Adventures with DocuTap

Pros

The people! When you contact Support, they are not only knowledgeable but also friendly, making you feel like you've known them forever. If they don't know the answer, THEY WILL CONSULT A COLLEAGUE, demonstrating their teamwork. It's a positive, motivating experience. P.S. - support is available 24/7!

Cons

It's not as intuitive as it could be. I'd appreciate links to the Knowledge Base as it relates to certain screens. For example, if you're in the Insurance Maintenance screen and need instructions on setting up a new ins, it would be helpful to have a link directly to the Knowledge Base. It would save a lot of time for both the user and support staff.

Review of DocuTAP by new user

Pros

Effortless clicking to chart on various patients. Very straightforward.

Cons

Page layout and needing to scroll to opposite sides of pages to see the whole note. Reading the finished chart if only using clicks is extremely difficult and doesn't read like the English language should.

DocuTap Physician One Urgent Care

Pros

The system is quite intuitive; however, it can occasionally become a bit chaotic with all the steps and data input since various people use it.

Cons

There are so many steps for almost everything. On PMR, I have to go through multiple steps before verifying insurance. On EMR, I have to navigate numerous tabs to add new medication or medical history.

Exceptional Experience

Pros

Our entire staff, from the front desk to the clinicians and our billing team, loves DocuTAP because it's simple and straightforward. DocuTAP has a wonderful company culture, and the team is knowledgeable, service-oriented, and delightful to work with.

Cons

It lacks some components related to patient engagement, and some dashboards and analytics reporting could be improved. The only thing I dislike about the vendor is that they are located too far from our clinics; it would be great to see them in person more often.

I have worked in an urgent care setting for four years.

Pros

Customer service and speed have been excellent. I appreciate its portability and the ability to access it from anywhere. It suits the needs of any urgent care practice well. I've used this software in many clinics with different clientele and have never had any major issues. Scrolling through visits is easy and very helpful.

Cons

There are glitches and updates. I wish the labs integrated into the charts more smoothly and clearly. I also wish telephone notes could be made with fewer clicks.

Wonderful EMR system

Pros

DocuTap Friendly

Pros

I find it incredibly easy to navigate. Initially, I thought it might be challenging, but within just a few days of training with this product, I grasped it immediately. My colleagues were also very impressed. This software is immensely helpful in our field as it saves time by reducing paperwork. It enables us to accomplish so much within a short period, facilitating the flow of the office.

Cons

Easy, breezy, beautiful....DocuTap!

Pros

They really listen to their customers! I love how they consider suggestions and ideas from users. I also love how straightforward the EMR and PM are in DocuTAP. I've used other EMR systems, and this is by far the easiest to navigate and chart on!

Cons

The technical difficulties we sometimes face. The system going down is expected occasionally, but it's always an inconvenience.

DocuTap review

Pros

It's easy to learn and use. I was up and running on the EHR with just 8 hours of training.

Cons

It's hard to customize. I'd like to create more templates. With my last EHR, I could make individual templates for ROS, physical, and Plan for various diagnoses, which made charting easier. 2) I don't like having to click through many fields for physical exam findings. There are too many clicks to get what I need, and often, I have to add free text anyway. 3) I need free text under Assessment to discuss my differential and how I arrived at this assessment. I've been putting this in Plan but believe it would be better under Assessment for better communication with coworkers, especially if the patient returns for reevaluation.

#1 Urgent Care EMR

Pros

I find DocuTAP incredibly intuitive, which boosts our clinic's efficiency and lowers risk. The DocuTAP team is also fantastic; they genuinely care about their customers and are receptive to feedback and suggestions.

Cons

I wish there was more non-financial reporting. I'd like to see reports on staff efficiency, more options to drill down and run reports on patient wait times, door-to-door times, etc. The reports exist but aren't as detailed as I'd like.

Overall a good system.

Pros

I like that this EMR system is specifically geared to urgent care. It's pretty simple to learn, especially on the EMR side. The PM side does take a bit longer to master. The tech support has also been very helpful when I called with a problem.

Cons

When I first started using DocuTap, certain screens took a long time to load, but this has improved recently.

Pros

The EMR is easy to utilize. There are multiple approaches to performing the same function.

Cons

PM is not easily customizable. It's difficult to get new ideas submitted and implemented. They appear to be behind in innovation. The patient portal is not user-friendly or reliable.

Docutap for urgent care

Pros

It's very specific to urgent care, allowing you to enter vitals and urgent care-specific chief complaints smoothly. On the PM side, it's very easy to schedule patients. Customer support is very helpful.

Cons

The system freezes a lot, it's hard to find some diagnosis codes, and insurances don't always verify. When the system freezes, documents won't always print, and I get kicked off sometimes.

Solid Urgent Care EMR

Pros

The EMR can be modified to match your needs. The support team is friendly, knowledgeable, and available.

Cons

It's not a great fit for pediatrics. We've spent a lot of time editing, and we are bound to computers since using iPads in the room with patients isn't viable for us.
