“links systems but small tasks drag”
Pros
What I appreciate is how it links systems across multiple locations and services, making coordination much easier.
Cons
It often takes me an unnecessarily long time to carry out very small tasks.

“poor interdepartmental talk”
Pros
In my experience, I find the option to search for a medication or specific desired results really useful because it helps me quickly locate what I need without wasting time.
Cons
One thing I have run into is the lack of interdepartmental communication. For instance, the pharmacy team cannot talk among themselves to explain why they rejected an order which creates frustration and confusion.

“User-friendly but hard to navigate”
Pros
Overall this software is great as I find it very user-friendly and pretty simple to use once I get familiar with it.
Cons
Sometimes it's hard for me to locate certain charts as I often have to expand sections to reach the items I use most.

“Powerful program with flexible options”
Pros
I have found it to be a powerful program as once I got the hang of it, there are several different ways to get tasks done.
Cons
At first the interface was not particularly user friendly for me and I found it awkward and rather confusing until I became more familiar with it.

“simple and universally compatible”
Pros
I have found this program is widely used across most hospitals in my city. It's really user friendly and makes medication administration feel simple. It also excels at synchronizing data from all hospital locations which helps consolidate information in the electronic health record and lets all clinicians see diagnostic tests and medical faces for a patient.
Cons
At my facility, nursing and allied staff still record their notes on paper, whereas physicians already have online charting access. I am optimistic that the rollout to include the rest of the staff will happen within the next couple of years.

“Has been reliable for 7 years ”
Pros
People in our hospital from all specialties and departments have been using Cerner for the last seven years and so far there have been no major complaints. Everyone has loved the interface and I truly am happy that it works with only a few minimal hiccups here and there.
Cons
Cerner can experience downtime occasionally and it takes time to recover. Also, downtimes are frequent when there is a new update within the software.

“Highly customizable to your needs”
Pros
What I liked most is that nearly everything in the program can be customized, so I could tailor it to my needs and workflow without much issue.
Cons
That said, the program feels pretty outdated to me and I'd really appreciate having an internal notepad or simple documentation feature so I can jot down notes directly inside the app.

“evolved and great for teaching”
Pros
I have spent the last fifteen years using Cerner's Scheduling and Registration modules, plus about four to five years working with Capacity Management, so I am very familiar with them. They've evolved a great deal and gotten much better over time. I actually enjoy showing our team how to navigate the system and figuring out how each clinic can tailor the platform to suit its specific workflows and practical needs.
Cons
I find that it often takes far too long for requested enhancements to be implemented.

“A painful daily glitchy experience”
Pros
I find that Cerner lets me switch quickly between multiple patients while charting.
Cons
even though it lets me switch quickly between patients, I often struggle to visually keep track of who I am on. The tiny colored bars at the top change but everything else on the screen looks identical, so when I am rushed it's all too easy to enter notes for the wrong person. Opening imaging is another pain point as it spawns a new window that routinely takes ages to load and drags down my workflow. The whole system feels laggy a lot of the time and it seems like there's a fresh glitch every day. I have had it crash on me several times which wiped out unsaved documentation and was incredibly frustrating.

“Powerchart is worth recommending ”
Pros
Very easy in allocating lab results that are received by doctors and it is even easier to locate these results. A functionality I really like is that you can compare results and information received from one physician with another with minimal hassle. I also love how the patient file has been designed in the system.
Cons
Sometimes it is difficult to locate information within the system. When a patient is looking for certain information running a query and generating that information is not that straight forward. It gets really embarrassing as we end up telling the patients that we don’t have the information they need.

“visually appealing but overwhelming layout”
Pros
I think it's visually appealing and I like being able to submit surgery orders directly. Honestly this feels like a real improvement over the older software we used.
Cons
From my perspective, the layout is anything but user-friendly as there is an overwhelming amount of data scattered in strange spots across a patient's chart and I find printing outside the system almost impossible.

“Mediocre service ”
Pros
The most convenient activity on Cerner is putting in orders, however, that is about it. I wish I could state what I really like about it yet everything is equivalent or inferior to Epic systems so it is difficult to come up with something I truly like about it. The charting works fine yet I dont think it is really helping with any issues. Cerner providers support to healthcare specialists, however, it doesnt generally go well beyond to help make my work any simpler. I figure many individuals would concur that it fills a need, yet it isnt generally giving anything new that we cant get from an alternate EHR framework.
Cons
Everything is in a drop-down menu or you need to choose it and move to another category. Nothing seems to populate while you are charting. In comparison to Epic, it is very basic to look at, there isn’t much you can do about it while in Epic you can customize it. I also think that it’s difficult to find many areas to chart certain things. It isnt very easy to understand. I think Epic merits the cash except if you have somebody who can setup Cerner to be useful for your organization.

“It keeps our organisation running smoothly”
Pros
Our departments are located in separate spaces within the organization and it becomes difficult to communicate with each other. Thus, this application becomes useful in such a field where communication is mandatory within a very unorganized layout like ours. I also like the fact that we are able to use this software smoothly in all of its facets without having to face a major issue.
Cons
Usually, after an update, the software becomes too slow which becomes a problem when we are too busy. The app seems to fall apart and we get stuck along with our patients. We literally have to delay all of our patients and that is not what we would want in our practice.

“Simple orders, dislikes everything else”
Pros
Putting orders into Cerner is the simplest thing to do but that's pretty much where the positives end. I wish I could point to more features I enjoy, however most aspects are on par with or worse than epic's charting, so it's tough to name something I genuinely like.
Cons
I don't like that nothing automatically fills in as I document like it all has to be pulled from drop-down lists or chosen and then moved into another field. The interface feels dull and monochrome compared to epic, where I can customize layouts and colors to my liking. I also struggle to find where to chart specific items because the navigation isn't user friendly. epic lets me tap a few buttons and start typing part of a name to pull up someone but with Cerner I constantly have to hunt through nested menus, select exact entries and remember each person's full name to get things entered correctly quickly.

“Very reliable covering all the aspects of EMR”
Pros
Its ease of use and functionality make Cerner a winner for our work. It really easily customizes according to all our needs and that makes it a sure winner. We have also managed to use it to make our communication within the practice more effective. It has really shown us that a great EMR can change the idea of a successful business.
Cons
The update time is just too annoying. Plus, the customer support team really does not help when the updates are taking too long and makes our systems stop working. We have had days where we had to stop working just so that these updates can be done. Can’t wait for this to be looked into as soon as possible.

“Well organized and adaptable, needs advancements”
Pros
Clinical Information, for example, vitals and so on are exhibited in effectively recognizable segments. Its considerably adaptable and once familiar with, it is generally productive when utilized. The learning time frame included can be extended to accomplish full capability. Nevertheless, all health-related data is secured in a single easy-to-access system.
Cons
It can be inefficient and quite tedious to maneuver through. Requires several steps to locate a certain end result, especially to a new user unfamiliar with the system, its not instinctive or easy to make sense of. EMR programming often complains about feeling as though programming specialists have been the sole originators with very little concern for the ease and utility of clinical practitioners. The software feels rather obsolete and needs to be streamlined.
