Average software. Much room for improvements.

Pros

The TotalMD software takes care of your patient’s records, everyday documentation and practice management needs. Their PM platform has worked wonders for our clinic. Their Revenue cycle management module is fairly good, no advanced features though. Their support staff is incredibly patient and helpful. They do not rip you off by charging for individual things, very reasonable. Not the best there is on the market but it works fine and delivers value for money.

Cons

The reporting feature does not work as smooth as one would want. The system does not integrate well with the clearinghouse which adds to our work. Not the most user-friendly software I have used. Some features are quite outdated and exhibit too many glitches that the site crashes every now and then.

Highly recommended for small to mid-size practices

Pros

The software is very reasonably priced and has some great functionalities to offer. The system is designed so that it is comprehensive to the users and easy to operate. It is super easy to set up the system, no difficulty in implementation. They have excellent support staff to help you with any issues along the way. I have been very pleased with its performance and would definitely recommend it to other small to mid-sized medical health practices.

Cons

The cloud-based version can sometimes seem heavy and slow. I wish it allowed you to use the service with any clearinghouse easily.

Nothing bad to say about the software. It is an excellent product.

Pros

The product is really amazing. It is very easy to learn and use, the price is fair, their tech support is doing a great job at helping and assisting, and the best thing is that I can use it from any computer, even when I was abroad. We literally think that we should have made the decision of using TotalMD 5 year earlier, but better late than never. The insurance and billing is extremely quick and accurate. There are no glitches that we see, and its been quite a while.

Cons

Sometimes we have to wait when the line is queued, but once youre connected with them you get their undivided attention until the problem gets resolved.

High performance system

Pros

It is an easy to use software, its performance in all aspects is super amazing. It is a reliable system, no worries of data being corrupted, the data is well secured. There isn’t much need of support with this system. Their video library also keeps on increasing which is very informative and FREE as well. The system has an error reduction capability. It is cost-effective. Overall it is a great software and I would recommend everyone to get this system and make their lives easy.

Cons

If you have a large office, it would be best to get your current system evaluated before installing and setting things up, because later that might cause an issue if your equipment is older.

Gets the job done. Good staff

Pros

The most prominent quality of TotalMD might just be the fact that it is quite cheap in comparison to other similar products on the market. And it works fairly alright. The software is comprehensive. It does most the things you would need an EHR to do. It is not difficult to maneuver. The support team is very efficient. We have had technical problems in the past but the staff fixes them in time.

Cons

When we started using this software, we faced a swarm of technological problems with the system but the tech support team accessed our computers to fix it for us. There were teams when we were required to keep our computers on for hours for them to work on fixing problems with the software.

A decent cost-effective service

Pros

We are very satisfied with CP’s performance. We switched to it fairly recently. Setting up and implementation took less than a month. Most of this work is done remotely which saved us money. Our whole staff utilizes the EHR solution, it is very easy to navigate for everyone. The coding is up to date. Locating documents and retrieving medical records is considerably simple with ChartPerfect. All in all, a very good economical solution for all types of medical healthcare facilities.

Cons

updates take a while to install. No other major issues.

Many great features for the price

Pros

According to the price, its a great software with great features. Our previous experience with a practice management system was a failure. The installation of this software was very quick and smooth, the training was nice, and the system is easy to use. They offer a fully functional demo which helps you give an idea of how it is and helps you make your decision of whether or not you want it. It feels like we chose the right software as it has been a great experience. It has really amazing features like text reminders, customizable pages, interactive real-time texting, customizable reports, customizable templates etc.

Cons

There is no patient history or recalling for lost patients. The texts that we receive does not show the patients name. The icons are very small and there is not feature or functionality to enlarge the icons and font.

Easy to use but could use some updating for facility billing and report staff

Pros

It is easy to learn and to use, and some of the tech support helps you resolve the issues that you are facing.

Cons

It would be better if they do some updating on the facility billing and probably hired a new report writer as well as he seems very annoyed/irritated whenever he is contacted.

Among the bests out there

Pros

People at TotalMD genuinely care about providing a good satisfactory service to their clients rather than focusing on making money off of them. They charge you by the user and no provider which is great of them. This helps small practices work cost effectively. The platform has a lot to offer. It has all this choice for features and things you can do with it. And all that at a very reasonable price. I cannot rave enough about their customer service. I am really glad they kept it in-house.

Cons

The do not as yet have a toll which verifies addresses for you which causes for slight inconvenience and extra work. Although the people at TotalMD have given assurance that they are introducing that in the upcoming version.

Recommended for clinics. Saves time

Pros

A very user-friendly interface. The software is very simple to operate and efficient in its working. TotalMD has helped us achieve a lot ever since we started on it. It has a number of great features. Charting is a breeze and it has helped clear up so much time off of the physicians’ schedule. Another great thing is that it allows us to do charting on our own which is more efficient compared to when the company does that for you so when you have to do the billing, there are a lot less errors and you know what is what. Everything gets done very quickly which allows us to attend more patients in a day, helping us turn a better revenue cycle.

Cons

None. We have been very satisfied with its performance. There are glitches in the system sometimes. Getting hold of customer service can take a lot of time.

Using it for private practice

Pros

The system offers you all the tools necessary to form 1500s, modify them on the software and send them out. Correct any errors and update billings and keep tabs on the revenue cycle.

Cons

The system is full of glitches. I have software designing experience before I joined the healthcare profession so I can acknowledge and appreciate the great work that has been put into programming this complex software to be comprehensive and user-friendly. i understand fully the difficulties they would have had to overcome and the sheer will they would have needed to build it. When I have an issue, I have to first pay and get a ticket to get access to a support staff member. There is a punch card given to you for the number of calls you are allowed to make. To hire a member who can do my billing for me, I have to pay to have him trained. So, I ended up doing my own billings since I know my way around, the rest I believe I have cracked, for the most part. There is still a lot of of errors in statements and unbalanced bills and they are quite exhausting and tough to change.

Pros

Decent layout. Their support staff is competent. They always help with any queries and issues in a timely fashion.

Cons

when we switched to TotalMD, transferring data from our existing system to it was such a huge hassle. The vendor and our time zones differed which furthered the delay

Highly recommended. Awesome service.

Pros

One of the best EHR software companies out there. TotalMD has taken care of our needs since the very beginning. Their support staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. Any and all issues reported are expected to be resolved in a timely manner. The system is easy to operate and great to work with and most of the credit for it goes to their incredibly courteous staff. The billing part of the system is good. Filing claims virtually is very simple and quick.

Cons

We have not come across any major issues so far that the support staff didn’t readily help us with.

Pros

First of all the product is very easy to learn and use. Secondly, it also supports all our billing needs, which is great, and the tech support is responsive and helps in resolving problems instantly. The second level support is excellent!
