Cool reporting features

Pros

The software has proven to be the best for us. The excellently designed interface allows seamless access to patient records, which reduces the time spent on documentation and increases time spent on patient care. Also, the ability to integrate with pharmacy records ensures that medication management is efficient and accurate. And the software's reporting features have improved our administrative workflows significantly.

Cons

The major con is the difficulty to understand the software at first for the new staff members. Training can be time consuming, which is not appreciated.

Excellent tool for patient management

Pros

PointClickCare makes it easy for us to access our patient information, and the integration with other systems like pharmacy and lab results has streamlined our processes. Moreover, the software's smart design helps reduce the paperwork burden, allowing our staff to focus more on resident care. The customer support team is also very responsive and helpful.

Cons

The initial setup phase was quite intensive and required a lot of time and effort to customize the system to our specific needs. It is something we didn't expect but other than that all is well.

Saves time!

Pros

I highly recommend this tool for Nursing Facilities. With just a few clicks, all patient information can be accessed in one place, which can significantly reduce search time, paper and printing costs, filing, and so on. It also provided an excellent means for connecting the pharmacy to patient records.

Cons

The most challenging aspect for me was the initial setup, as it requires a significant amount of time.

I really appreciate that PointClickCare is always working on improving its core features. It's clear they're committed to making the transition to electronic records as smooth as possible, which has had a huge impact on our team's ability to deliver better care. Each update brings something valuable, and I feel like they truly make a difference in both our workflow and in patient outcomes.

Cons

Its important to keep in mind that add-on products can be costly. Make sure to factor in the price of all the items you want to purchase.

Made my work easier

Pros

Ensuring accurate medication administration is essential to prevent medication errors. The software is user-friendly, making it accessible even for nurses without prior experience. I appreciate many of its features, especially the one that facilitates easy collaboration with the facility's contract pharmacy. And the navigation is super easy.

Cons

I sometimes find it to be too slow and that can hinder a nurse's ability to provide timely care, which is crucial in healthcare.

Refreshing app with user friendliness

Pros

This software is user-friendly. Me and my staff were able to navigate and use all the functions efficiently with minimal training and guidance.

Cons

While I've had mostly a positive experience with PointClickCare, the customer service and help functions could use some attention. It feels a bit like a suggestion box with a hole at the bottom, issues don't always get addressed as quickly as I'd hope. That said, I haven't needed them often, so it hasn't been a major setback, but it's something to keep in mind for anyone considering the software.

Documentation is sorted for us now

Pros

Super easy to use and lets us quickly take action at the point of care. Documentation is pretty simple, even though it can get a bit repetitive sometimes. The integration with lab work is great, and pulling up patient profiles is really quick.

Cons

I do find that the documentation process can be a bit repetitive and time consuming, with a lot of clicking involved. It's also easy to accidentally lose information if I navigate away from the screen. But despite these quirks I still really love using it!

Easy way to manage electronic health records

Pros

I love how simple this platform is! Once you have provided care, it's just a quick "point and click" process. Since I use it from both the Admin and Clinical sides, I'm pretty familiar with all its features. I have used PCC in various healthcare settings like Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living.

Cons

One thing Im not particularly happy about is how PointClickCare doesn't easily integrate information when transitioning patients from one setting, like SNF, to another, like Assisted Living. The Risk Management feature mostly focuses on resident falls but it overlooks other important changes, like skin integrity. When I try to report new skin issues in Risk Management, it asks the same questions as fall reports, which can be quite inconvenient.

Good but could be better

Pros

One of my favorite features of PointClickCare is how convenient it is to have all patient information in one spot. Being able to scan and access all records in a single system has been such a time-saver for our team. I don't have to dig through different files or systems, which lets us focus more on patient care. It really simplifies things and keeps everything we need right at our fingertips.

Cons

If I'm working at multiple facilities, the "home" patient list always pops up and I can't easily log out of one facility and log into another within PointClickCare.

Pros

Amazing charting features

Pros

I really like the graphical chart for viewing Utilization reports. Most department heads find the visual really helpful for understanding how the facility is doing.

Cons

Up to now, I haven't run into any major issues. I just hope that PCC continues to enhance its existing features as I find them useful.
