What is Practice Velocity EHR Software?

Overview

Practice Velocity EHR software – recently rebranded to ‘Experity’ (also formerly called ‘DocuTap’) – is an integrated, cloud-based, subscription platform designed to meet the needs of individual practitioners and small to midsize urgent care clinics. It provides fast and flexible EMR, practice management, revenue management, and patient engagement capabilities that enable practices to register patients, check their insurance eligibility in real-time, and facilitate practice clients with split billing.

This best-in-class solution has been built specifically for urgent care medical settings to take the complexity out of delivering on-demand services.

What is Practice Velocity EHR best for?

Practice Velocity is best for measuring the speed and efficiency of medical procedures in urgent care settings. It can be used to track individual providers' productivity and the practice's overall performance and identify areas for improvement (to a notable degree of cost-effective/bottom-line-shoring success).

Practice Velocity EHR Cost/Pricing

Practice Velocity plan prices, while deemed cost-effective when considered relative to other prominent field EHRs, have not been publicly communicated by the vendor. This is on account of the fact that the subscription packages offered are large of a turnkey bent: customized to the requirements of individual subscribers.

If you want to attain quick ballpark figures, however, please click on the Get Pricing.

Practice Velocity Demo & Trial Offer

The Practice Velocity demo and trial offer provide great opportunities to see the EHR in action – determine how they would operate in your practice’s context.

Like the vendor’s pricing orientation, these options are not provisioned publicly.

To experience a Practice Velocity screening via our platform, however, please click on the Watch Demo.

How Does Practice Velocity EHR Work?

The software can be accessed through a web browser or a mobile device and is typically cloud-based, meaning that it is hosted on remote servers and accessed over the internet.

To get started with a Practice Velocity EMR subscription, users are required to do the following:

  • Step 1: Sign Up for a Plan/Subscription
The first step is signing up for the desired plan subscription – this can either be done by visiting the vendor’s official website or, more conveniently, reaching out to our customer service reps (via the helpline number above) and letting them take care of the complete process tailored exactly to your needs!
  • Step 2: Set Up Your Account
Once you have signed up for your subscription, you will need to set up your account. This includes creating user accounts for all staff members who will be using the system, setting up security protocols, and entering any relevant patient information into the system.
  • Step 3: Training
The next step involves training staff members on how to use the system. Here, the software offers comprehensive training resources such as videos and tutorials that can help staff quickly become familiar with its features and capabilities. Additionally, the vendor provides customer support services if you have any questions or need assistance during setup or training.
  • Step 4: Go Live!
Once you have completed setup and training, you are ready to go live. With its integrated practice management, patient engagement, and revenue cycle solutions, your Practice Velocity subscription can help streamline operations and improve overall efficiency in your healthcare organization.

Practice Velocity EHR Software Features

Keeping in mind that the needs of an urgent care clinic are different, VelociDoc, the vendor’s urgent-care solution integrated with the Practice Velocity mainframe, is entirely web-based and connected with the company's PVM (parallel virtual machine) practice management system. It allows data on demographics, coding, and billing to be recorded and seamlessly communicated to the admin and payments systems. The VelciDoc support also ensures that users get a smooth transition process when they get started

Patient portals allow patients to visit the clinic when it is convenient for them and provide pre-visit information via their mobile devices. It reduces the amount of time they spend in the office. Practice Velocity has noted that smart queuing cuts wait times by 80% for most practices. Moreover, patients can book appointments in less than 8 minutes; the reason why they have tailored their patient portal feature as such

Practice Velocity includes an appointment scheduling system that allows patients to schedule appointments online and practitioners to manage their schedules efficiently

The reporting and analytics module allows practices to track and analyze key performance indicators, such as patient volume, revenue, and operational performance

Works exceptionally well/all EHR bases covered for the first two years in practice. Currently contemplating switching to a more advanced system; am reluctant to shift after having gotten used to Velocity’s user-friendly screens.

Cons

Nothing major; just go light on all the promotional messaging sent on email.

Pros

Great EHR for busy clinicians who want a cost-effective, all-in-one, medical software for their practice; with a solid vendor support staff available round-the-clock to provide genuine help (HUGELY different from what the EMR big-shots ‘Ep.’ and ‘Ce.’ – you know which – are offering).

Cons

There IS a thing as being too friendly and undecided at times; an impression I sometimes get talking to their support team. You need to be definitive guys – just tell us if a feature’s good for us or not (we won’t sign-off!).
