My experience with Prime Suite

Pros

Being a CMA in a bustling Family practice, having a functional EMR is essential. I found Prime Suite to be just that. It streamlined charting which makes it quick and simple. Refilling medications, checking lab/imaging results, referring patients to specialists, scheduling appointments and collaborating with other physicians were all easy tasks.

Cons

I believe a feature is missing or unclear to me is the one that allows me to set up reminders for necessary follow-ups.

HIPAA nightmare upon retirement

Pros

I started using this software with a legacy product that Greenway acquired. It offered a reliable platform for our medical billing functions.

Cons

Retiring was a HIPAA nightmare. Data extraction became impossible once the service contract ended.

I have nothing positive to share about this software.

Cons

I've had an awful experience with customer service. A support ticket regarding a prescription history error has been open for 253 days without any contact. Despite requesting a supervisor, none could be found.

You are on your own

Pros

We've been using this product at site 64 for over a decade. The clinical aspect is user-friendly and intuitive, although we have received no support for learning. The notes are clear and easy to complete.

Cons

The management aspect is notably challenging, compounded by the lack of adequate instruction. Despite investing in advanced training, progress has delayed. Support for both software and billing is abysmal. Unwanted charges persist for unused features, and communication lapses are evident, with unresolved issues lingering for over two months.

Beware!

Pros

Implementation was challenging. We had to completely reorganize our office workflow and create most of the visit templates ourselves. However after that it is working ok.

Cons

Continuous issues are failing this software, from glitches to sudden operational halts due to unannounced "upgrades." Recent one-sided changes imposed by the provider necessitate a complete internet overhaul on our end. Transitioning to a new product has been hindered by uncooperative companies, disrupting office operations for weeks. The lack of assistance in rectifying self-inflicted problems is exasperating.

Repeatedly Bill for services despite being paid

Pros

It functions, but nothing extraordinary. It can easily be replaced by less expensive alternatives with fewer interruptions due to their mistakes.

Cons

The Billing department is completely disorganized. Despite setting up monthly payments, they intermittently suspend our services for alleged non-payment, triggering a tedious resolution process involving multiple calls and document submissions. This recurring issue has escalated, making us to seek an alternative vendor promptly.

Once you create the template, using it is not a hassle.

Cons

Poor customer support has led to daily login delays for months. Despite contacting Customer Service, they failed to resolve the issue. Monthly occurrences of data loss due to system malfunctions necessitate redoing notes, compounded by frequent error messages.

The most beneficial aspect is the ability to have an Administrator control permission within the office, rather than needing IT or software company assistance.

Cons

Nobody loves their EHR

Pros

The reporting and Billing Department are its strongest points. I started with GRS in February 2018. The team is responsive and professional. In my view, if I lost my GRS team, I would switch away from Greenway.

Cons

Service responsiveness remains a concern, with unresolved tickets dating back to December still pending in mid-February.

Gets the job done, but not sure for how much longer.

Pros

The software boasts a modern interface with user-friendly menus and modules. It facilitates creating aesthetically pleasing notes that can be as detailed as needed with customizable templates (although crafting them can be time-consuming, it pays off later). Generating various reports for data analysis is a breeze, and the excellent customer support, along with the convenient chat feature, is a major plus.

Cons

While the software's functionality is commendable, configuring or editing components like schedules, templates and reports can be time-consuming. The absence of templates for new user creation is a significant drawback as it requires manual setup for each user.

We've Used Primesuite for 7 years!

Pros

We initially used local servers for PrimeSuite but transitioned to the cloud-based version, which has been fantastic. This move enabled us to seamlessly manage multiple locations and integrate patient reminders and collection services. PrimeSuite has truly streamlined our operations.

Cons

This software can be a little expensive. If you can justify the cost, I would highly recommend it.

PrimeSuite user with Perspective

Pros

The ability to create templates for accurate documentation during care significantly enhances our efficiency in submitting clean claims.

Cons

The reporting and analytics of the software could be improved in that the canned reports are fundamental but the need to customize Is difficult to navigate in PrimeSuite. The need to establish benchmarks and other measurable statistics is increasingly required to manage our practice, therefore a dynamic reporting and analytics suite is a premium.

There are no redeeming qualities to this program. I strongly advise against using it.

Cons

Great Product, Needs Better Coding

The customer service is exceptional. Reporting is simplified and I also like the option to generate reports by CPT codes, patients, charges, etc.

Cons

Certain windows fail to expand to full screen, causing frustration, especially with daily schedules restricted to 3/4 of the screen. The Financial Intelligence feature lacks user-friendly functionality.

User Friendly EMR

Pros

We've relied on Greenway since our practice's inception in 2004. We advise new hires that basic computer skills are all they need to swiftly adapt it. The exceptional customer support includes a chat feature for issue resolution without the need for phone calls.

Cons

Report navigation can be confusing which leads to to unintended selections. Improved communication regarding updates is needed too.
