“Fast responses from the team”
Pros
The thing that keeps me using it is how dependable the connection usually is, along with a customer service team that responds quickly when needed. I was especially pleased with the latest round of updates and new features. They lined up really closely with the suggestions providers had submitted, including smaller changes that hadn't received many votes which made it clear the development team was genuinely listening. Having a virtual waiting room that I can personalize is also a feature I really appreciate.
Cons
Every now and then I do have to refresh the connection. The last period when that happened several times in one week was quite a while ago and it was around the time of the most recent update rollout.

“competitive pricing”
Pros
It was refreshingly simple. It's HIPAA compliant organized and simple to begin using and my clients have no trouble with it either since they just click a link to enter my waiting room. The video and audio quality have been very solid and the pre-call test feature adds a lot of peace of mind before sessions. On top of that, the pricing is hard to beat. There are very few high-quality telemedicine platforms that provide HIPAA-compliant service at a reasonable cost, let alone offer a free option for solo practitioners.
Cons
I can't point to anything I dislike. I'm pretty practical so I really appreciate how user-friendly and organized Doxy.me is. Some people might prefer more bells and whistles but in my view extra features usually just complicate the process and create more chances for something to go wrong.

“Meets compliance requirements”
Pros
It's been really nice having a HIPAA-compliant platform for telehealth sessions and client consultations. The setup is simple and using it feels very easy.
Cons
Honestly it was difficult to come up with any real downsides. The interface works well and the functionality and security both meet the standards I expect.

“Has free and paid versions”
Pros
You can use the platform at no cost and the paid options are priced very reasonably. They also give discounts if your monthly telehealth call volume is low which is a nice bonus.
Cons
It's a pretty basic telemedicine platform. Since my practice focuses on telemedicine, I need more features and functionality than it currently provides.

“affordable entry-level option”
Pros
Compared with other telemedicine platforms, this tool costs a fraction of the price and works really well as an entry-level option. It's also very simple for both our staff and patients to use which makes getting started and running appointments much easier.
Cons
An issue comes up when trying to connect with patients in rural areas. At times the video will work but the audio does not connect which makes those visits difficult.

“works well most of the time”
Pros
Extemely easy to operate for both me and my clients. It performs well most of the time, probably around 85% and when issues do come up, the connection often gets better during the call. Even in the worst case, we're usually still able to keep the audio going. Most of the problems seem to happen when clients try to join sessions from their cars.
Cons
One thing I miss from a previous platform is the ability for clients to send me text messages through the portal. That seems to be possible when I'm actively connected with a client but I haven't found a way for clients to message me through the portal when they're not currently in session.

“Cool waiting room feature”
Pros
The waiting room has a nice clinical feel to it which works really well and it's helpful that we can bring patients in whenever we're ready.
Cons
The reception feature could be better and the video quality also isn't as strong as I'd want.

“Dependable platform overall”
Pros
Its free and HIPAA compliant which is fantastic. It's been a dependable platform overall. It works reliably for the most part even though there are occasional hiccups or brief freezes from time to time.
Cons
Every now and then the video will freeze and the audio drops out during those moments.

“needs very little information from clients”
Pros
Its so easy to get used to. It's simple for my clients to join and doesn't require much information from them which makes the whole process much more convenient. I also appreciate that you provide a BAA.
Cons
I honestly can't think of any major downsides. I haven't run into many issues and the one problem I did have was quickly fixed by closing my browser and signing back in. Other than that, it has worked really well.

“Simplest platform out there”
Pros
Doxy has been the most simple platform I've come across. It works especially well for clients who aren't very comfortable with technology since it's simple for them to navigate and join sessions. The free version covers everything needed for basic practice use and the option to upgrade just for a day when necessary has been a real lifesaver too.
Cons
The only thing I wish it included was free appointment texting although I understand why that feature is part of the paid plan =)

“Can access via phone and computer”
Pros
Its pretty easy to manage. I can join sessions from either my phone or my computer which makes it really convenient and the platform has generally been dependable and stable.
Cons
There have been a few connection issues at times although that seems more related to the client's internet or setup than to Doxy.me itself.

“Highly recommended from my side”
Pros
After about nine months of using Doxy.me, it has been incredibly simple on my end and just as simple for my clients to use too. They can join either from their phone or a computer and nobody has mentioned having trouble logging in. I'd definitely recommend it to others.
Cons
From time to time, the connection drops while I'm in a session with a client. That said it usually seems more related to the client's internet connection than the platform itself.
