Top-notch service

Pros

Their customer service has been the best part for me. Whenever something comes up, I reach out through chat and every single time the conversation ends with the issue fully resolved.

Cons

I can't say there's really anything I dislike overall though I have run into a few issues with the notes feature and pulling in previous notes.

Plenty of helpful information

Pros

We found it easy to use and I've been working with it for years now. Whenever I wasn't sure how to do something, there was plenty of helpful information available to guide me.

Cons

The only slight frustration has been needing to switch back and forth between the agenda and the schedule though that may just come down to me learning a better workflow that fits how I use it.

Well-trained support staff

Pros

The value has been solid and the platform is simple to use especially for billing by credit card. Scheduling is a major reason I rely on it and being able to send paperwork directly to clients is also a big benefit. Customer support has been professional, attentive and quick to respond which has definitely been a plus.

Cons

Scrolling function often stops working on my Android phone. This never used to happen when I first started using the software but over the past year I've had to reach out to IT multiple times to try to fix it. The solutions seem to help temporarily, then the problem comes back again. It's very inconsistent too. Sometimes the schedule will not scroll and right now it happens when I'm trying to write notes, it scrolls briefly and then freezes. That problem alone has made me seriously question whether I should keep using the product because it really needs to be dependable and fully compatible with smartphones. On top of that, this year I received a 1099 under my personal name instead of my company name. I believe that may have been related to the change from Vantage to Ensura but I'm still not sure how it happened. After several emails, it sounds like it should be corrected by the next tax cycle but it was another frustrating issue. I don't really care who processes the credit card payments but having it not match my company name felt like something important was missed. I can let it go as long as my 2026 tax documents are accurate.

uncluttered layout

Pros

Its so easy to manage. The layout is very simple and when I log in, I only see the clients assigned to me which keeps everything focused and uncluttered.

Cons

The part I'm least satisfied with is the EMR since it feels like it could use a more modern update to make patient charts quicker and easier for users to access.

Superb AI support for notes

Pros

AI support has noticeably improved the quality of my notes. It also does a really good job helping create appropriate treatment plans based on the client's diagnosis.

Cons

Telehealth side can be frustrating at times because it sometimes runs into issues during sessions. It also feels pretty limited overall in terms of what the platform can do.

scheduling changes made it frustrating

Pros

The AI quality is impressive and it makes my written notes sound more polished and sophisticated. Scheduling used to be one of the better parts of the system but that hasn't felt true since the recent changes.

Cons

The recent abrupt scheduling update has been really frustrating. It feels complex, not very clinician-friendly and far more complicated than it needs to be.

Fair pricing system

Pros

Its pretty user-friendly and once you understand how the overall system is laid out, it's fairly simple to use. The pricing model has also been a big plus since it's based on the number of clients rather than the number of staff members. That made a real difference for us when we were first starting out.

Cons

One thing that still bothers me is how group sessions need to be scheduled. It's also frustrating that when someone is removed from a group, they can still appear on the progress notes list. Even though the system does show that they were removed from the group, it still ends up being an annoyance for our staff.

Handy update notifications

Pros

Quite convenient to use and it makes managing my time slots much simpler. I also really appreciate the update notifications because they clearly explain what changed and how those changes are meant to improve workflow, quality of work and overall time management.

Cons

Every now and then, the system bugs out and creates duplicate time slots. This has happened several times when I set up recurring sessions for clients over multiple days or weeks. The appointments do not always save the way they should so I end up having to go back and enter them manually. I am also not a fan of the new billing system since it feels less efficient than the old one. The previous process was more direct, while now I have to open a separate page every time I bill a client which feels unnecessary compared with how simple it used to be.

amazing AI support for documentation

Pros

I find it to be user-friendly and the month-at-a-glance calendar makes scheduling simple to review quickly. The notes area also includes AI support which helps create accurate documentation while typing.

Cons

When I switch between screens some of the information I already entered can disappear. That means I end up having to type parts of my responses over again.

Tech support is easy to reach

Pros

Getting around it feels easy, the documentation is clear and client demographic information is simple to locate. Customer service and tech support are also easy to reach when needed.

