“Exceptional Orientation Experience”
Pros
I find BestNotes very user-friendly and it makes sense both commonly and clinically when navigating the system. I have used six different EHRs in various locum tenens roles and they were often complex to learn with little added benefit. For my private practice, I evaluated several EHRs ranging from moderately to expensively priced, each with its pros and cons. One frustrating issue was the "training packages" that limited orientation hours. A friend who uses BestNotes for Psychiatry and Addictions Treatment recommended it, saying it was the easiest EHR she had used. I looked into BestNotes and was impressed by its affordability and features. The excellent customer service from the initial contact to the orientation for implementation really stood out. I received unlimited hours of learning at no extra cost and my trainer was knowledgeable, patient and flexible with my busy schedule. Additionally, the trainer helped me customize auto-notes and templates and taught me how to make changes myself which allows for independent improvements. I cannot praise the experience enough!
Cons
While I believe every EHR has room for improvement, I find BestNotes to be robust and easy to use. I like their openness to feedback and their eagerness to share upcoming changes. More focus on billing and clearinghouse integration would be beneficial, but it looks like that is planned for the future.
