What I like best is that the software is adaptable. If you share your ideas or thoughts, you might see a version of your idea become a tool in the system. I also like the company culture at DocuTAP the people there are great!
Cons
Sometimes, the system's processes and features, intended to improve workflow, end up being more of a hindrance. This might be because they are developed from specific requests that don't fit the whole or come from a non-medical perspective. Also, it can take a while for ideas or requests to be implemented.

I really like DocuTAP because it's so straightforward and efficient. It's nice to quickly and easily enter patient information while working with them. I can move around quickly in DocuTAP and chart what I need with the patient's information. It is a great software.

It's straightforward and intuitive to use. Running reports is easy. The addition of analytics is fantastic! Support is helpful when accessible. We've been fortunate to be included in some of the development and testing processes. The vendor has grown and continues to grow, looking for ways to keep upgrading and expanding services. They are staying competitive within the industry.
Cons
I wish the Dashboard was more accurate. Each time there is an update, we seem to encounter errors (e.g., RX printers not working, fee schedules getting "lost"). After-hours extended support availability would be nice.

“DocuTAP makes getting charges out quick and accurate.”
Pros
For me, the best aspect of the software is the CME (Coding Made Easy) tool. By spending time upfront to create a good set of rules for your facility/region/insurances, you can scrub all your claims and eliminate many errors that were previously attributed to "human error." Eliminating these errors minimizes the time spent re-filing claims, reconsiderations, and appeals, leading to a better (and faster) revenue cycle. DocuTAP support is responsive to requests for assistance and usually provides fixes within 24 hours. They also offer a great research tool (the DocuTAP Community) where you can reach out to other users, share ideas for software improvement, and find videos and instructions on performing different tasks.
Cons
The posting features are a bit disjointed. The software treats payments from different entities (patient, insurance, Occ med) in completely different ways, which can be confusing. Occasionally, when a request moves from basic support to the next level, it can get lost in the shuffle.

The software is simple to use, and the layout is straightforward. In Urgent Care, we can't afford to wait for software to catch up or navigate through complicated screens. DocuTAP is designed to efficiently move through the patient interview and exam.
Cons
The inability to resize windows is problematic. I constantly need to use scroll bars (both vertical and horizontal) to access all parts of the window.

DocuTAP has been easy to use once you know where the options are. It's easy to switch between screens in parts of the notes and customize many features. I can complete many tasks quickly. The help desk is always friendly and patient, quick to troubleshoot and resolve issues. The online tutorials are helpful too.
Cons
There are frequent updates to keep up with. It's not entirely bad, but it's tough to familiarize myself with the updates until I encounter a roadblock during a task. There are templates that could be helpful but aren't populated with subcategories or are unavailable. I'm not sure if that's due to the program or our center's customization. Many medications aren't listed by their generic and brand names, like Implanon.

The vendor is excellent. They provide the best customer service I have experienced in a long time and always go the extra mile to help solve problems. I feel like they are truly part of our team.
Cons
There are still several common-sense improvements needed in the software navigation. It feels like any changes have to go through a large committee, making it almost not worth bringing up. I wish there were master classes on the software closer to where I live in CT since I can't make it to S.D. and it's too much time out of the office.
