“Worst code bases to work with

Pros

Its open source and includes most of the functions I expect in an EMR.

Cons

There is no support and the documentation is very poor. The API is weak as it offers very few endpoints. Also this is one of the worst codebases I have ever seen as views have SQL queries, there are no standards and the database design is poor.

The navigation is very easy to use, as it follows the common layout and design practices typically found in EMR systems.

Since I only have access to a demo site the data is outdated and too minimal to showcase reporting and other features properly.

It offers alot of options, and its flexibility makes it easy to customize according to my specific needs. It is very user-friendly, with an interactive design that makes it simple to use. Also, it ensures that all of our data is kept secure.

I had been searching for an EHR software to transition from paper records, and this solution has fulfilled all of my requirements. It has been incredibly impressive in how well it handles everything I need, from organizing patient information to improving efficiency.

It needs to have an automatic email for reminders to patients so we do not have to manually send it to everyone.

“OpenEMR for rental tracking

I can configure it easily by creating forms from scratch or tweaking the existing ones out of the box.

Cons

Managing the log and keeping track of rental items like scooters and wheelchairs can be challenging, especially since the product does not come with any pre-configured features for this purpose. This means I have to set things up from scratch, which can be time-consuming and requires extra effort.

“Fantastic and Free!

Pros

One of the best EMRs out there that is free as well as completely functional. It is very user-friendly and customizable, which makes it even better than its fellow competitors. The customer support team is very responsive, and they possess good knowledge regarding the software.

Cons

The only drawback to this is the need for knowledge or IT support. And while the customer support representatives are readily available, working with a team that would have EMR experts would make things a whole lot easier.

Price is right, its easy to install and it does not crash. I have been using OpenEMR since 2010 in my private medical office. Everything runs online on our domain. I installed this software myself and I am no IT expert as I am an orthopedic specialist.

Cons

Translating to Portuguese is very difficult for me.

Navigating through the software and implementing its features has been quite easyd for me. It has made documenting notes much simpler, streamlining the process and saving me valuable time. Plus, the software has improved the patient check-in process.

During verification of insurance, some issues arise which slow down the patient’s check-in. however, those issues are easily resolved.

“Leading free php EMR software

Pros

Easy to use and I like having multiple form types for data entry. The interface of OpenEMR 6.0.2 is incredibly smooth. It fits well with our small practice which now has 13,000 registered patients.

Cons

They have not developed a dedicated mobile app yet. The browser based interface works but a mobile app would be an added bonus.

The only thing I liked about this software was that it was free and all I needed to do was hire a trainer to teach my office staff how to use it.

I have to program or set up all the functionalities myself. There is no automatic configuration, so everything needs to be customized manually, which can take some time and effort.

This EMR stands out as a strong option when compared to others.

Cons

The barcode pop-up should display customized patient details, similar to how OpenClinic GA generates an OPD card with patient information. Also the in-house option in the dispensing module should be removed to simplify the dispensing process. Currently, if I forget to select a drug from the in-house dropdown, the system throws an "Internal error, no drug ID specified!" message. It would be much more efficient if the in-house option was eliminated to avoid this issue.

The cost is brilliant! The tool works, in spite of the fact that not fundamentally right out of the box in the event that I have got uncommon needs. Adaptability is incredible. Works on different platforms.

There is a learning curve, especially if the customizations are not set up properly. It can take some time to get used to the system and understand how everything works.
