Pros
I really like the patient communication integration with the clinical chart. All communication between the practice and patient is documented, including emails.
Cons
As a Canadian-based practice, we find that the software doesn't align well with how we operate our business, but otherwise, it is a great software.

“Eaglesoft is great - not many drawbacks
Pros
We enjoy the ease of logging in, changing appointments, and keeping patient information up to date. It has great reminders and is easy to use for statements, etc.
Cons
Occasionally, there are glitches, and the company never warns us ahead of time. We usually only find out when we call in to see whats going on. Like any software, Eaglesoft can have issues, but it would be helpful if they informed us beforehand.

Pros
I like using Eaglesoft, the updates are infrequent but keep the program running smoothly. Updates to charts and treatment plans are easy to manage.
Cons

Cons

It's so intuitive. Everything is right at your fingertips. If you have any questions, customer service quickly and efficiently answers them.
Cons
I don't have any complaints about this software. If I ever have questions or issues, they are resolved within a few minutes by simply chatting with customer service.

Pros
I find the software simple and training other team members is very easy. Its extremely intuitive. Plus, the interface is clean and modern.
Cons
X-rays take a while to upload and load. Plus, the confirmation and reminder options are unreliable, so we had to use a third-party service.

Pros
When I first started using Eaglesoft, I quickly picked up the basic features. Over the years, I've learned more and can now use most of what I need to get my job done and teach newcomers.
Cons
I dislike that alerts don't pop up when I'm about to leave. Some alerts we created were account-related. I also wish there were a cloud-based version of this, though I understand it's not possible given the data and memory capacity.

“Excellent Practice Management Software
Pros
Eaglesoft has so many features that make practice management a lot easier for me. Their reports, charting, and treatment planning are very organized. I love the insurance aging report and how I can make notes that are trackable and filterable through the insurance outstanding claim window. This saves me a lot of time. There are so many features I love.
Cons
The only improvement I'd like to see is the ability to print patient notes directly from their chart note screen instead of going to patient master notes.

“Only Software for Dental
Pros
This software is the best available for general dental professionals. Everything is easy for me to do, and there isn't anything my staff can do that I can't undo. The settings allow each user to have different access to things.
Cons
Eaglesoft is not cloud-based right now. We need a physical server to run this software.

Pros
When I worked as an office assistant in a dental office, I used Eaglesoft all the time for data entry, internal communication, and looking up patient information. It was quite easy for me to navigate and served as an excellent replacement for our previous paper filing system.
Cons
Without guidance, it's tough to navigate the platform and understand its capabilities. For instance, there are various keyboard shortcuts for finding a patient or looking up sensitive information, but the help icon never mentions these shortcuts.

Pros
It's quite intuitive, with many different applications and features that are easy for me to navigate and use. Both front office, administration, and clinical staff can navigate the platform and use the features to their advantage.
Cons
Some billing features are cumbersome and hard to navigate. I'd like more control over patient account aspects.

Pros
The financial tab is easy for me to navigate through all financial transactions, with filters in the account to enter criteria like the period of time of payments or patients on the same account. The reporting is very clear, Production, Adjustment, Collection! Treatment plan reports and reports by procedure codes are great. Reports for certain periods of time can be done by the end of the day/month/year (closing reports) or by specific dates. This way, I can have perfect accuracy in data. Another great feature is the calendar window pinned on the left side of the screen, which easily lets me move to a different day.
Cons
Cancelled appointments go to the Quick Fill List, the only option for creating a contact for incomplete treatment. The notes on this appointment can be deleted anytime and do not show who did it and when unless entered manually, but this info can always be deleted.

There's plenty of room for storing patient info on the account tab. I can save credit card information for reference for auto payments.
Cons
The ledgers are tricky to read. I must apply several filters to see which service dates payments are applied to.

Pros
It is easy to plan and print treatment plans. It's easy to be chartless. For the most part, if I want it to do something, I can make it do it.
Cons
The ledger can be difficult to understand at times. Need to input more detailed insurance coverage, such as downgrades, age limits, waiting periods, and missing tooth clauses.

Pros
I am learning Eaglesoft without training and find it very intuitive. When I filled in at a couple of offices, they didn't have time to train me, so I just figured it out. It wasn't hard. The designers did a great job making it easy to use.
Cons
I used PracticeWorks for 20 years, followed by OpenDental for a shorter time. Switching to a new program is always challenging. I should have had training and still can't figure out how to generate certain reports. When balancing the morning (if it's been busy, I like to balance at lunch to avoid mistakes at the end of the day), I can't generate a collectionreport.

Eaglesoft is easy for me to use and has many helpful reports to check on the health of your dental practice.
Cons
Eaglesoft support is overpriced. We rarely use it because hold times are so long that we avoid calling. It also seems the price increases every year.

“my favorite dental software!
Pros
Before I became a para, I worked part-time as a CDA and still do temping. My favorite dental software is Eaglesoft because it's easy to use, the dental chart is very easy, and it's easy to communicate with the front desk and other clinicians. I like how organized the schedule is; it's easy to invoice my work, schedule the next patient appointment, and collaborate with other dentists and referrals.
Cons
Although Eaglesoft is my favorite software, I encounter bugs sometimes. Occasionally, while writing a note, the software freezes or an error pops up. We've contacted Eaglesoft several times, and they've helped us.
