Pros
What I love most about this software is that it does not make assumptions or second-guess my intentions. Its very frustrating to work with software that controls what you can and cannot do. With this program, I am in control. It will notify me if something is not set up correctly, but the results of my efforts are evident in its compliance. In the end, I am left with a software that is fully compliant, which is invaluable to any practice. Integrating with the billing software was smooth. Setting up tables for my therapists was simple and worth the minimal effort because the system is so easy to use. Scheduling is pretty simple now. As a full-service billing company, we handle scheduling, checking eligibility, populating demographics and insurance info and collecting payment details for our clients. We also manage sending out screenings and patient applications for the portal. This setup lets our clients focus solely on their clients without worrying about administrative tasks, which increases the chances of claims being paid and allows them to separate from the billing process. This creates a great visit every time and that is exactly what BEST NOTES has provided for us.
Cons
We were up and running within the first week. With my years of experience in billing and administration, I have learned a few tricks for making vendor transitions smooth and quick. Thanks to the team effort from BestNotes, we completed basic training and got the practices operational in just one week. So far, everything makes perfect sense and I have not found anything I dislike. I do not expect to find any issues either.

Pros
This tool is excellent for organizing and completing notes, which can be accessed by anyone on the account with the necessary permissions.
Cons
The forms could be designed better. When you delete something and go too far, it removes the box where you want to type. It would be better if the box were integrated into a framework, if that makes sense.

Navigating this service has been pretty easy compared to other well-known EMRs I have used. It provides all the documents I need and the support team is highly responsive and helpful with setup and issue resolution.
Cons

The software is very inclusive, so it takes time to get fully familiar to it. However, the onboarding process is conducted via Zoom with very accommodating and professional staff. They thoroughly cover their agenda and address any questions, even if I have asked them before. When I call customer service, I connect quickly and resolve issues immediately.

Pros
In the mental health industry, we need to maintain complete, HIPAA-compliant records. BestNotes meets all my requirements for keeping records safe and secure.
Cons
Once you enter a client assessment in BestNotes, it will duplicate the clients name and certain details each time you create a new note, so you do not need to re-enter them. If you want to modify any paperwork to fit your needs, they will make those changes and updates for you.

Pros
BestNotes is a highly capable system. I can create notes and forms that communicate and auto-populate information. The client portal is well designed and nearly everything is customizable.
Cons
The visual appeal is lacking. The system looks outdated and is quite dull to look at. Although everything can be customized and communicated, the process is lengthy and confusing. BestNotes offers excellent support and training but setting up and understanding the system is challenging.

I like the fact that I can add as much detail as needed to my advancement notes instead of just checking boxes like other frameworks. In healthcare, experiences do not always fit neatly into predefined categories. When creating a clinical note, I can add specific endorsements, like a read receipt, to keep everyone accountable which is very helpful.
Cons
I honestly cannot think of many real drawbacks to the program, except that each staff member needs proper training before using the software to ensure its used correctly. While its not a strict requirement, I believe that being trained on how to use the software will save time and reduce the need to wait for a supervisor to answer questions.

What I like most about this software is that it has an app. This makes it so much more accessible and convenient. I can easily access clients charts and leave notes without needing my computer. Even though it takes some practice to get used to, I find it very user-friendly.
Cons
What I like least about this software is that it requires a full app download on the actual computer, which makes it difficult to access from other computers or laptops.

One of the major advantages of this system is the comprehensive reports section. It includes reports for virtually any metric you want to track for your organization. Whether I need to see client demographics or reasons for client turnover, BestNotes has a report for it. Additionally, the support staff usually responds to tickets within 1 to 2 hours and often even sooner.
Cons
What I dislike the most is that Tags are located in the calendar section. If you are not careful, you might accidentally add an appointment to multiple user profiles. Once this happens, it can take between 5 and 10 minutes to reopen the appointment and delete it.

Overall, the software is quite flexible and easy to use which offers great value for the price. While there are some limitations and not everything is immediately obvious, the superb customer support helps. Once the support team explains things I find the software even more user-friendly.
Cons
Sometimes, it is challenging to figure out how to perform seemingly simple tasks, like printing a document or scanning/emailing files, without technical support. Additionally, the file size limits can be problematic when dealing with large patient files required by government agencies.

This software makes it easy to navigate the system. It is the best and simple to understand. I can use my existing consumer forms but now they are electronic instead of paper.
Cons
When we first started, we could not send patient forms to clients and could not bill directly from the system. In 2019, North Carolina required us to exchange information with other companies, but BestNotes did not support that feature at the time.

Pros
Our company was new to EHR and my staff felt quite intimidated. However, the training and customer service were incredible. They were very responsive and available. We especially appreciate that they customize the system for our specific needs and allow us to upload our existing forms. They also offer many pre-prepared, accreditation-approved documents.
Cons
We love the software and have no complaints. The only thing I can think of is that some visual graphic improvements could be made.
