“Clear ambulatory view but cluttered with bugs”
Pros
What I appreciate is that the ambulatory view remains clear and easy to read when I am only checking a single doctor's information.
Cons
There are a lot of problems. I have used Centricity in the past and found it to be a markedly superior product in my experience. Cerner often feels too cluttered and riddled with bugs, so it doesn't behave the way it should which causes numerous errors we really cannot afford. I also struggle with searching for documents within a patient's chart which makes workflow harder.

“Good but not the best out there”
Pros
I like that it has a sorted-out layout. With Cerner, medical issues are being processed, as it sees the position a patient is in. Information is gathered and we can tell an improvement in status or a decline. Additionally, legal problems are dealt with, as all the data is charted, it turns into an authoritative archive/record of a patients stay. This additionally gives an itemized record of their stay.
Cons
I dont like how contrasted with other electronic medical records, theres more work ascribed for staff who already have a lot of tasks to deal with. I dont appreciate that the system takes forever to start, the speed isnt impressive amid use either. The whole program seems too obsolete. Although Cerner might be cheaper, however, your workers are more likely to prefer Epic as it saves more time.

“Highly user-friendly and customizable”
Pros
the interface is very basic yet offering several ways to customize what I view. overall it's highly user friendly.
Cons
there's a lot of repetitive work involved in charting so having to duplicate charts is sometimes unavoidable and ends up being quite tedious when I am using Cerner.

“pretty customizable for practice needs”
Pros
What I appreciate is that the system can be customized to meet a practice's particular requirements. It's not rigidly fixed but instead offers a lot of adaptability and flexibility.
Cons
Learning the features took me a bit of time but after working with customer support I was able to grasp them pretty quickly.

“not the best fit for us”
Pros
For my needs, it's clearly designed for a hospital environment and that doesn't match the type of facility I work in.
Cons
I find it clunky to use as many dropdown menus filled with broad, generic fields that don't fit our workflows.

“way too many clicks needed”
Pros
I do appreciate that it provides a number of customizable settings I can tweak to fit my workflow.
Cons
the interface requires far too many individual clicks and complex steps just to get into PowerChart through Cerner and that extra navigation time regularly eats into bedside time which ultimately harms patient care because I end up spending a lot of my shift on documentation.

“Quick format, limited customization options”
Pros
I find the interface arranged in a SOAP-style format which lets me zip through fields and pages quickly and I consistently keep defensible documentation without issue.
Cons
the font feels too small and the interface isn't easily customized for certain evaluation types or patient notes, non-clinical staff struggle to navigate it and I was surprised at how costly it is to build custom fields.

“Time-saving but limited auto-fill”
Pros
I appreciate that it can automatically populate fields from other assessments and forms which saves me time and cuts down on repetitive data entry.
Cons
What I find limiting is that the system won't let me select multiple answers for a single question and it also doesn't auto-fill tables, so I end up doing extra manual work.

“Easy and hard”
Pros
The system is easy to use once you get used to it, and understand how things work on it. The program is very versatile, and can be programmed too fit your needs and you would then love it. It is nice.
Cons
It has a lot of glitches, often times I have to restart the system just because it hangs or glitches or just stop working for no reason. Getting the tech team to fix the problem also takes quite a lot of time, until or unless the complaints dont get submitted, which is very hard to ensure.

“Very simple and user-friendly”
Pros
I found it very simple and user-friendly as when our team moved from Meditech to Cerner, the changeover went remarkably smoothly without major issues.
Cons
the medication administration area is the weakest part as all the meds that appear when I scan look confusing and it's hard to know which one is correct.

“Incredibly simple and easy navigation”
Pros
The programs interface is incredibly simple and easy to navigate. I use it for scheduling appointments, updating patient demographics and for accessing patients charts and records whenever needed.
Cons
Frequent updates and the downtime that comes with them really frustrate me. It feels like there are too many of these updates and they interrupt our workflow and reduce productivity across the team.

“All-in-one suite solution by Cerner”
Pros
The system has seamless integration among the different services provided. Theres a set of tools designed to make reporting easier. The system enables you to pull out data from it which can be used in reporting. The software works for all types and sizes of practices. The Cerner M-Pages have truly improved doctor documentation and brisk claim passage. The new dashboards are useful and cater specifically to different practices and work zones. The capacity to move seamlessly from one solution into the next is awesome and empower clients to use every single one of the advantages of one patient, one record needs to show.
Cons
The system offers too much customization which ends up leading to much confusion and chaos when attempting to design the workflow. You must have a detailed plan for the workflow and processes before you begin to set up.

Pros
I have found its integration across the suite of solutions to be very strong. It supports best practices and I appreciate that the built-in benchmark tools can be used for reporting. I can also extract data from the system for reporting regularly
Cons
Highly customizable, it can often draw users into a rabbit hole when doing design work. I make sure to have detailed workflow and process plans before starting design work.

“Multiple search methods, still learning”
Pros
One thing I appreciate is that the application gives several different ways to search for and pull the records that are requested that's true even when I am working within just one section of our Cerner application.
Cons
I have only been using this program for a short time like less than a few months so I am still getting the hang of it and learning how everything works.

“easy reporting but restricted access”
Pros
it is easy to extract data from the database and use it for reporting which makes building reports much easier for me.
Cons
In my experience, the numerous security layers make it challenging for me to obtain full access, since the multiple permissions often prevent complete system access.

“easy finding and quick scanning”
Pros
Finding what I need in the system is not an issue and I can easily pull up previous charting to review it. Plus scanning medications is quick and simple.
Cons
If I accidentally chart at the wrong time, I end up having to go into each individual cell and remove entries one by one because there isn't a way to delete a whole row at once and I cannot edit the time after I submit.
