a lot of other options.
Cons
What really bothers me is that live phone support isn't available unless you pay for a higher plan. I also don't like being charged extra for things tied to other providers like ticketing, surveys and mass email features.

Pros
Making changes and updates to our website has been really easy. It was also very easy to learn my way around the platform and figure out how to manage and update the site without much trouble.

“well designed storefront management”
Pros
The overall user experience is really strong and the platform feels carefully designed. It makes setting up an eCommerce site easy and more importantly, managing it day to day is just as simple.
Cons
One thing that holds it back is how little control you get over checkout and customer accounts. I understand that the plus version offers more flexibility but the jump in pricing is pretty extreme.
