“Impressed with it”
Pros
The way it automatically connects to Avaya and pulls up my work claims is genuinely convenient. It saves a lot of steps and keeps me from having to hunt around to get to the information I need for work.
Cons
It does occasionally get impaired and sometimes won't automatically load my claims which means I have to retry instead of jumping right in.

“solid EMR with strong billing”
Pros
Pretty solid EMR overall!! And the billing side has a lot of options. The billing functions alone feel pretty thorough which made it easier to handle day to day needs.
Cons
That said, other competitors might offer more alternatives and features that go further depending on what you're looking for.

Overall it's a solid EMR. The billing features are more than enough for what I need.
Cons
I feel like other competitors might offer more options with better features. This one just doesn't compare in terms of what it can do.

Pros
I'm really enjoying the crisp, clean layout of NextGen. Everything feels adaptive and the features are exactly where I'd expect them to be. The whole app is super user friendly which makes daily use a lot less stressful.
Cons
What I like least is how it handles multiple windows there are a lot of them popping up at once.

“strong health record and billing integration”
Pros
Patients are able to review their own health records, including medications, lab test results and the billing integration has been a real help with handling my billing needs.
Cons
To get everything set up just the way you want especially customizing can be pretty complex and take a lot of time. It doesn't seem like the best fit for a small practice.

“templates are great”
Pros
NextGen Office is a genuinely helpful platform for keeping track of patient information and the built in templates plus customization options make it fit different workflow needs.
Cons
Whenever there's a new software update, it can be pretty disruptive customized settings and features often get reset so you have to redo them. Also, medical staff and providers may need retraining to stay comfortable with the latest features and options.

“Pretty helpful for us”
Pros
I find NextGen Office to be a really useful platform for managing patient information. It has a range of templates and customization options that make organizing everything simple and this flexibility has been a game-changer for our practice. I can set up templates specific to the types of appointments we handle, and it's easy to adjust things to suit our workflow. This saves so much time, especially when documenting patient visits and retrieving records.
Cons
New software updates can be challenging for me because they often erase previously customized features which requires me to set them up again. medical staff and providers need to be retrained to become familiar with the new features and options.

“Works well but should be improved”
Pros
The integration between our practice manager (scheduling) and EMR (records) software is fantastic. Also I love how I can easily forward and save smart phrases to speed up my note writing process.
Cons
Personally, I think that completing the exercise log is a very boring task. it takes way too much time in comparison to other sections of notes. other than this, it is a bit complicated to deal with some sections of the evaluations and it results in complications while locating information.

“its great”
Pros
The integration between the practice manager's scheduling and the EMR's records is genuinely useful. It also lets me carry forward and save smart phrases which speeds up my documentation a lot and makes note writing less repetitive.
Cons
Finishing the exercise log feels pretty tedious and drags on compared to the other parts of the notes. A few sections of the evaluations aren't laid out in a way that feels adaptive so it takes extra time to figure out where specific items are located.

“I like it”
Pros
This includes billing and it also supports Medicare and Medicaid which is a big plus for healthcare workflows. It also comes with different templates tailored to various conditions so organizing and managing everything feels more simple.
Cons
Getting everything set up in the management pages takes a fair amount of work and can feel a bit tiring at first. After the initial setup is complete, the system becomes much more comfortable to use.
