“Best deal.. no video record
Pros
After moving from SimplePractice to Sessions I mainly did it for the lower cost. I really like how interactive the platform is and how quickly customer support responds to me.
Cons
I'd love to have a telehealth feature built into the app so I can record sessions directly. Other than that, I have no complaints, it works perfectly!

“exactly what a private practice needs
Pros
Exactly what I need to run my private practice. I really appreciate the online support , whenever I have a question someone from Sessions Health gets back to me to help troubleshoot. When I first signed up, the data import was fantastic so I didn't have to figure that process out by myself.
Cons
I accidentally minimized the video and I couldn't figure out how to restore it or reopen it again easily. I wish the video window could be a separate, movable popup so I could drag it completely out of the way and still have full access to the EHR when I need the screen space.

“Easy switch with great help
Pros
Switching to it from my previous program was easy. I found their customer service prompt, friendly and genuinely helpful.
Cons
So far I haven't found anything I dislike. I'd appreciate having integration options with treatment planners, like the Wiley series.

“Good but pricey
Pros
It is extremely user-friendly, the support team is consistently responsive and very helpful, it's good value for the price, my patients say it's simple to use and it really aligns billing insurance and keeping track of claims.
Cons
It is expensive. Also I'd like a way to send office-wide messages to every active client so I can quickly notify them of schedule changes or office closures.

“very simple to use
Pros
I've really appreciated how smooth the EHR is and how easily I can get around the system. For me the cost has been justified by what the platform offers.
Cons
Honestly I am not fond of the platform's revenue section and I don't like that it can't be tailored to show the information I prefer on my home page.

“Locally hosted and user-friendly UI
Pros
One thing I really like is that it's hosted locally for me while also being available to my mental health provider. The UI is also very user-friendly and I've found it simple to onboard and train new interns to use the system.
Cons
When problems come up, I mostly struggle with two things. First adjusting entries for late cancellations that I do not bill. Second, figuring out how much income a specific provider brought in over a chosen time frame. So it would help a lot if the income allocation screen showed a running total at the bottom for whatever period I am looking at. Also I wish supervisors had permission to make tiny edits to case notes, just to fix spelling or minor typing mistakes, so I do not have to go through a longer correction workflow every time.

“Unbeatable value for a solo practice
Pros
the user interface isvery clean and interactive and the customer support replies to me quickly whenever I reach out. New tools and capabilities keep getting added all the time and it feels a lot like SimplePractice while costing me far less.
Cons
To be honest I really struggle to find anything I dislike about it. I can't think of features that bother me and as someone running a solo practice, I wholeheartedly recommend it.

“The clean & customizable choice!
Pros
I'm really impressed with the recent updates to the interface, it looks much cleaner and is now easier to read. I also love the calendar feature: there are plenty of options for each appointment, moving bookings between days is smooth and creating separate calendars for different services is effortless. Honestly I appreciate almost every part of it. For more reasons than I could possibly list here, it's the EHR platform I prefer over SimplePractice, My Best Practice and others I've tried. Customer support has always left me satisfied and the features are flexible and valuable especially considering the price I pay.
Cons
My least favorite thing is tough to pin down because there's very little I dislike overall. If I had to pick one, it would be the built-in Telehealth feature. About a year ago I used Sessions' video and it hiccuped across three or four appointments in the same week which pushed me to switch over to Zoom for those clients. I don't know whether it's been improved since then so I can't vouch for its current reliability. From what I've seen online, other therapists report it's working fine for them but my personal experience made me stick with Zoom for telehealth.

“affordable and supremely helpful

I am happy with how affordable this product was. The customer support team was helpful and quick to answer my questions. Their explanations were clear, simple to follow and I didn't need to reach out again for clarification.
Cons
Finding the correct insurance plan in the insurance section was a little confusing for me because the options weren't laid out clearly so I had trouble choosing the right one. Making note templates also felt somewhat awkward and time-consuming although customer service did offer a few practical suggestions to help.

“simple for the solo practitioner
Pros
I love how smooth it is and that I can tweak it to fit exactly what I need, as a one-person business it suits me perfectly and never feels overwhelming and I think the price is reasonable.
Cons
On the Insights screen, I'd like more options to tailor how my income is displayed , for example the ability to type in a custom date range so I can compare earnings over a specific period rather than being limited to presets like the last 30 days, 12 weeks, or a year.

Pros
the feature set and the customer support, both are outstanding. It was really smooth for me to set everything up and begin using it quickly. The video tutorials were a nice extra.
Cons
I can't file workers' compensation claims because the system doesn't let me attach the narrative that's required. I'd like to see more automatic scoring features added and it would be helpful to be able to schedule assessments to automatically send to clients.

“smooth from start to finish
Pros
Using it feels very smooth and easy which made getting started easy. I've also noticed the support team responds quickly whenever I have questions and the YouTube library removes a lot of the guesswork for me.
Cons
Honestly I don't have any complaints. Back when I was searching for a solution it ticked every box I had and I've seen so many improvements over time that it's become even better for my needs.

“automated and organized solution
Pros
It has made the tedious admin side of my practice much more efficient and even automated tasks I didn't realize could be handled that way. I'm especially fond of the auto-scored assessments and how easily it connects to my credit card processor. Plus, the daily digests highlight pending tasks in a clear, organized manner so my workflow remains as uninterrupted and smooth as possible.
Cons
I'd like it to be able to forecast actual take-home income rather than just showing billed amounts. Often there's a big gap between what I bill and what insurers actually pay under our contracts so having a realistic projection of expected revenue would make financial planning a lot more accurate and useful.

“consistently helpful and friendly experience
Pros
It is very friendlyand easy to use. When I have questions or run into issues, the team usually responds within 24 hours and they've helped me on numerous occasions in ways I didn't expect their customer service to go.
Cons
It would be great to have more flexibility to customize reports and calendars. I'm glad to hear they are listening to feedback from users like me and considering these improvements.

I am a big fan of being able to tailor my clinical documents , there are templates available that I can tweak to suit my needs. Customer support is also impressively quick whenever I have any questions about the product.
Cons
I've noticed that certain measures like the DES-II, need to be scored by either the client or the therapist which can be a bit inconvenient.

I am impressed with their customer service. I can easily reach a real person who responds within a few hours, unlike other sites that keep funneling me to FAQ pages or make me submit a question only to get a vague answer several days later that doesn't address what I asked.
Cons
It would be great if there was an easier way to integrate Availity or other insurer portals to check coverage. As I really wish I could do all of my benefits checking from one place instead of switching between systems.
