Pros

The database available is a real lifesaver when I'm trying to figure out how to do something. Its clear and gives me all the info I need.

Cons

Its frustrating when the website is down because it really slows things down. It impacts how smoothly operations run.

The simplicity of this system is a real plus. The dashboard is clean and makes it super easy to see what tasks I need to focus on next.

Cons

I find myself needing to restart the system a lot because of the errors. Its time consuming and a bit annoying.

Pros

Valant interface is easy to use with clear sections for documentation. Plus I like that previous session details carry over which makes tracking progress easier. The group notes feature and the option to save and edit macros are also really helpful.

Cons

I wish I could remove tabs that I don't need in my usual note template and have the ability to personalize my notes like saving certain subheadings in a template.

“turned out pretty good

Pros

Everything about it is good but I like the scheduling software and client portal are user friendly, easy to understand and simple to navigate.

Cons

There are some areas that I wish were more customizable. Also I feel like the overall design could use more color as it feels a bit dull and the screens don't stand out as much.

One of the best things about Valant is how logical and complete the system feels as it covers a lot in one place.

It is just another new thing I had to learn which was not ideal.

Well I am not fond of how the treatment plan is set up. There are limited drop down options and for things like depression, the options are minimal. I do like the customization but it takes a lot of time and is not the most user-friendly.

Pros

Valant EHR works for all kinds of providers such as therapists, psychiatrists and medication managers so clinics with different specialists can use one system. Plus it even includes a prescription tab for prescribers which I find really useful.

The layout was a little tricky to work with at first.

Being able to view multiple screens at the same time without leaving my current task is really helpful and saves me time.

I noticed that the support is slow to respond after submitting a ticket which makes getting help take longer than it should.

One thing I think that is missing is a pop-up or alarm system for overdue paperwork.

The how to videos are very helpful and the portal is really user-friendly. It doesn't take me long to figure things out.

Reviewing and updating treatment plans is not easy as I expected as there are too many moving parts.

Scheduling clients with the calendar is not a problem anymore and the option to create macros is something I like the most. Also whenever I call for help, the reps are always available for help.

I like it even more if the treatment plans followed Jongsma's EBT plans.

The ability to schedule reminder messages, check documentation status and see upcoming appointments is proven highly beneficial for us.

One thing we wish for is an option to send reminders to two different phone numbers instead of just one.

Finally, spell check is here. Plus everything connects so well and I love how things repopulate. Honestly, I did pick this over other platforms.

The treatment plan setup is confusing and takes way too much time. Some features like reminders are nice but figuring everything out is too much work. Also I feel like it would be great to have a genogram option or the ability to write directly on a touchscreen and save the doc. Right now scanning and uploading takes extra time. I would also love an option to upload specific documents and be able to write on them digitally like assessments or unique client forms.

Valant EHR is very easy to use and navigate. Also it is clearly built with behavioral health professionals in mind and setting it up isn't nearly as complicated as other systems I come across.

Cons

It is advertised as customizable but the notes section is not truly customizable. It would be nice to create personalized assessments and notes, just like the intake paperwork.

Pros

It makes documentation simple, has everything for practice management and EHR in one system. Also it is quite affordable. Overall I am very happy with it.

Cons

System reports are tough to navigate and make it hard for me to find the information I need.

A great EMR software for behavioral health or any medical practice. I find it very user-friendly and easy to navigate.

Cons

Once a patient is entered into Valant, they stay in the system. There is no option to fully remove them, which annoys me.

Not only is it simple to use but has all the essential features we needed in a practice.

It is not as intuitive as some other platforms I have used. Maybe there are just too many features to sift through.
