“Best system we've come across

Pros

Really cool how it allows each provider to customize their workflow. In our multidisciplinary clinic we've been using it for several years now and it fits our varied needs. In almost twenty years of clinical practice, this is the best system I've come across.

Cons

We see a lot of ongoing development work so sometimes we have to schedule time for installs. However, those updates have always been finished before our clinic opens for the day.

Their team is unbelievably responsive and I find they always handle our questions quickly while offering the exact guidance we need.

Pros

One thing I really notice is how genuinely committed the team seems to be. I also appreciate that these aren't off-the-shelf, prefab templates. Instead, the clinician builds a personalized template from earlier, similar examples using their own wording. There are a whole host of benefits to this approach, the notes sound natural and unstilted and I hardly ever run into trouble remembering what I previously named something or how I phrased it before.

Cons

It operates like a small company which brings a lot of positives. I've even had several conversations with the physician who founded the business. On the flip side, that same small-company structure means staffing can sometimes fall short for certain tasks for example, system upgrades, rolling out a new version and similar projects. Fortunately, in my experience this doesn't happen very often so it's not usually a big problem.

Pros

In a hectic multi-doctor office, I've been through three different EHRs and hands down, Praxis stands out as the top one. It feels like having a live scribe embedded in the program, except there's no need to hire extra staff or absorb the additional cost which frankly can be high. As our team uses it more, it picks up on our habits and modifies itself to match our workflow making tasks noticeably quicker and simpler. What I appreciate most is how user-friendly and flexible it is. Other platforms push you into complex, inflexible processes that waste time whereas it adapts to each clinician's style. It learns how every physician prefers to document and continually gets better. Overall the interface is highly user-friendly and pleasant to use and very efficient overall.

Cons

All in all, my experience with Praxis has been favorable. It has freed up a tremendous amount of my time personally. That extra time means I can concentrate more on patient care since we aren't buried under nonstop clicks and paperwork. The system has been invaluable when coordinating care across several providers and managing many patients.

“They listen to feedback

Pros

What I appreciate is being able to adjust virtually every part of the system to my workflow. My input actually gets listened to and my suggestions are taken into account. Best of all, when I need help I can reach a real person and get support right away.

Cons

Initially I thought the system was missing several of the crucial capabilities I rely on in an EHR. After sending one quick email to my trainer, development kicked off and the functionality began to be built into the platform. I've been frustrated before when other EHR vendors only offered reasons why something couldn't be introduced but with this team it's all about doing. They don't make excuses, they take action.

I really like how creating templates is so simple here. It makes documenting patient notes feel quick and effortless every time.

Cons

Can't complain about anything. As a long-time user, I've found their support team to be excellent and because of their responsiveness, upgrades have been consistently smooth and worry-free.

Pros

My notes mirror the way I reason through and manage medical problems and they also save me a substantial amount of time compared to the template-based systems I have used in the past.

Cons

I've had no issues and the whole user experience is excellent. To be honest, I often tell colleagues that making my clinical notes has become enjoyable rather than the monotonous chore I endured with template-driven systems.

It saves an enormous amount of time because it adapts as I use it so I avoid repeatedly documenting identical information the way you do with traditional platforms.

Cons

We've had an excellent experience up to now. The initial setup does require a fair amount of time yet their team has been unbelievably helpful every step of the way. They consistently respond to questions and provide unlimited assistance during training which has proven to be extremely valuable for our staff.

“Powerful program with great support

Pros

It's really easy to use and I notice myself getting quicker with it every single day. I've relied on it since I opened my practice as a foot doctor right after I finished residency training.

Cons

It's a solid program and their support team is helpful. From my experience, like anything new there's a learning curve but after investing a little time I became steadily quicker and more efficient.

I find this software very simple to manage. The support team is outstanding and I learned it very quickly.

Unfortunately, I can't prescribe controlled substances yet although I've been told that capability will be added soon.

“Well-organized EMR

Pros

I really appreciate how smoothly the EMR is organized. I find it very user-friendly to use. It's wonderful to be able to pull up the specific information our patients sometimes ask for. The system runs quickly and usually takes only a few seconds to launch at the start of the day. I also find the support team to be responsive and highly efficient when I have questions.

At the moment I can't come up with any complaints and to me that says a lot considering our clinic has been depending on this EMR since 2016.

Pros

It has completely changed how our practice runs. The AI component is incredible, it's like having a dedicated scribe or personal assistant that learns from the way we chart during patient visits and it even picks up on how our office staff operate. What I like most is how naturally Praxis fits into the workflow of the entire clinic. Many times it seems to anticipate what we need before we even request it and that foresight has made things much more efficient over time. It's leagues ahead of the EMR we used previously which I honestly disliked so I won't even go into that. The real differentiator is flexibility as I can tailor it to suit each of our specific needs, whether I'm documenting patient encounters or managing prescriptions. It's fast, easy to use and has saved me a considerable amount of time in my daily routine. Honestly, it has freed up more time for patient care and cut down on everyday frustrations so I'm a big fan and recommend it to others.

The only thing that bothers me is that this wasn't the first EMR we used.

For me it stands out because of its remarkable flexibility and how well it adjusts to my specific way of working. I find it convenient, logical and actually quite enjoyable to use. The underlying idea is simply brilliant.

After 26 years in private practice and having used three different EMRs, I can honestly say Praxis EMR has been the most effective and user-friendly system I've seen. What really sets it apart for me is the level of customization. I'm able to write notes in my own words so the documentation becomes clearer and actually fits the specific needs of my practice. Another major plus is how it organizes my workflow. The concept-building feature allows me to set up and document my work quickly in a way that suits my practice about 90% of the time. That cuts down on unnecessary clicking and spares me the frustration I've felt with overly complex systems. My scribe prefers working with it as well, especially compared to more rigid platforms like ModMed. It helps prevent documentation errors and noticeably boosts efficiency which is crucial in a busy clinic. Coding is much simpler with Praxis as I can integrate and adjust codes directly within the documentation process, including adding necessary modifiers. Editing notes is simple and retains the same ease as when they were created which is essential in a fast-paced setting where template-based systems often make editing a headache. It also adapts well for managing chronic patients, smoothly handling their ongoing needs. Its adaptive learning is impressive as the system begins to "learn" how I think and offers flexible treatment tools customized to specific situations. Over time it becomes faster and more aligned with my style of practice. One of the biggest time-savers for me is being able to save and reuse common documentation elements so I don't have to retype standard phrases repeatedly like with more rigid template systems. Overall, it has improved both the speed and accuracy of my clinic's documentation. Rather than forcing me into preset templates, it adapts to how I work, making patient care documentation more accurate. If you're a physician looking to enhance your practice and improve documentation quality, I highly recommend giving Praxis EMR a try.

Cons

No EHR is perfect and Praxis does require some online training up front. I found that once I invested the time to learn it, Praxis lets me document far more quickly than other systems and with far fewer clicks. For me, that reduction in clicking and the resulting efficiency is what really makes all the difference.

Pros

What I love is how simple it is to use. Instead of clicking through every single checkbox, I'm able to freely write notes for a given patient and those notes attach to that specific chart or I can save them broadly for other patients with similar diagnoses. Over time the system even understands my individual writing and documentation style.

Cons

The only relatively small gripe I have is how it handles sending controlled-substance prescriptions to the pharmacy.

Pros

Working in medical billing, I love being able to direct my clients to an affordable, user-friendly EHR platform. The layout is amazing and I think it enables providers to concentrate more fully on patient care and organizes documentation and workflow overall efficiently.

Honestly I have nothing negative to report and working with them has been an excellent experience.
