What is OpenEMR Software?

Overview

OpenEMR software is a free and open-source cloud-based solution. The software provides integrated electronic health record (EHR), medical practice management, billing, and patient scheduling services to medical practices.
The main goal of OpenEMR is to offer healthcare providers with a centralized location to manage patient information and administrative tasks. The EMR is interoperable and completely customizable, allowing practices to set up the software according to their precise requirements.

What is OpenEMR Best For?

OpenEMR supports languages such as English, Arabic, Czech, Danish, French, German, Greek, etc.

Pros

Its open source and includes most of the functions I expect in an EMR.

Cons

There is no support and the documentation is very poor. The API is weak as it offers very few endpoints. Also this is one of the worst codebases I have ever seen as views have SQL queries, there are no standards and the database design is poor.
