very handy product

Pros

The website we built turned out really nice and it's finally in a place where we feel good about it. It did take some time to get there, though.

Cons

Getting started felt pretty overwhelming. Since I don't have a background in website development, I got frustrated early on and it took me a while to finish everything. In the end, I was able to get it done.

A complete setup for clients

Pros

Handling client projects is much better when everything lives in one place, instead of creating extra complications where the client has to sign up for or manage multiple services.

Cons

By the end, the pricing feels quite high compared with other options and I also noticed some loading speed issues on heavier websites.

Ideal site builder for growth

Pros

As a creative or small business owner Squarespace really fits the need when you want a professional looking website that can be optimized for SEO and also handle online payments. The templates and built-in tools make page creation and organization easy and once everything is in place, it's simple to keep adding more content over time. Overall, it's a platform that works well if you're planning to use your site for the long haul.

Cons

The price is definitely on the higher side but it feels justified if you know you'll need a website or online store for a long period of time.

Decent platform for digital sales

Pros

One thing that really worked in our favor was how flexible the product is. The subscription service also turned out to be quite good and the digital product side was very easy for my staff to use.

Cons

the subscription fee caught us a bit off guard at first but in the end it was still worth the time and money we invested in it.

stylish design and helpful support

Pros

The part I enjoyed most about Squarespace was the design, along with how supportive the team was throughout the process.

Cons

The only thing that really caught me off guard was the pricing once the free trial ended and how limited the access became after that.

Great value for money

Pros

Squarespace is very easy to use. There's a wide range of templates to pick from which makes it easier to match your brand and specific needs and I also appreciate that adding custom elements is fairly simple. Connecting a domain to the site is pretty painless too. Overall, it offers strong value for the cost and gives organizations of any size a good way to build visibility online.

Cons

A weak spot is the payment setup. While collecting payments through their own processor is simple enough, it would be much more helpful for nonprofits if other payment processors could be integrated. Another downside is the customer support which can feel confusing. With so many companies moving toward AI, I'd still prefer the option to speak with a real person instead of being sent through endless FAQ pages.

Clean templates for creatives

Pros

The templates have a clean, modern look that fits really well for portfolios and other creative projects. The whole platform feels organized and the editing process is pleasant and fluid overall.

Cons

At times it can feel a bit limiting when you want to take the design beyond what the template is built to support.

Pretty helpful tool

Pros

Using it is pretty easy and I really like that you can ask a customer to put a card on file without charging it upfront. It's a really helpful alternative to having to request deposits.

Cons

There are quite a few features packed into it. That's not entirely a bad thing but it can feel overwhelming and a little confusing at times.

works well for small sellers

Pros

Running a personal hobby business with this has been a really convenient way to list products and get paid. It's easy to use, works really well for smaller sellers and makes the whole process feel simple and manageable.

Cons

Paying a fee to use it isn't ideal especially when you're a small business watching costs. That said fees come with just about every platform anyway and this one is fairly affordable compared to others.

Good for small businesses

Pros

Building a website with Squarespace is very easy especially for small businesses. It offers a simple path to get a site up and running and there's also room to improve it later by adding different features as needed.

Cons

One thing that holds it back is the limited customization options. On top of that the free trial is too short which doesn't leave enough time to fully explore the platform and decide whether it's the right choice.

Met all the needs

Pros

Compared with a few other website builders I have used before, Squarespace feels much more user friendly. The layout is clean and organized and I can either work with the premade blocks or build my own when I want more control.

Cons

Honestly I don't have any complaints. It does exactly what I need it to do and has met my needs really well.

Very user-friendly design

Pros

Squarespace has been a favorite for building client websites especially when they need a platform that's simple to manage and easy to use. The interface is very user-friendly and the pre-built sections help speed up the whole process. On top of that the finished sites look professional and usually run with very few technical problems.

Cons

Customization can be a sticking point since it often requires a decent understanding of CSS which may be challenging for some users. That said there are great online resources available to help with learning. Pricing can also come up as a concern especially when clients compare it to discounted WordPress offers.

Overpriced platform

Pros

One thing that worked well was the large selection of templates. In most cases I could drop in my images and text and end up with a really attractive website. The SEO tools were decent and overall it was fairly easy to find my way around and use.

Cons

The biggest problem is that it simply does not justify the price. They seem to charge extra for almost everything, from payment processing to hosting to domains. Support is polite but not very helpful when issues come up. On top of that the interface feels buggy and can be very confusing and I kept running into problems and glitches on my site.

Packed with helpful tools

Pros

Building my own website with Squarespace has been very easy and I have managed to handle everything on my own. There are useful extensions available that help improve the platform and make certain tasks more convenient. The email campaign feature has also been especially valuable for my small business since I only have a modest subscriber list.

Cons

That said there are still some limitations and user experience issues where outside help becomes necessary, like needing an extension just to change currency. I also feel the SEO isn't as strong as Shopify or at least it seems more limited in that area and the checkout experience for customers could be better too. Little details such as breadcrumbs and back buttons may seem minor but they make a big difference.

integrations are proven useful

Pros

Getting started with website design feels very accessible here especially for anyone with little to no experience. I also really appreciate being able to connect third-party apps which adds a lot of flexibility.

Cons

One thing that's becoming harder to ignore is the rising cost, even though the features stay the same. As a small business owner, the pricing is starting to feel less worthwhile for what's included.

Easy for clients to use

Pros

Squarespace has been very easy to use. Designing pages is simple and when it's time to hand a site over, it's also easy to teach clients how to manage everything on their own.

Cons

There's very little to complain about. If anything I'd just like to see it offer more support for custom code but aside from that, it has been really amazing.

fantastic templates for quick design

Pros

Designing with Squarespace feels very user-friendly. It comes with a strong variety of templates that are simple to work with and only need a little extra effort to get everything set up the way you want.

Cons

There isn't much flexibility for more advanced customization and customer support is often slow to respond. The pricing also feels a bit expensive.

clean layouts and top support

Pros

Setting up my website with Squarespace was easy, thanks to the clean page layouts. The platform was simple to use overall and the customer support was excellent whenever I needed help.

Cons

The subscription price went up which ultimately pushed me to move over to Wix. I also felt the inventory system was more complicated than it needed to be.

fun templates for creators

Pros

Building my site with Squarespace has been a really enjoyable process. There are lots of templates and features available and they make the whole creation experience feel engaging and fun to use.

Cons

Templates are amazing

Pros

One thing I really appreciated was the design flexibility especially since the templates look professional and are also mobile responsive.

Cons

Well the downside was that many of the more advanced features were locked behind the higher-priced plans which isn't how some other platforms handle it.