Cons

Every now and then, the microphone or video stops working. Usually I have the client log out and back in and that fixes it though I'm not sure whether it's their internet connection since it seems to happen fairly often.

incredible dropdown menus

Pros

Entering most information is pretty simple and the available options make the process more useful. The dropdown menus are especially helpful and I appreciate having different choices when putting together reports for my clients. It also helps me meet insurance carrier requirements so I can focus on counseling my clients appropriately.

Cons

A few pages, like the Locus and discharge pages, still appear even though they are no longer being used. It's frustrating to click into them only to realize they shouldn't be there. I'm also not a fan of the scheduling section because it can double-book or even triple-book a client. Then I have to go back through the calendar and fix each appointment one by one which is really bothersome.

Tidy interface

Pros

Right from the start, it has been simple to work with and the interface feels clean and user-friendly. I appreciate that it keeps everything simple instead of packing in a bunch of unnecessary features or overly complicated tools. It does a good job of helping me stay organized throughout my daily therapy sessions and keeps important tasks in front of me. The reminders for treatment plans and progress notes are especially useful when it comes to staying on top of documentation. I also appreciate that the system flags notifications when there's an issue with a client's file which helps keep things from falling through the cracks.

Cons

Every now and then, there are small issues with telehealth sessions. Sometimes the video quality is inconsistent or a client has trouble getting into the session although it doesn't happen very often.

AI note feature saves time

Pros

It is uncomplicated and userfriendly. Booking appointments is simple and updating my schedule is quick and hassle-free whenever I need to make changes. The AI note feature has also been a big help because it lets me finish documentation faster and saves me a lot of time.

Cons

The AI note feature doesn't work for the initial assessment and having it available there too would be really useful. I'd also rather see the "Reminder Log" as its own tab instead of tucked inside a drop-down menu since that would make it faster and more convenient to find.

Lets us communicate with multiple people

Pros

The user-friendly layout made it comfortable to work with and being able to communicate with several people at the same time is a big plus. I'm particularly happy with the appointment tools and related features.

Cons

Honestly there isn't much for me to complain about. The only time I get tripped up is when the page layout changes since it takes me a little while to adjust but that feels more like my own learning curve than a problem with the software.

Budget-friendly option

Pros

Its been a great experience because both my clients and I can use it without any trouble. We also appreciate being able to access it easily from our phones and the pricing makes it a very cost-effective option.

Cons

There is very little I dislike about it though like many online apps, it can occasionally glitch or feel a bit slow on certain days.

Ideal choice for smaller practices

Pros

Having everything in one place is a big advantage. It covers scheduling, billing, documentation and other key tasks without needing separate systems. The pricing is flexible which makes it a solid fit for smaller practices and the customer support team has been helpful with quick response times.

Cons

the mobile app still doesn't offer all the same features you get on the desktop version. Customization is also somewhat limited and a few of the templates could use more flexibility.

not happy with support and billing contracts

Pros

There are definite positives about the EHR. As I keep thousands of clients in the platform and it performed reliably under its previous ownership. However since the new company took over, the experience has not been nearly as good.

Cons

I am really frustrated with the support especially when it comes from people at the director level as their help has been of no use. I feel like a very unhappy customer now. They are forcing me into a billing contract that seems unnecessary, even though I have repeatedly told them they are not fulfilling their responsibilities. I've contacted the insurance companies we bill multiple times and each time they say they never received claims that TheraNest claims were submitted.

automated appointment reminders

Pros

One thing I really like is the telehealth integration as now it is reliable and simple for my clients to connect with. The automated appointment reminders have noticeably cut down my no-shows and I also find the customizable progress-note templates very handy for keeping records consistent.

Cons

Customer support can be slow to respond. When I run into a problem, it often takes a while to reach a real person, which is a bit of a downside when I need help quickly.

Difficult to create documents with rising fees

Pros

I like how well the calendar works and that I can tailor it to fit my workflow. The platform also comes with pre-built templates so I didn't have to start from scratch.

Cons

In my experience I found it difficult to create my own documents. Plus the fees rise a lot as my practice expands and I struggled to get in touch with customer support when problems came up.
