It is quite easy to track paper notes.

We got MeI am a secretary in an NHS trust in the UK. Meditech went live here 3 months ago. All the secretaries are finding it extremely hard to use. It is not intuitive and there are multiple pathways to do the same thing, but some of those pathways do not perform the task correctly. It is impossible to pull up meaningful waiting lists for our clinicians. Clinics are not being correctly booked in/out and patients are not getting appointed. I'm sure we will work it out eventually, but after 3 months, we should not still be trying to work out how to do basic clinic admin tasks. The previous system we had I could use confidently within a couple of weeks.

Simple tasks like documenting vital signs, placing orders, or reviewing labs often require multiple unnecessary clicks or navigating through poorly labeled menus. It lacks modern features and customization options seen in other systems like Epic or Cerner, making it feel like a step backward in an era where technology should be improving workflow, not slowing it down. For many healthcare professionals, using Meditech becomes a daily source of stress and inefficiency, ultimately affecting both staff satisfaction and patient safety.

Pros
Meditech is super easy to navigate. Also I can quickly find the info I need and it's set up in a way that it suits my work requirements.
Cons
I dislike it mainly because of features that are carried over during the upgrade from a previous version. I feel like the implementation of upgraded functions could have improved the search for orders and interventions.

We can use keyboard for navigation and dont have to rely on the mouse for every action which is great.
Cons
This software feels quite outdated. Plus it lacks intuitiveness and I feel it could benefit from a visual update. To get desired results we have to go through multiple screens which is time consuming. And at times I've accidentally exited out of it even when I did not mean to.

Pros
I have been using Meditech for a while now, less than a year and during this time, I have noticed a few great things about it. Like it is a really complete and efficient system that makes it easy for users to access medical info, which speeds up the admin processes. Another big plus is how it integrates data in real time between different departments and services which makes it way easier for the medical team to coordinate and work together.
Cons
My main issue with this system is the difficulty in using certain functions efficiently as they require more training and familiarity. There is room for improvement to make all functionalities more intuitive.

Theres nothing I find appealing about this software.
Cons
To access simple information like lab trends or previous summaries it takes at least 45 steps. Theres no option to link with EMR systems from other facilities. Lack of customer support is a significant drawback. For instance in my facility resolving issues with charts takes over 2 weeks.

The software actually works well, better than some other EMR options I have tried, and it's also very strong on HIPAA compliance which is a big plus.
Cons
The features feel outdated and havent kept up with the software standards of the 2020s which many of our used to. Mainly it lacks the click-ability for most inputs because of that we have to rely heavily on arrow keys which feels pretty old-school.

Cons

Pros
Meditech is better than Epic. It reserves rooms specifically for incoming ambulances and lets us update information without causing any system issues. Plus multiple departments can work on the same chart and making notations is a lot easier.

It allows us to communicate seamlessly among hospital services with all chart details easily accessible once a patients chart is opened. And we can also easily access all orders, vitals, lab results, notes, progress reports and more.
Cons
Using Meditech as our registration software for outpatient rehabilitation and therapy orders is inefficient. It takes around 12 clicks to access a patients scanned PT order.

I am Satisfied with to use of Meditech EHR Software. It connects billing (front and back end) and clinical documentation which is great. And for billing, coding and compliance it is so much better than other software out there.
Cons
If we compare Meditech EHR to EPIC, it lacks a lot of features like insurance verification and faxing charts. Plus it also makes you enter the same processes over and over which feels tedious mainly to those focused on clinical work or billing and accounts receivables.

There had always been a problem regarding communication between separate divisions in our hospital but Meditech has resolved this issue of ours. It is so easy to use that it actually allows you to enjoy your work. Plus managing different aspects and departments is much simpler with this EHR. It is user-friendly and great for both small and large healthcare facilities.
Cons
It is a little expensive. Plus it works smoothly as long as you do all things right. But one tiny error sets it off balance and is really hard to fix. Small tasks require precise steps to produce results which can be a hassle.
