Pros

We primarily utilize it for checking eligibility and benefits. For a medical office, ensuring patients' insurance coverage before their visit is crucial! We've relied on Clearwave for many years now. Investing in this fantastic tool is definitely worthwhile, it's valuable every step of the way!

Clearwave Kiosks

Pros

It's simple to use; just follow the prompts. It saves time and hassle during the check-in process and is extremely user-friendly. Scanning important ID cards is also simple, with reminders to take your ID back before moving to the next screen. The kiosks are set at various heights, making them easily accessible for people with disabilities.

Support is Exceptional

Pros

Implementing Clearwave had the most impact by eliminating registration lines. Both our staff and patients loved that.

Cons

Clearwave improved our front end processes!

Pros

Our implementation team was outstanding. We were well-informed and prepared at each installation step. What surprised us most was the immediate reduction in accounts receivable as patients paid outstanding balances during kiosk check-ins a great bonus. Our front-end efficiency as a group improved right from day one with faster check-ins, more accurate data collection and payments, and seamless EMR integration.

Cons

Software updates tend to pose challenges especially when multiple systems are communicating simultaneously.

Pros

Integrating with our practice management system was seamless, and the support staff remained attentive throughout the entire process. The Clearwave kiosk is incredibly user-friendly, easing the workload and stress on our welcome desk staff. Wait times have decreased, and patients can now pre-register electronically, reducing demographic errors from manual data entry. The insurance eligibility verification surpasses what our practice management system offers. Patients can opt for text or email appointment reminders in English or Spanish, and our collections have significantly increased.

Cons

There are times when it feels like we are not fully leveraging Clearwave's capabilities, particularly given our primary patient demographic's preference for traditional methods over new technology.

The eligibility check feature is what I value most. Even when our PM software was down for a day, our Insurance and Authorizations team could operate normally, critical when dealing with 200-500 patients daily. The weekly check-ins with customer support team made implementation relatively easy as they're exceptional!

Cons

Given our patient demographic, which skews older, there are challenges with navigating technology. An app interface, rather than a mere link, would be more ideal.
