A Trust-worthy EHR

Pros

I find the charting exams really helpful, the E Prescribe system works smoothly and managing patient records is easy to pick up.

Cons

I have figured out that some content becomes inaccessible if the internet goes down.

Ideal for Busy Medical Practices

Pros

I have been using Maximize since 2008. I explored other EHRs over the years but stayed with Maximize because it was far superior for documenting medical findings.

Cons

I understand that all EHRs will have their issues but nothing major to report.

Using Since Its Launch in Ohio

Pros

Integrating other software apps has been a real plus. CLX and FramesData have been also very helpful for us.

Cons

There are many features that are not instantly visible and could use some better training.

Reliable EHR Solution

Pros

I really like the accessible support and the layout that mirrors a paper EHR.

Cons

I am still learning the best practices for closing visits for billing. We need more options for direct EDR ordering for contact lenses and other labs.

Have been satisfies with them for 20 years

Pros

I get instant chat support usually within 30 seconds. They are always prompt and courteous.

Cons

Sometimes, the support staff do not fully understand what I am trying to communicate or what I need because they are more tech focused rather than familiar with how an eye care practice operates or with eyewear. However, they can quickly direct me to someone who might have better insights, so its not a major issue. I also believe there is still a lot of room for improvement on the optical side.

Switching to MaximEyes Was the Right Choice

Pros

I love customizing my exam screens for different types of examinations. Its saved me a lot of time charting and gives me more face time with patients. I can easily send prescriptions for glasses and contacts to the patient portal to meet FTC rules and easily send letters to other physicians. Ordering contacts through CLX is very easy which eliminates double entry and transcription errors. The customer service with MaximEyes is the best I have ever experienced. The team quickly addresses issues and follows up with phone calls if needed. The staff is always pleasant and helpful which we all appreciate. We have also suggested improvements to the software and many of our suggestions have been included in future updates which makes the software even more user-friendly.

Cons

My only complaint is that updates occasionally introduce unforeseen glitches that affect some functions that previously worked. While this is frustrating in the short term, I understand this happens with all systems and the team always works to resolve these issues in a reasonable timeframe.

Highly Recommend MaximEyes

Pros

I love the customization options. Although setting things up properly can be time consuming at first, it ultimately works in my favor and is definitely worth the effort.

Cons

It can sometimes feel overwhelming to customize every detail. Its helpful to have someone from Maximize who really knows their stuff to assist with this.

Easy customization

Pros

I find it easy to customize many features within the software. We can set schedules and easily adjust them if a provider is out or if we need to add an extra day. Exam templates are also highly customizable to fit individual provider preferences.

Cons

Changing prices for optical lenses is difficult because it requires updating the price in too many places. The initial setup was done by the MaximEyes implementation team but adjusting prices for the new year is not as simple as it should be.

Really user-friendly

Pros

From sales and implementation to going live, the staff and support at Maximize have been stellar and continue to be exceptional. I really like how easy Maximize is to use and that I can tailor it to fit our offices needs. The customer service staff is outstanding, always available for calls or login support when needed. My only minor issue is finding time to pause what I am doing for support calls in our busy office. I also value that they are constantly improving the software to better meet our needs and those of our patients. We are currently beta testing the welcome form integration and are excited about how it will enhance our front office workflow.

Cons

We still have not managed to get our Visual Field machine to integrate with the imaging software.
