Pros

It connects all the physicians, nurses and office staff from different disciplines, in a very organized manner.

Cons

Writing physical therapy notes is very time-consuming, plus there isnt much space available to write comments.

“Diversity and range

Pros

the diversity of features makes it stand out of other systems and it was a delightful change switching to it.

Cons

The demo is little off and it took a lot of time to understand the system completely and get to the real work

“Robust software

Pros

It is user-friendly and does not take much time to learn it, you will easily get along with Epic EHR system. It is a very strong system. It is filled with robust features and navigation is very easy and simple.

Cons

There isnt a con as such, but the system is very deep and detailed, to completely learn all the functions and features of the system will definitely take quite a while.

“One of the simplest platforms to operate

Pros

For me, Epic stands out as one of the simplest platforms to operate and I have been able to configure it to satisfy the requirements of large healthcare organizations as well as small doctors' practices.

Cons

One issue I have with Epic is that it doesn't play well with anesthesia coding and billing devices, so compatibility with anesthesia codes and related chargers is lacking.

“Strong accountability and simple navigation

Pros

I really like the strong accountability and simple navigation. It makes reviewing pts charts far simpler than with other systems and I especially like the Care Everywhere feature.

Cons

Honestly, I haven't come across anything about this product that I dislike so far.

“Fairly easy to pick up and use

Pros

It is fairly easy to pick up and use. It provides all the details I need to pull up patient medical history, test results, drug references and both new and past orders.

Cons

The instructions for using the product were pretty poor. I kept searching because there was no back button, seriously there isn't one. The procedure documentation has way too many columns. And what happened to care plans? They seem to be disappearing.

Pros

I have found this platform offers excellent flexibility and strong interoperability across healthcare settings.

Cons

Because the platform derives from the ambulatory suite, I find many inpatient features feel irrelevant.

“Brings everything together but slow

Pros

I find that Epic brings nearly every aspect of EHR and practice management together into a single interface.

Cons

In my experience it can be slow in larger practices and I feel there's an excessive amount of direct data entry expected from physicians and nurse practitioners for the tasks I would typically have a nurse assistant or medical technician handle.

“Easily find way around careeverywhere

Pros

Because it's like other platforms, I can easily find my way around CareEverywhere for coordinating patient care

Cons

I find it requires far too many clicks to accomplish basic tasks as I often have to re-enter the same information across several different screens

“Connect with other hospitals easily

Pros

One feature I really appreciate is that I can connect with other hospitals and clinics using CareEverywhere which makes sharing patient information much easier.

Cons

However, I struggle to transfer my smartphrases and personal preferences from one Epic site to a different Epic account tied to another facility or health care organization and it's not simple.

Pros

From my experience, it's a comprehensive integrated system that stores patient-specific details instead of being limited only to individual faces.

Cons

I get frustrated with how many clicks and form fields are required and the system won't accept misspelled medication names or diagnoses which makes data entry unforgiving.

Pros

As an end user, I didn't get to pick the software as my hospital made the choice, so I am simply using what the organization has adopted.

Cons

I like it for the exact reason it exists such as it consolidates information in one place and helps prevent duplication, repetitive entry and the endless busy work that old charting required.

The application easy to use and the vendor provides outstanding technical support whenever I need help.

Cons

To be honest, there's nothing I can think of that I actually dislike about this product.

“Extremely user friendly and unified

Pros

I have found the interface extremely user friendly and quick to learn, so it did not take me long to feel comfortable using it. It's a single, unified system where I can place orders and manage charting and I can pull all of the patient data from other hospitals running EpicCare.

Cons

Honestly, I cannot think of anything about the product that I dislike.

Pros

With this system I can create electronic charts, so I am able to communicate with other providers and with patients effectively.

Cons

The interface is not user friendly so it's hard for me to pull up lab results, there are too many scattered buttons and it fragments information across different places.

It's quite user friendly and easy to pick up. I don't really have another product to compare it with.

Honestly, I am not entirely certain. The workflow moves along smoothly and there's support available whenever I need it.
