Penelope Provides an Opportunity for Quality Training for our Students

Pros

In an educational/training context I find it beneficial to be able to purchase "generic" licenses. Additionally the ability to customize our own forms and documents is a great advantage. The support provided is also the best.

Cons

Setting up our system was very time consuming task. Despite this there are still reporting issues that fail to meet our requirements.

Pros

The software meets the majority of our needs for tracking clients, staff notes, documents and scheduling space in our building for both internal and external meetings.

Cons

I am unable to create mailing labels using Penelope. The calendar for external group meetings does not consistently synchronize between the appointment icon and the monthly calendar on the side tab. I wish the calendar functioned more like Outlook and the search should encompass all options without requiring additional clicks.

It's a great software that's easy to use once you've learned how to use it.

Pros

It serves as a record holder and allows all staff to complete documentation. Once you become familiar with the features navigating through it is a simplest thing.

Cons

It takes a while to become expert in using all the software features. Additionally only a limited number of users can sign in simultaneously.

Pretty Good Software!

Pros

The customer support is amazing with quick response times. The software is very intuitive and efficient.

Cons

I have been using this software daily for several months and there was one instance where the site experienced a half day outage. It would be beneficial to have a dedicated app for easier access.

the worst ever

Pros

It would be great if the software were more user friendly for the average person.

Cons

The software is not mobile friendly as it constantly logs me out every 15 minutes. Furthermore, email communication is remarkably slow sometimes taking a day to be received.

I used this system as a mental health intern - it was my first exposure to mental health software.

Pros

The software has various highly useful functionalities. If you like you can delve into detailed documentation.

Cons

The user interface is quite complicated making engagement challenging at times. There are multiple pathways to access different parts of a case file or input similar information, leading to confusion.

Good program. Bizarre service

Pros

The program is good and easy to navigate similar to other programs with similar functions. Despite witnessing the oddest service, I have been using it for a long time and hesitate to switch.

Cons

The support experience was really bad. It took a week and numerous emails to receive assistance for a minor fix and they even charged a fee for a password change. I have never encountered such charges before and it left a negative impression.

Penelope has given us great flexibility with our student counselor population!

Pros

Students can access it anywhere and the outcome measures are excellent. The ability to visualize score charts over time is particularly effective for clients.

Cons

Deleting certain errors is very difficult most of the times. Also The provided instructions still lack the clarity I desire. When establishing new outcome measures I continue to find the process complicated.

UI is poor. Reporting function only in PDF. not SMS friendly. Case file structure = privacy issues

Pros

It has a diary schedule connected to cart items. It is useful if you only want Penelope to handle one specific task such as ATAPS service and payments.

Cons

The user interface is confusing resulting in difficulty in data entry and increased time spent on inputting information. The software lacks mobile and tablet compatibility. The reporting function lacks a dashboard feature only providing PDF reports or requiring manual copying into Excel. The structure of case files and service files raises privacy concerns potentially necessitating a switch from this product based on legal advice. Technical support availability in Australia is limited.

Penelope has been a great tool for our programs. I have enjoyed learning all she has to offer

Pros

I like the ease of reporting functionality. It is effortless for me to track the frequency of services provided to our clients and monitor their progress in our programs. Being able to link records with family members allows for a comprehensive view of multiple clients within a family group. The technical support we have received has been fantastic.

Cons

Penelope seems more suited to a clinical environment than our specific needs. Within Penelope there are numerous features that we simply do not use. I find some screens difficult to navigate and there are certain functions that are irrelevant to our program requirements. During the initial introduction we had a teleconference with the Penelope project team, which turned out to be a lengthy and unproductive meeting. Unfortunately the person representing the program failed to effectively sell it to us. Her presentation style was monotonous and quite boring, causing us to lose interest and become disengaged from the meeting.

Best Case Management Software ever! Does everything we need it to and then some!

Pros

The product flows smoothly and is user friendly (even our placement students have no trouble using it), efficient and the accounting portion is great. Also, The customer service through help tickets is excellent.

PENELOPE offers much in the way of case management, and tracking informal workshops etc

Pros

The software is cloud based and has multiple applications. We are satisfied with the software itself.

Cons

While the software offers a wide range of applications the knowledge base lacks the necessary information and is difficult to navigate. Local technical support and expertise in New Zealand seem to be limited. It would be beneficial to have face to face discussions regarding our ongoing setup and reporting needs.

Was involved and led the requirements study to bring Penelope to the Family Service Canada network.

Pros

I am completely dissatisfied with the product.

Cons

The software is not at all user friendly. Also It is expensive and unreliable for data compilation and billing processes. The reports are inflexible and lack customization options. I could provide more detailed information and recommendations if given the opportunity to discuss with the CEO or senior directors.

We use Penelope for scheduling, case noting, and financials. We've been very happy with it.

Pros

The best aspect of using this software is its reliability and the excellent customer support. I have been using it daily for almost two years and the site has only experienced one brief downtime. Customer service promptly sent me an email with an alternative method to access the site. Any questions I have had were answered with clear and concise instructions within hours. The software's help section also provides clear instructions for various tasks.

Lack of modern functionality, lack of communicating to customers, broken promises with timing.

Pros

The product is tailored to our industry and we are accustomed to it since its already installed. We encounter very minor issues with it.

Cons

The software lacks portal functionality. There is no option to integrate external systems for resource management or bookings. Additionally there is no self help intake process where clients can input their own information.

Excellent software, does what we need and in time may need to roll with changes of improvement

Pros

Once you understand the software it is when you will really like and understand its capabilities and how it offers a simple solution.

Cons

Yes it is important to reevaluate the workflow but o believe the focus should primarily be on training the navigators. Customer feedback plays a key role in developing a tailored solution for the market while maintaining the original NGO concept of the design. It is also important to enhance the products usability based on the target market.
