It is a great way to switch from paper to electronic records. The software is designed for optometrists and ophthalmologists so it is already customized.
Cons
Customer service is not helpful which is not a good sign for a busy practice like ours.

Pros
The software is great but what really won me over was their customer support. They are well-versed in all the technical aspects of the product and always available to assist you.
Cons
I wish the practice management and EHR software could be combined into one solution so I did not have to shift between them.

“Hands down the best Optometry EHR
Pros
I am extremely happy with my experience with MaximEyes because they have made a platform that is specifically for ophthalmologists and optometrists. I did not face any trouble adapting to it and they are quick to roll out new updates to make it even more user-friendly.
Cons
I hardly ever face any issue and when I do the customer service is quick to resolve my issue and ease all my concerns.

What makes it so great is honestly the customer service. They make sure that the issues are resolved super quickly. The software is easy and customizable. Absolutely love this software.
Cons
It can get a little difficult to understand for a beginner. Some features are not as smooth but overall, its great.

Pros
The software offers a wide range of features and functions and it retains a lot of information. Their customer service is top notch. However, we found another system that we prefer a bit more for our office.
Cons
I really dislike all the pop up windows when opening MaximEyes. It takes forever to load on our computers.

“MaximEyes is an outstanding software that continues to push the technology envelope and impress us with new features.
Pros
I am very happy with the workflow, especially during examinations. It lets us take care of our patients efficiently with minimal clicks. I love the VSP calculator, the simple and effective scheduler, the online patient portal, bill pay, scheduling features and the new iPad check-in feature. They are all fantastic.
Cons
I do not have any complaints but I am very excited to hear that we wont have to sync patients between the practice management and exam modules in the future.

“Great Software and Excellent Customer Service!
Pros
MaximEyes software is customizable to fit our practices needs and this adaptability remains intact even with system updates. MaximEyes customer support has always been very helpful. On the rare occasions we have needed help, they have been readily available and addressed the issues quickly.
Cons
No software is perfect or does everything exactly as I would like but this one is far better than any other software I have used or evaluated.

“The Customization and Customer Service are Excellent
Pros
The customization reduces the time I spend on the computer in the exam room which exams more competent. Also we have always had a positive customer service experience and most importantly, we have had zero downtime over the past three years.
Cons
I think the contact lens section could use some updates. I did love it if it could auto populate the base curve and diameter once I select a lens.

“The software is very user friendly. Combining a patient's EHR with opitcal corrections and harware options is difficult and they have merged them very well
Pros
I really like the smooth flow of the EHR from Chief Complaint to history, pretest and exam, including the ICD-10 coding and manual editing.
Cons
We currently use two separate software packages (which will merge soon). It can be slow to switch from chart to chart and we cannot view records at the same time.

Pros
I find the customization options user friendly. Doctors can always access the system to review charts and our lab sees our prescriptions as soon as they are complete which make sures a smooth transition from the doctors chair to the dispensary. The transition from charges at the doctors chair to the front desk is quick and smooth and the billing reports are easy to read.
Cons
The only downside I can think of is that on very rare occasions, the system may lag which might be related to our internet connection.

“Our Maximeyes software is awesome and continues to improve with amazing features!
Pros
Our exam module has every feature we need. I also love the great scheduler, VSP calculator, eRx, contact lens handling, inventory management and the electronic EOBs for practice management. The integrated iPad front desk check-in app is fantastic!
Cons
We really like the software overall. Costs have continued to increase but thats typical of most software programs as they add significant new features.

Cons
The Accounts Receivable reports take a long time to run. Payments and adjustments can be changed after the daily close.

Pros
The cloud gives our office the flexibility to avoid bulky servers. We have not experienced any service disruptions since day one.
Cons

I am frustrated that we cannot get our codes updated on the system despite trying for two years. I keep getting the runaround from customer service. I would not recommend this system!
