Cons

I had a chance to use Meditech EHR in a medium-sized clinic for administration and care of orthopedic patients. Generally, it was great at providing access to data both inside and outside of the emergency clinic. It had a simple layout. Paper notes are easily scanned into the system after patient release. It is good that it does not require a separate PACS system to view images.
Cons
It was troublesome to not be able to complete my rounding from the clinic however because of no capacity to enter a progress report directly into the framework. It does not allow you to dictate or type in data directly into the system. Issuing patient discharges is a tedious and time-consuming process requiring too many steps.

The system is very fast and user-friendly in comparison to Mckesson which I was previously using before I switched to Meditech. Charting takes up a lot less time as compared to before. Online scheduling, screening, and clinical history data saves a lot of time and effort.
Cons
It tends to be very slow sometimes. I trust this wont be lasting since it is new and hoping they will improve that later on. I discover my screen crashes or halts constantly. Another unsettling thing is that on the off chance that I am working on one individuals chart, I cant change to another patient without leaving my present screen.

Meditech is the worst among all the EHR software I have operated over the years. I have been using Meditech for nearly two years and I still struggle to find a single upside of suffering through the utter ordeal that is this software. Even the latest version has nothing good to offer. The system is the opposite of intuitive. Requires extensive search to locate any crucial piece of data. If any prescription is listed incompatible with the patient, scanning it won’t issue any warning regarding that. The documentation is a waste and does not look anything like something that is built with a medical setup in mind.

I struggle to find anything good about this system. The interface design is awful. It is not at all user-friendly or intuitive. Small tasks require too many steps.
Cons
It is so evident how little logic or thought has been put into creating Meditech software. The system is slow and always has glitches. It crashes at any time, causing data loss. the service almost feels like something that makes it harder to attend to the needs of our patients instead of what it was designed to do i.e. make it easier.

Theres very little to like about this system. I struggle to find any positive aspects. It seems common sense and user experience were not prioritized during its construction.
Cons

Training is provided by the company to the staff to equip them with the necessary skills in order to operate the system. It is more suitable or smaller practices and clinics. The customization feature is nice in Meditech systems
Cons
We had it in the ER facility and it was a nightmare to use. It does not let you treat a triage unless the entire region is accounted for. I wont be wrong to say it put my patients health in jeopardy many times, especially in the case of those in need of immediate care. There were similar complaints made by people in other departments. The reports are unnecessarily long and nothing but a waste of paper.
